GOUDREAU, MARY (IMHOFF)

It is with great sadness that the family of Mary (Imhoff) Goudreau, 77, announces her passing on Tuesday, February 2nd, 2016.

Born and raised in New Carlisle, Quebec, Mary eventually moved to Campbellton to study nursing. There, she met and fell in love with Richard Goudreau. Together, they raised four daughters with family at the center of their lives. Mary was a Registered Nurse for 38 years, first at the Hotel Dieu Saint Joseph, then at the Campbellton Regional Hospital. Mary was always kind, gentle and compassionate, caring for family and friends. Her sense of humour brought smiles to all and she enjoyed lighthearted banter with her family. She had a special way of welcoming visitors to her home, offering a meal, a game of cards, a kind word, and a good conversation. In 2004, Mary and her husband Richard moved to Moncton to enjoy their retirement years closer to family.

Mary will be sadly missed by her daughters Carol Lévesque (Léo-James), Joanne Thomas (Allan), Janet Cormier (Gerard), and Natalie Cann (Brian); grandchildren André (Micheline), Julie, Jeremy, Jacob, Isabelle, Brigitte, Nikki, Gabby, Alex and Jennifer; great-grandson Simon; brother Eric Imhoff (Margaret) and sister Irene Gendron (Richard); many nieces and nephews, and extended family members. Pre-deceased by Richard, her husband of 54 years, her parents Emily (Labrecque) and Frederic Imhoff, her brothers Charles, Francis, and Gerald, and her sisters Vera and Ruth.

Family and friends are invited to share memories at the visitation on Thursday, February 4th, 2016, from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at Fair Haven Funeral Home. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held in the chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home on Friday, February 5th at 3:00 pm.

Mary’s daughters express their deepest gratitude to the extramural nurses, especially Shelly, Drs. Veronique Legault, Pamela Mansfield, and Lisa Searle, the staff at the Moncton Hospital Clinic C, as well as other health professionals that have cared for Mom over the past few years. We will always remember your kindness.

If desired, memorial donations to The Friends of the Moncton Hospital or The Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.

Patricia Kearney

Patricia Shannon Kearney of Campbellton passed away at Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst on January 30, 2016 at the age of 86.

Pat will be sorely missed by her husband of 66 years, Robert Kearney, their five children, eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews. Pat was very proud of her family. She was an exceptional musician; her instruments included the fiddle, accordion, church organ, her forte being the piano. A true Maritimer, she was also a step dancer. She shared her gifts locally as well as during her travels throughout North America and Europe.

One of her proudest moments was the family group award in the Restigouche Music Festival. It consisted of Pat and her five children, all playing different instruments. She initiated the family group scholarship in 1968.

We would like to thank the medical staff who provided skilled and compassionate care to Pat and her family. We were very touched by the expressions of sorrow and sympathy from the many friends she has had over her life time.
