Monica Guitard

The death of Monica Guitard of Jacquet River occurred at the Palliative care unit of St. Joseph Hospital, January 9, 2013 at the age of 52. Born in Belledune she was the daughter of the late Garfield and Juliette (Martin).

Monica is survived by her husband Michael, son Mitch of Fredericton, daughter Ashley Goyette (Andrew) of Fredericton, grandchildren Avery and Anna as well as her sisters Sheila Guitard of Montreal and Debbie Losier of Belledune.

She was predeceased by her sister Stacia and brother Clayton.

Ambrose Guy Whalen

Ambrose Guy, smiling as he bids farewell at the controls of that great engine January 4, 2013. Born October 26, 1914 to James Whalen and Evelyn Savoie brother to Henry, Clarence, Valerie and William (predeceased) survived by Claudia Adams of Moncton.

Ambrose married Catherine Letterick (predeceased) and had children; Robert (Brenda) Ft., Sask, John (Sharon), Airdrie AB, Patrick, Moncton, Mary Jane Mailhot (Roger), Connecticut USA, Sandra Theriault (Ralph), Hammer On, Steven, Campbellton, and Cindy Lee predeceased 2004. Survived by Claire of AB, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, step children, nieces and nephews and numerous friends.

We'll always remember Dad for his love of trains, his infectious eyes, smile and his zest for life. Being an engineer on the CN was never a job, but a passion and until his last breath it just grew stronger.

Until we meet again we'll continue to smile as each train passes. Sleep tight, bon voyage!

Andrew Norton

The death of Andrew Norton occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on January 13, at age 99 and 10 months following a brief illness. Born in Niguasha, QC., he was the sonof the late Michael Norton and the late Margaret Greene.

He is the last surviving member of his immediate family.

Mr. Norton lived most of his life of the family farm where he raised sheep and grew strawberries. He also held a commercial fishing license for salmon and smelts.

He was predeceased by his wife Theresa Doucet and his siblings Allison, Irene, John, Grace, Elizabeth, Alma and Matthew.

Armand Doucette

January 14, 2013 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital at the age of 83, passed away Mr. Armand Doucette of Campbellton, husband of the late Annie Girouard Doucette. He was the son of the late Genevieve (Poirier) and the late Joseph Doucet.

He will be sadly missed by his children; Monique (Fred Crouch) of Ottawa, Roger (Denyse) of McLeod and Claude (Esther) of Ottawa; his grandchildren: Maryse, Christine, Nicholas, Gavriel and Francois; his great grandson; Owen; his friend of heart Francine Lebelle and her family, brother Arthur, sister Jeanne also by many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was predeceased by his wife parents and sister Yvonne.

Gertrude Hickey

The death of Gerty Hickey of Nash Creek occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital, January 10,2013 at the age of 85. Born in Gravelhill, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Stella (Gagne) LaPointe.

Gerty is survived by her sons; Adrian (Diane ) of Jacquet River, Ronnie (Susan) of Doyleville, Philip (Lorraine) of North Bay, Michael (Iva) of Nash Creek, Eric (Phoebe) of Timmons, Greg (Lynn) of Sussex, daughters; Stella Murchie (Ray) of Doyleville and Jocelyn LaPointe (Charles) of Nash Creek. She is also survived by her 16 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; sisters Doris, Roslyn, Cora and Florence as well as her brothers Leonard, Lawrence and Everet.

She was predeceased by her husband Oliver, brothers; Francis, Basil, James, Delphis and Everett as well as her sisters Janie Bertin and Mona Richard.

Marguerite Mae White

Resident of Deer Lake, NL., former resident of Tide Head, NB. On December 5, 2012, at the age of 91, the Lord called "Mom" home.

Predeceased by her husband Murray, son Beecher, and brothers Jamie, Malcolm, and Clarence, she will be missed by all who knew her, esecially by her sisters Muriel, Clarabelle, Doris, Ethel, Shirley, brother Jim (Percy), children Sheila (Denys), Curtis (Connie), Clarence (Nancy), and greg (Tara), grandchildren Amanda, Shara (Lyndon), Stephen, Diana, Loriley, Murray (Heather), Jaden, Rylee Mae, Derek, Patrick, Tanya, great step-children Jennifer, Nikki, Bobbi-Jo, and great grandson, Blake.

"Mom" was truly steadfast in faith, joyful in hope, and untiring in all the days of her life.

Cecile Horrelt

Passed away peacefully at the Dalhousie Nursing Home, on January 2, 2013 at the age of 78, Mrs. Cecile Horrelt of Dalhousie. She was born in Tracadie, NB on December 10, 1934.

Cecile was predeceased by her parents Adelard doiron and Catherine McMahon of Tracadie, NB and her husband Arthur William Horrelt of Dalhousie, NB. She is survived by her sisters Theresa Arseneault (Wilbrod) of moncton, Maria Arseneault (Herman) of Point La Nim, Louise Doiron of Dalhousie, and her brother Odelle Doiron of Woodville, ON. Her children Marsha Chedore (Gary) of Black Point, Pamela Horrelt (Todd) of Edmonton, AB and Jody Horrelt (Myrna) of Hamilton, ON. She is also survived by six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Prior to her lenghty illness with Alzheimer's she retired as manager of the Dalhousie Industrial Credit Union. Through her passion for music she was an active member of the Chaleur echoes and St John Bosco Choir. Friends and family remember her unique sense of humor and talent for making people laugh.

Gordon Hubert (Herky) Maisey

Peacefully at his residence in Toronto on December 30, 2012 at age 85.

Predeceased by his wife Sarah (Sally) Isaac. Also predeceased by his siblings Ruby and Jack Mackey; Harold; Beverley (Buster) and Gertrude (Gertie); Dorothy; Lionel (Joe) and Anita; Muriel and Baxter McFarlane; Douglas; Hazel and Herb Brown; Arnold; Mildred; Joyce; and Gerald. ordon was the son of the late Hubert and Susanne (Antle) Maisey of Campbellton.

He is survived by sisters in law Marie Maisey and Mary Charlong and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

Gordon served with the Department of Defense Naval Services, Merchant Marines. He was an employee of the City of Toronto, Public Works and a proud member of CUPE Locals 43 & 79.

Gordon was a fiercely independent man who gave freely of himself and was selfless in his acts of kindness. He believed in giving ack to his community and was a volunteer at Dixon Hall, and was a regular blood donor for the Red Cross.

Gordon will be lovingly remembered by his family and friends.

Marie Driscoll

The death of Marie Driscoll of Bathurst and formerly of Jacquet River occurred at the Bathurst Regional Hospital Sunday, January 13, 2013 at the age of 82. Born in Jacquet River, she was the daughter of Clarence and Stella (Page) Furlotte.

Marie is survived by her husbnd Allan; sons Gary (Cindy) of Moncton, Brian (Anne) of Bathurst; daughters Donna Winton (David) of Dalhousie, June Riggs 9Fraser) of Ottawa; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; as well as her sister Avelda Noel of Moncton.

She was predeceased by her brother Vincent.

Pallbearers were David Winton, Fraser Riggs, Bobby Furlotte, Brian Driscoll, Lee LaPointe and Alex winton.

Helena Benwell

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on January 10, 2013 at the age of 98, Mrs. Helen Benwell of Campbellton. Born in Dundee, she was the daughter of the late Lazare Savoie and the late Edith Calvert.

She leaves to mourn her daughter Helena Benwell of St Thomas, ON, her sons Danny Benwell (Monique) of Campbellton, Mike Benwell (Marilyn) of Tide Head, Stephen Benwell (Lillian) of London, ON, Allen Benwell of Campbellton, Ivan Benwell of Robinsonville and David Benwell of Campbellton, her sister Edith Theriault of Atholville. Also survived by her four grandchildren Johanne, Kevin, Brian and Trevor, four great-grandchildren Kirstin, Alexander, Tyson and Brandon, many nieces and nephews.

Predeseased by two children Lester and Carol-Anne, her husband Daniel Benwell.

Pallbearers: hur sons and her daughter. Honorary pallbeares were her home care workers.

Marie Eveline Geraldine Boudreau

Eveline passed away with her family at her side, after a courageous battle with cancer on January 10, 2013 at the age of 88. We witness the passing of a very independent woman with a zest for life.

She is survived by her children Vera Adams Lyons, Carl Adams (Dawn), Beulah Adams, Lorne Adams, Avis Adams, Marilyn Adams, 16 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by six sisters Opal, Yvonne, Lou, Martha and Margaret, seven brothers Alonzo, Yvon, Rene, Clement, Jacques, Donald and Robert.

Eveline was predeceased by daughter Anne in 2006 and son Ursal in 1980. She is also predeceased by 1st husband Murray Adams, 2nd husband Amedee Lapointe, brothers Simon and Willard and sister Corinne.
