Phyllis Cyr

It is with great sadness that the family of Phyllis Cyr announces her passing at the Chaleur Regional Hospital on January 15, 2014. Born in Campbellton , daughter of the late Borden and Annie Steeves.

She will be sadly missed by her children Timmy (Alice), Brenda (Normand), Eric (Vicky), her eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren, four brothers, several nephews, nieces and friends.

Throughout her life, Phyllis was a very friendly and positive person who always had kind and caring words for family, friends and acquaintances.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt thank you to the doctors and staff at the Chaleur Regional Hospital for their professionalism in caring for Phyllis as well as the kindness and compassion shown to her family. We also want to thank the Dialysis Unit in Dalhousie for the excellent care she received there.

Alice Michaud

After a very short illness at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, January 2nd, Alice Michaud, beloved wife and life friend to Charles Boudreau, mother of Pierre (Laurie), Philippe (Anna) and Isabelle and grandmother of Nicole, Danielle, Katrina and Erik passed away.

Alice will also be missed by her siblings Louis, Therese, Blanche, Jeanne, Ghislaine, Marguerite, Claude and Michel as well as her in-laws Rachelle, Roy and Therese and their respective families.

She grew up in the small village of Matapedia, P.Q. in a large french canadian family.

Alice was a very active woman of many talents. She worked as an RN on and off for 30 years depending on where her husband moved her. She got a certificate in translation from McGill University in Montreal and was still translating from home in December. She enjoyed playing with words and even ended up as a freelance interpreter. Gimli became her home and she enjoyed living here. She made many friends who will miss her laughter and sharp tongue. This woman loved life in all it’s facets and those who got to know her will always have a warm feeling for the person that she was.

Beverly Carrier Boudreau

After a long and courageous battle surrounded by her loving family, Beverly Carrier Boudreau of Sunnyside passed away peacefully at the Palliative Care Unit of St. Joseph Hospital in Dalhousie Jan 19, 2014 at the age of 72.

Born in Quebec,she was the daughter of the late Edmond and Madeline (Doucet) Loubert.

She is survived by her daughters; Patsy Godin (Herbert) of Hawkesbury, ON., Rose Marie Chamberlain (Richard) of Cambridge, ON., Paulin Carrier (Dan Kaelin) of Thetford, ON., Peggy Carrier (Patrick Levesque) of Jacquet River; sons Terry (Terra) of Sunnyside, Sherman Carrier of Sunnyside, 13 grandchildren, 8 greatgrandchildren.

She was predeceased by her first husband Raymond Carrier, her second husband Florian Boudreau, son Clayton as well as her daughter Bernadette.

Emmaline Harvey

The death of Emmaline Harvey of Nash Creek occured January 25, 2014 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital at the age of 81.

Born in Nash Creek, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred Carrier and the late Emma (Hickey).

Emmaline is survived by her children; Linda Allard (Andre), Jimmy Harvey (Linda), Clayton Harvey (Brenda), Danny Harvey (Marlene), Glenda Hoyt (Bob), Jeffrey Harvey (Jeanne); brothers and sisters Eva LaPointe, Mabel Hickey, Christine Lavigne (Cleo), Martha Moreau (Ralph), June Furlotte (James), Kirk Carrier (Trena), Gabriel Carrier (Lorna), Eugene Carrier, Wayne Carrier (Bernadette), Steve Carrier (Jeannie), Claude Carrier (Bennita) as well as many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

She was predeceased by her husband Murray, sons Gene, Tim, Delbert, Bobby and brothers Jackie, Joseph and Francis.

Ethel Marion (Moores) McDavid

Ethel was born in Robinsonville in 1921, the eldest daughter of the late Henry and Eliza (Murray) Moores. After he marriage to Robie Byron McDavid (Bunny), she moved to Flatlands where she lived her married life. After the death of her husband, she relocated to Altona, Manitoba to be close to her family. She lived there 17 years returning to N.B. in 1996. She enjoyed being back home among her family and friends.

Ethel was predeceased by 8 brothers and her sister.

She is survived by her daughter, Sheila, son-in-law Isaac, granddaughter, Erica, her husband Paul and great granddaughters, Ashena and Shania, brother David, sister-in-law Shirley of Ottawa and sister-in-law Luella of Rothesay, also nieces and nephews.

In late 2003 her health detiorated and in February 2004 she entered the Village Nursing Home where she lived until her passing on December 24, 2013.

Gladys Cook

Gladys Cook (MacDonald) of Rockland ON., passed away on October 9, 2013 at the age of 71.

Beloved wife of the late Graeme Cook. Dear daughter of the late Edmond James MacDonald and the late Evelyne Boudreau. Loving mother of Alison (Cory Bauer), Christopher (Jordana Ruddy). Cherished grandmother of : Nolan and Madison. Dear Sister of : Roger (Blanche MacDonald) , Edward (Mary) and Joyce (Bernard Berube). She will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Predeceased by her brother Charlie (Mary).

Gladys was the embodiment of love and compassion. She gave much of her time to care for others. She found true joy in providing comfort an dcompanionship to the elderly and less fortunate. Gladys also shared a love of animals, openin her home to several 4 leged children.

She will be missed by countless friends and her loved ones who will keep her caring nature alive.

"To live in the hearts we leave behind is not to die".

Thomas Campbell

John Thibeault

Saturday, January 18th, 2014 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital, at the age of 60, passed away Mr. John Thibeault of Malauze and formerly of Jacket River. He was the son of the late Eva (Pelletier) and the late John Thibeault.

He will be sadly missed by his son Jason of Eel River Crossing, his grandson Jeryd of Eel River Crossing; his sisters: Theresa Lagacé of Bathurst and Muriel Gray of Beresford; his brothers: Marcel of Jacket River, Maxim of Shédiac and Raymond of Shédiac also by many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents and his sister Edna.

At the request of the family, there will be no funeral.

Leo Godin

The death of Leo Thomas Godin of Lorne occured at the Campbellton Regional Hospital Sunday, January 19, 2014 at the age of 88.

Born in Lorne, he was the son of the late Thomas & Effie (Furlong) Godin.

Leo is survived by his wife Antoinette, sons Randy (Cynthia) of Black Point, Gilles (Sharon) of Dalhousie, Richard (Kristann) of Lorne; daughters Suzanne Godin (Roger) of Fredericton, Cathy Godin (Jean Marie) of Petit Rocher, Rhoda Godin (Patrick Bourque) of London, ON.; 8 grandchildren, 7 greatgrandchildren as well as his sister Mathilda Chamberlain.

He was predeceased by his son Clinton; brothers Oswald and Delphis and sisters Opal Hickey, Ruby Chedore, Mildred Larson, Viola Mallaley and Ethel Gagnon.

Leo McIntyre

The death of Leo McIntyre of Dalhousie, husband of Eva (LeBlanc) McIntyre, occured at the Palliative Care Unit of St. Joseph Hospital, January 26, 2014 at the age of 78.

Born in Mountain Brook, he was the son of the late Louis & Lucie (Doucet) McIntyre.

Leo is survived by his wife Eva; daughter Darlene (Duguay Daniel) of Dalhousie; sons Garry (Lise) of Charlo and Larry (Dina) of Charlo; 5 grandchildren & 2 greatgrandchildren; brothers Albert & Jacques as well as his sisters Jean Drapeau, Marie Line Morin, Clairine Gendron, Linda Morin and Marie Carrier.

He was predeceased by his son Lloyd, sister Nellie and brothers Maurice, Gordon & John.
