Isabel Albert

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on April 3rd, 2017 at the age of 86, Mrs. Isabel Albert of Val d'Amour, wife of Lionel Albert. Born in Escuminac on December 31, 1930, to the late Robert and Lulu Williamson.

She is survived by her brother Ary Williamson of Escuminac and her sister Ruby Court of Escuminac, as well as nieces and nephews.

Paula Gallie

Paula Gallie of Glencoe passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on April 2nd, 2017 at the age of 72. Born in Miramichi on November 28th, 1944, she was the daughter of the late William McLean and the late Theresa (Walsh) McLean.

She worked as an RNA at the Soldiers Memorial Hospital and later retired as a Lab Tech Assistant from the Campbellton Regional Hospital. She was a Member of the St Anthony's Church Council, as well as a Girl Guide leader, enjoyed volunteering and helping others. She also was an avid Toronto Blues Jays Fan and Toronto Maple Leafs Fan.

Left with fond memories she is survived by her husband Kenneth Gallie; her daughter Patti (Doug) White of Flatlands; her son Steven Gallie of Fort Nelson BC; her grandchildren Jacob, Mackenzie and Calvin; sisters, Jeanne (Terry) Hamilton of Bedford NS; Eleanor Blacquier of Miramichi; brothers, Alman (Rita) McLean of Oromocto; Loran (Jessie) of Quispamsis; Richard (Shirley) McLean of Saint John and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her sister Joanne McLean and brother Joseph McLean.

Herman "Bud" MacDonald

Herman "Bud" MacDonald, 91, of the Veterans Health Centre, and formerly of Dieppe, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, April 4, 2017. Born in Plaster Rock, he was the son of the late Thomas and Mary (Ward) MacDonald.

Bud was a retired Machinist with New Brunswick International Paper Company (NBIP) with 40 years’ service. A Veteran of WWII, he served overseas with the Royal Canadian Navy aboard HMS Howe. Bud was a member of Campellton Lodge #32, F. & A.M., Sunny Brae Royal Canadian Legion Branch #54 and Visions United Church.

Bud will be sadly missed by his daughters, Sherrill Lee MacDonald, Rev. Muriel Gayle MacDonald and Mary Susan MacDonald, all of Dieppe; grandsons, Roderick William MacDonald Cardiff (Kristy) and Roger Eliot Cardiff (Bren), both of Toronto, ON and Jason M. Pelletier of Ottawa, ON; great granddaughter, Brooklyn Cardiff and two great grandsons, Mason and Finn Cardiff; brother, Harold MacDonald of Dartmouth, NS, as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family members. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Marguerite Ellen Joyce (Gilmour) (August 1997); son, Roderick MacDonald and several brothers and sisters.

In keeping with Bud’s wishes, there will be no visitation hours. A Masonic Service will be held on Friday, April 7, 2015 at 1:15 pm at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), followed immediately by Sunny Brae Legion Branch #54 Memorial Service.

Marilda Poirier

Wednesday, March 29th, 2017, at the Campbellton Regional Hospital at the age of 85, passed away Mrs. Marilda Poirier (Smith) of Dalhousie, Wife of the late Theodore Poirier (April 23, 1995) and the late Danny Smith (December 18, 2016). She was the daughter of the late Stella (nee Lavallee) and the late Fidele Maltais.

She will be sadly missed by her children: Robert Maltais (Mary Lou Smith) of Hamilton, ON. ,Stella Philippe (Gerard Philippe) of Point-à-la-Croix, Cellina "Nana" Levesque (Albert Levesque) of Ponoka, AB., Roger Poirier (Anita Poirier) of Dalhousie, Richard Poirier (Mary Jean Firlotte) of Jacket River and Therese Kenehan (Barry Kenehan) of Dunnville, ON.; her grandchildren : Jennifer, Erick, Chantal, Cynthia, Ronald, Natalie, Melanie, Ernest, Dianne, Mariette and Reno; her 22 Great grandchildren; her brother Joe; her sisters: Ida, Emilienne "Toune" and Therese also by many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was predeceased by her husband’s Theodore and Danny, her parents, her brothers: Ernest, Albert, Alphonse, Henri; Her sisters: Almina, Evangeline and Marie Anne.

Marilyn Olscamp

With much sadness the family of Marilyn Olscamp of Glen Levit, N.B. announces her passing on April 2, 2017 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital. She was born in Corner Brook, Newfoundland on June 29, 1955, the daughter of Rev. Vernon and Beth Smith.

She is dearly missed by her partner Michael O'connell; sister Eleanor (Michael Huck), Halifax; brother Jim (Claire Smith), Campbellton; sons Jamie (Heidi Peck) Olscamp, Calgary; Christopher Olscamp, Campbellton; David (Elysia Lethbridge) Olscamp, Sault Ste Marie; and grandson Benjamin Olscamp, Sault Ste Marie. Besides her father, she was predeceased by her late husband Danny Olscamp and sister Barbara (Phil Taylor), Winnipeg.

Marilyn was a strong women who persevered through many challenges during her lifetime. She enjoyed spending time gardening and boating on the Restigouche river. She was a kind friend to many and a wonderful mother to her three boys of whom she was so proud.

Viola Corriveau

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing, at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on Friday March 31st, 2017, at the age of 83, Mrs. Viola (Vi) Corriveau of Campbellton, Wife of Roland Corriveau.

Born on January 1st, 1934 in Saint-John, NB, she was the daughter of the late Victorin and of the late Helena (Levesque) Doucet. She was adopted by the late Lionel (Coon) and the late Emma (Arseneault) Roy.

Besides her husband, she leaves to mourn her daughters, Lynne (Marc) Corriveau-Savoie of Campbellton, Lise Corriveau of Kitimat in British Columbia; her sons, Robert (Florence) Corriveau of Grand-Falls, Gilles (Kelly) Corriveau of Campbellton, Claude (April) Corriveau of Campbellton and her daughter-in-law Diane (late Luc) Corriveau; her sisters, Rita (Eloi) Richard, Theresa MacKenney and Evelyn (late Herb) Young of Saint-John; her grandchildren, Réjean, Chantal, Mandy, Alexandre, Émilie, Michelle, Daniel, Emma, Alyssa, François, Gabrielle, and 2 great-grandchildren, Jade and Aiden. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sons Patrick, Donald, Luc and her sisters Leona (feu Ronald) Garvin and Helen Doucet.

Daniel Harvey

The death of Danny Harvey of Jacquet River occurred at Chaleur Regional Hospital Sunday, April 02, 2017 at the age of 59. Born in Nash Creek, he was the son of the late Murray and Emmaline (Carrier) Harvey.

Danny loved dogs and was an avid sportsman especially loved hockey and working out at the gym that he ran for so many years. He was an employee at Brunswick smelter for 37 years until his retirement in 2016.

He is survived by his wife Marlene (Donnelly) Harvey; daughters Mandy Harvey of Bathurst and Melissa Simone (Dino) of Bathurst; granddaughter Marley- Rae Simone as well as his brothers Jimmy (Linda), Clay (Brenda), Jeff (Jeanine) and sisters Linda (Andre) and Glenda. Danny was predeceased by his brothers Gene, Tim, Bert and Bobby.

Beatrice Hennigar Wilson

The family of the late Beatrice Hennigar Wilson are sad to announce her passing at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on March 29th at the age of 91.

She died peacefully and of natural causes, surrounded by family. Predeceased by her parents Louise Knowles Hennigar and John William Hennigar, daughters Eleanor Wilson and Sandra Black, and spouse Henry Wilson. She is survived by daughters, Linda (Lowell) Smith of Stewiacke, NS, Jean (Darrel) Douthright of Moncton, NB, Muriel (Milton) McDavid of Glen Levit, NB, Norma (Gilles) Poirier of Glen Levit, NB, son John (Nancy) Wilson of Guelph, ON as well as 10 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. This woman was loved and will be missed dearly.

Beulah E. Firth

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on March 18th, 2017 at the age of 93, Mrs. Beulah E. Firth of Dawsonville, wife of the late Raymond Firth. Born in Dawsonville on December 29, 1923, daughter of the late Charles A. Cooling and the late Beulah J.M. Noble.

Beulah worked as a teacher in Dawsonville prior to her marriage. She belonged to St. Paul's Anglican Church, Dawsonville, the Dawsonville Senior Citizen's Club, the Women's Institute, the Dawsonville Cemetery Committee, and the Anglican Women's Group and volunteered for many charitable organizations over the years.

Beulah was predeceased by her husband Raymond in 1999 and is survived by her children, Lynne (Jean) Boulay of McLeod's; Sons, Brian (Judy) of Glen Coe; Raymond of Campbellton; Bart, Allen (Kim) and Greg, all of Dawsonville. Her grandchildren, Norm (Cindy) of Holland Landing, Ontario; Melanie (Paul) of Calgary; Maureen (Antonello) of Edinburgh, Scotland; Brad (Anne) of Memramcook, N. B.; Patrick (Kari) of Vermilion, Alberta; Adam (Beckey) of Dawsonville, and Jocelyn (Jeremy) of Campbellton. Great Grandchildren, Vanessa (Norm); Leo & Olivia Esposito (Maureen); Claire & Emmitt (Patrick); (Christopher and Isabella (Adam); Jackson (Melanie); Brother, Allen Cooling; and Sister, Arlene Morrison both of Dawsonville. She was predeceased by one Granddaughter, Kimberly Ann (Brian and Judy); and seven brothers and sisters.

Pennie H. Barbour

Surrounded by her family, Pennie H. Barbour (Quigley) passed away April 12, 2017 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital at the age of 74. Pennie was born in Dalhousie June 24, 1942, a daughter of the late Patrick & Genevieve (Jenny O'Neil) Quigley. She leaves behind her loving husband of 54 years, Richard, her daughters Lori ( Harvey) of Edmonton, AB and Susan of Dalhousie, NB. Her grandchildren, Laura, Ashley, Sean, Chelsea and Riley and her great granddaughter Alivia: her sister Bonny (Collie) Nichol of Burlington, ON and brothers Andy (Claire) Quigley of Dalhousie, NB. and Michael (Gail) Quigley of Nackawic, NB. Pennie was predeceased by her brother Neil Quigley.

Pennie was always a force to be reckoned with in everything she endeavoured. Her interests and contributions, are far to many to detail. The organization closest to her heart were the Canadian Cancer Society- NB Branch, Chaleur Echoes, Harmony Inc., and the Restigouche Genealogy Society.

Spending time with her family and friends "Trumped all". "Ten Pennie" enjoyed nothing more than a good laugh and party!

Louis Furlotte

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Louis Furlotte of Archibald which occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on March 19, 2017 at the age of 77. Born in Lorne Oct. 23, 1939, he was the son of the late Alexander and Violet (Carrier) Furlotte.

Louis was a sheet metal worker in Ontario until his retirement on a farm in Archibald to enjoy the quiet life. He was happiest when he had a fishing rod in his hands. Louis also enjoyed hunting, gardening, listening to music, playing his guitar and was a keen and competitive card player (cribbage and auction 45). He was a long life animal lover, especially cats and dogs.

Left to mourn are his two daughters JoAnn Van Elst of Ajax Ont. and Molly Furlotte of Pickering, Ont.; mother of his daughters and life long friend Carol Anne Furlotte of Pickering, Ont.; three grandchildren Tyler Van Elst, Rachael Van Elst-Dancy and Cody Maine. He is also survived by his brothers Joey Furlotte (Lorne), Eldon Furlotte (Lorne) as well as his sisters Vivian Kelehar (Bathurst), Beulah Bratle (San De Fjord, Norway) and Valerie Firlotte (Brent) of Dalhousie Junction as well as many cousins and cherished nephews and nieces. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers Alexander Jr.,Donald, Justin, Herman, Ronald, Valmond and his sisters Mathilda Godin and Eileen Fleury.

Johnny Thomas

We are very sadden to announce the death of Johnny Thomas at the age of 51 which occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on April 2 with his sisters and girlfriend by his side. Son of the Late James F. Thomas and Gladys (Main) Thomas

Survived by girlfriend Sally Thomas of Robinsonville, son Neil Thomas of Robinsonville, sister Betty (Sheldon) Marshall of Upsalquitch, Sister Kathy (Shane) Mann of Upsalquitch, Brother Phillip(May) Welch of Orangeville, Ontario; many nieces and nephews. Beside his parents, he was predeceased by Brother Don (Maureen) Thomas and Billy Thomas.

Johnny worked for MillBrooke Fishing Lodge for over 24 years as a fishing guide and took so much pride into his job. He also was a volunteer fireman for the Robinsonville/Upsalquitch Fire Department until he resign because of health issues.

Bertha Vautour

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on April 16,2017 at the age of 92, Mrs Bertha Vautour of Dalhousie, Wife of the late Nazaire Vautour. Born in Grand Rivière, PQ on April 10th, 1925. She was the daughter of the late Edward Flynn and Clementine Aubut.

She is survived by her children: Gerald Vautour (late Tina) of Dalhousie, Robert Vautour (Isabel) of Campbellton, Rheal Vautour of Dalhousie, Albert Vautour (Georgina) of Point LaNim, Rachelle Vautour of Dalhousie, Donald Vautour (Denise) of Dalhousie, Irene Eddy (Lorin) of Dalhousie and grandchildren: Roger, Shelly, Frank, Bobby, Mark, Kelly Ann, Jamie, Krista Lee, Kristofer, Matthew, Nigel, Caitlin, also great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her sisters: Kathleen Durette (late Marcel), Loretta Landry (late Felicien) ,brother William Flynn (Betty) of Toronto, sister in law Rejeanne Flynn of Dalhousie. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a daughter Jeannette (Doug) Targett of Dalhousie Junction, a sister Irene Girard (Jean Louis) of Montreal, and a brother Edmond Flynn.

François Savoie

On Tuesday April 11th, 2017 at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital Center of Moncton, on the day of his 35th birthday, has passed away François Savoie, son of Charles Savoie and Céline (Roussel) Savoie from Atholville.

Beside his parents, François leaves to mourn a brother Mathieu (Erica Langdo) from Edmundston; his paternal grandparents Georges & Anne-Marie Savoie from Atholville; several uncles, aunts, cousins & many friends. He also leaves to mourn his godparents Robert and Pierrette Savoie from Atholville.

He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Zéphirin and Marie-Reine Roussel of Campbellton.

Diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, François lived his life to the fullest and his good humor and laughter were contagious. He was an avid fan of the Montreal Canadians; he loved sports and muscle cars. He was loved by all who came to know him.

Blondine Pelletier

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on April 11, 2017 at the age of 85, Mrs. Blondine (LeBlanc) Pelletier of Dundee, formerly of Balmoral.

She leaves to mourn her husband Gérald Pelletier, her children: Aline McIntyre (Raymond), Georges (Paulette), Laurent(Yvette), Irène Landry (Roland), Anita McIntyre (Denis), Carolle (Gilles), Pierrette Paquet (François), her grandchildren, great–grandchildren and great–great–grandchildren; her brothers and sisters, late Edgar Leblanc (Catherine), late Dora Savoie (late Adrien), late Odina Leblanc (Clarisse), late Patricia Pelletier (Norbert), late Lauréat Leblanc (late Marie Anne), late Robert Leblanc (Doreen), Léon Leblanc (Noëlla), Eva Leblanc (Lam), Carmelle Lepage (Gérald), Albéni Leblanc (Marcella), as well as many nephews, nieces and friends.

She was predeceased by her grandson Rémi.
