Alfreda Chiasson (Hache)

At the Palliative Care Unit in Dalhousie Mrs. Alfreda Chiasson (Hache) of Dalhousie passed away on January 27, 2013 at the age of 99. She was the wife of the late Albani Chiasson.

She will be missed by her children Raymond (Rose-Marie), Raynald (Madeleine) Albani Jr. (Juliette), Raymonde Mazerolle, Gilberte, Yvon (Yvette) and Rose Marie, her grandchildren Lise, Carmel, Monique, Gerand, Josee, Daniel, Denise, Roger, Andre, Nancy, Guy, Sylvie, Michele and Eric, 15 great-grandchildren and one brother Camillien Hache.

Predeceased by her son Gerard (1940)

Amon McKinnon

Thursday January 3, 2013 at the St Joseph Residence in Maria at the age of 73 passed away Mr. Amon McKinnon of Escuminac, husband of Mrs. Sheila McKinnon. He was the son of the late Helen Young and the late Amon McKinnon.

He will be sadly missed by his wife Sheila of Escuminac; his brother and sisters; Faye (Carl MacNair) of Charlo, Gale (Veronica) of Val d'Amour, Charlotte (Howard Scott) of Pointe la Nim and Elaine (Jack Targett) of Riverview also by many nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, four sisters and two brothers.

Lola Thibodeau

Passed away at the Campbellton Village Nursing Home on January 23, 2013 at the age of 100 years and six months. Mrs. Lola Thibodeau, spouse of the late Edgar Thibodeau.

She was the daughter of the late Albert Lashway and the late Marguerite Villeneuve.

She is survived by seven daughters and three sons Annette (Donald Savoie) Theresa Renault, Alma, Lorraine, Dale (Normand Savoie) Pierrette (Jack Crowley) and Georgette (Randy Spencer), Ronald (Madeleine Bujold) , Albert (Belinda Beshara) and George (Judith Doucet). She was predeceased by a daughter Jean and a son Raymond (Beatrice Audet). She also leaves to mourn 35 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren and one daughter-in-law Beatrice Audet.

Pallbearers were her grandsons Denis and Yvon Renault, Bernard and Kevin Crowley, Peter Brander and Marc Savoie.

George Allan McGovern

It is with great sadness and sorrow that we announce the passing of George Allan McGovern (Formerly of McLeods) which occurred on January 19, 2013 at the age of 67.

Born in Campbellton July 31, 1945 he was the son of the late John McGovern and the late Eva Pitre.

Allan is survived by his wife Carol (Lagare) McGovern, one daughter Patricia (Ara Bagdad) and one grandson David of Laval Quebec. Three sisters Kay Briand (Beresford), Fay Allard (Dalhousie), Betty MacNeish (Tide Head), one brother Jackie of McLeod's.

In addition to his parents Allan was predeceased by brother Ken and sister Rhea (Coutange).

Gerard "Jerry" Marcoux

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gerard "Jerry" Marcoux at the age of 61, of Charlo which occurred suddenly at Campbellton Regional Hospital, January 24, 2013. He was the son of the late Edward and Flora Marcoux of Charlo.

Survived by brothers Bill Marcoux of Charlo, Gilbert Marcoux (Katherine) of New Mills, sisters Cecile DeGrace (Charles) of Campbellton, Rita Talbot (Arthur, deceased) of Hamilton, ON, Simonne Allard (Marcel) of Burlington, ON, dear companion of Shira Callahan of Charlo. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, one uncle Reil Marcoux of Toronto, and several cousins.

Jerry was a heavy equipment mechanic. He was employed by Irving Equipment for a period of 25 years. He was an avid member of the NBAAC (New Brunswick Antique Automobile Club). of course we all know Jerry was a Ford Man.

Eileen (Parker) Joncas

Passed away at the Valleyfield Hospital on January 21, 2013, Eileen (Parker) Joncas.

Survived by her husband Alphonse Joncas of Riguad Quebec, formerly of Eel River Crossing, son David, grandchildren, Charles Andre and Rebecca, also her sisters Marjorie Joan (Toronto) Argine (Niagara Falls), Jean (Dalhousie) and brother Bernie Parker (Eel River Crossing).

Simone Cormier

Passed away at the Campbellton Nursing Home on January 22, 2013 at the age of 87, Mrs. Simone Cormier of Campbellton.

She leaves to mourn her sons Aurele Cormier (Evelyn) of Oromocto, Luc Cormier (Maris) of Moncton and Jean Cormier (Kathy) of Campbellton. Also survived by her grandchildren Lise, Lynn, Robin, Renee, Sara, Kevin and Nicole.

Predeceased by her husband Edmond, her daughter Eliane, her brother Joseph, her father Robert Jansens and mother Amelie Hannay.
