Cooking at its best with Johanne McInnis

As strange as this sounds, I make it almost every year for Thanksgiving. The kids especially like it and I don’t recall there ever being any leftovers? You be the judge, if you like cranberries, you’ll love this recipe.

Cranberry blizzard pie
1 pkg Cranberry jello (85g)
1/2 cup Cranberry sauce
1 Orange, grated and sectioned (membranes removed)
1 tub Cool whip (1 L), thawed
1 Graham wafer crumb prepared pie

1.        Prepare jello as directed decreasing boiling water to 2/3 cup.

2.        Stir in cranberry sauce and orange.

3.        Fold in whipped topping. (Chill until slightly thickened, about 10 minutes. Spoon into pie crust. Chill 3 hours.

Makes 8 servings.
