THESE OLD VETS

Listen folks and hear my plea
thank the lord that your'e free
With each new dawn and each new sunset
Your thanks must go to these old vets.

They fought so hard they fough so brave
they fought and died our freedom to save
So on Remembrance Day please don't forget
buy a poppy from these old vets.

Now when you see them on the street
please folks be generous during this week
"Whatever you give now folks I'll bet
you'll get a thanks from these old vets

Some are wearing scars of war
some are sleeping on foreign shores
So little they're asking you folks and yet
much can be done for these old vets.
