A Naval Hymn
On restless waves that roll to shore.
Afloat to every storm that blows,
Alert to all above, below,
"Men of the Navy guarding still!
All valiant hearts, bend to God's will"
The "Silent Service" is the best,
From Navy manhood, stufry breed.
In quiet homes, high thoughts they keep,
For goodly homes, their country's need.
"Men of the Navy guarding still!
All valiant hearts, bend to God's will"
In life and battle they will fight,
In fog, in storm, in heat and cold,
They trust their hold, they keep in sight,
Against aggression, to their fold.
"Men of the Navy guarding still!
All valiant hearts, bend to God's will"
A life of danger is their due,
Guarding freedom, foes would spoil.
Holding fast to purpose true,
All in service share the toil.
"Men of the Navy guarding still!
All valiant hearts, bend to God's will"
G. Stuart Grimmer.
