Cooking at its best with Johanne McInnis

Ok, don’t look at the name of this recipe and go…… Hewwwwww?! It’s actually a very satisfying but light dessert especially if you serve it with a scoop of ice cream or some yogurt. Try it, you’ll see I wasn’t lying.

Broiled bananas with coconut and cinnamon
4 Ripe bananas
1 tbsp Lemon juice
2 tbsp Brown sugar
2 tbsp Dried coconut
¾ tsp Cinnamon

1.        Peel bananas and cut in half lengthwise. In a baking dish large enough to hold them (I use 13X9), arrange bananas in a single layer. Sprinkle with lemon juice.

2.        In a small bowl, combine sugar, coconut and cinnamon. Sprinkle evenly over bananas.

3.        Place under hot broiler (500F) for 3 to 5 minutes or until bananas are golden brown and tender.
