Honey MacNaughton–Delaney

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on April 12th, 2017 at the age of 88, Mrs. Honey MacNaughton–Delaney of Matapedia, wife of the late Earl Delaney. Born in Matapedia on December 20, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Lee and Hazel MacNaughton.

She leaves her daughters; Hazel (Brian), Irene (Jimmy), Dorothy (Robbie), Maggie (Don), Mary (Ross), Linda (Corey), Ida, Heather (Wayne), Rose, Susan (George), Opal (Andre) and Frances; her sons; Billy (Doreen) and Morris (Monique). She also leaves her grandchildren; Lori, Kerry, Jenny, Danny, Anne, Robert, John, Amanda, Richard, Larry, Samantha, Earl, Morris, Lee, William, Morgan, Dallas, Michael, Jessica, Joanne, Curtis, Kristal, Sarah and Brandon.

She was predeceased by her loving grandson Austin.

A funeral service was held at Maher’s Funeral Chapel, 64 Lansdowne St., Campbellton, Wednesday at 2:00 pm.

In memory of Honey, a donation can be made to the Matapedia Protestant Cemetery.

Mary Elizabeth LaPointe

Passed away at the Dalhousie Nursing Home on May 1st, 2017 at the age of 90, Mrs. Elizabeth "Betty" LaPointe of Dalhousie, wife of Eugene LaPointe. Born in Jacquet River on March 17, 1927, she was the daughter of Hector and Lucy Guitard.

Besides her husband Eugene, she leaves behind 4 children, Marsha, Linda, Barry, Donna, 7 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son Clarence.

Edith Thompson

Passed away peacefully in her 98th year at the CHSLD St-Andrews, in the presence of her loving family and caregivers.

Eldest daughter of Hilmar (Harry) Olsen and Martha Noble (Tide Head, NB). She was predeceased by sisters Doris Robertson (Montreal) and Esther Allanach (Campbellton, NB). Loving wife of the late William (Bill) Thompson. Loving and beloved mother of Ingrid Thompson; cherished grandmother of Sonja Cooper and of great-grandson Ryan Cooper (Melissa). Loving aunt to Paul Allanach (Gillian) (Amherst, NS), Marta Robertson (Ingleside, ON), Vincent Robertson (Portland, OR), Betty Parker (Campbellton, NB) and Denise Arsenault (Tide Head, NB); loving great-aunt to Erica Allanach (Halifax), Elysa Fauteux (Ingleside, ON), Angela Fauteux (London, UK), Jessica Robertson and Madeline Robertson (Portland, OR). She will be missed by former son-in-law Paul Cooper (Boynton Beach, FL). She also leaves Odd Rebnord (Norway) and other numerous cousins in New Brunswick and other parts of Canada. The family is very grateful to the staff of St-Andrews whose exceptional care made the last five years of Edith's life so fulfilling. Lillian Mallaley

The death of Lillian Mallaley of Lorne occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital Monday, May 01, 2017 at the age of 86. Born in Belledune, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Lucy Jane (Hickey) Dempsey.

Lillian is survived by her children; Lucy Mallaley (John) of Jacquet River, Susan Mallaley of Dalhousie, Gary (Dola) of Lorne, Eugene of Lorne, Marc (Charlene) of Lorne, Martin of Dalhousie, Michael of Lorne, Carol-Ann Mallaley (Gerald) of Lorne, Dawn Mallaley (Lance) of Lorne, Laurie Mallaley (Danny) of Dalhousie, Rhonda Mallaley (Mike) of Dalhousie Jct., Keith of Lorne; 22 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild as well as her sister Mildred and brother Gerald. She was predeceased by her husband Ralph; sons Ralph Jr. and Christopher; sisters Violet, Irene, Rosella, Pina, Mabel and brothers Bobby and Percy.

Arthur Fox

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Arthur Fox of Dalhousie who passed away at the Dalhousie Nursing Home Sunday, April 30, 2017 at the age of 84. Born in Bedford, NS. he was the son of the late Douglas and Jessie (Lewis) Fox.

Art or as his family say "The best dad ever" is survived by his sons Kevin (Natalie) of Dalhousie, Justin (Carol) of Truro; daughters Kim Duivenvoorden of Charlo, Wendy Buckle (Dave Verner) of Oromocto as well as his five grandchildren.

Rose Bois

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on May 3rd, 2017 at the age of 93, Mrs. Rose Bois of Campbellton, wife of the late Louis Bois.

She leaves to mourn her husband, late Louis Bois and her three children; Raymonde (Ramuald Maltais) and Jean–Guy, Clément (Alice).

Joseph Vincent (Léo) Doucet

Joseph Vincent (Léo) Doucet, of Fredericton, passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital in Red Deer, AB on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at the age of 90. Born in Dalhousie, NB on May 24, 1926, he was the son of the late John and Eva (Arsenault) Doucet.

Leo is survived by his wife of 70 years, Margaret Opal (Doucette); children, Lea–Anne (Robert), Barbara, Jeanette (Robert) and Daniel (Christine); 18 grandchildren; 27 great–grandchildren; 3 great–great–grandchildren; his sister, Aileen Allard; brother, Albert Doucet and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by one son, Terrance "Terry" Doucet and grandson, Troy Duermeyer.

He joined the Armed Forces in 1944 as a Boy Soldier, and later transferred to the Royal Canadian Engineers. During his career, he was stationed in Fredericton; Germany; Chilliwack, BC; Quebec, QC; Whitehorse, YK and London, ON. Upon retirement, Leo was the Secretary of the Public Service Labour Relations Board with the Provincial Government. Leo had many interests: photography, ham radio, horses, model airplanes, science and technology, family genealogy, jewellery making, tropical fish, flower gardening, reading and writing. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion. Leo was a loving and generous husband, father, grandfather, great–grandfather and friend to all.

Rita Oakes

The death of Rita Oakes of Dalhousie occurred Monday, May 8th, 2017 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital. Born in Dalhousie, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Yvonne (Larocque) Chiasson.

Rita is survived by her children Roger (Sandra) of Lorneville, Susan Oakes of Dalhousie, Darren (Tammy) of Dalhousie, Katie LeClair (Derek) of Quispamsis, seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, as well as her siblings Anna Cormier, Pete Chiasson, Jeannette Cormier, Yvon Chiasson, and Theresa Bernatchez. She was predeceased by her husband Walter and son Denis.

Justine Montefrisco

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on May 6th, 2017 at the age of 94, Mrs. Justine Montefrisco of Campbellton, wife of the late John Montefrisco. Born in Saint–Charles de Caplan on September 3rd, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Arseneault and Marie Bujold. She was the last member of the Thomas Arseneault Family.

She is survived by her three children, Blanche (Roger McDonald) of Athabasca AB, Henry (Rhoda Bourque) of Riverview NB and Albert (Clarisse Lagacé) of Campbellton NB. Eleven grandchildren, Brian McDonald, Mary Lynn McDonald, Mary Ann McDonald, Joanne Montefrisco Hallden, Carey Montefrisco Smith, Tracy Montefrisco Richard, Shelley Delaney, Jason Montefrisco, Leeanne Montefrisco, Michele Montefrisco, Roger Montefrisco, and 26 great–grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.

Everett Savoie

The death of Everett Savoie of Dalhousie occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital, Tuesday, May 9th, 2017 at the age of 89. Born in Dalhousie, he was the son of the late Belonie and Ida May (Winchester) Savoie.

Everett was employed at the NBIP Mill for 44 years and was a fireman at the mill for 25 of those years, until his retirement. He loved walking and cherished his time in the garage with his buddies.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years Jeanne (LeClair), his children Gary of Dalhousie, Carl (Lucie) of Mountain Brook, Susan Coulombe (Ricky) of Dalhousie, Janet Hachey (Brian) of Dalhousie, James of Dalhousie, David (Brandie) of Edmonton, as well as his nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and siblings Wendell Savoie, Theresa Barbour, Secunda Beaulieu and Winnie Myles. He was predeceased by his granddaughter Lynn Savoie and brother Carl.

Raymond Aube

The death of Raymond Aube of Gravelhill occurred Tuesday, May 02, 2017 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital at the age of 76. Born in Belledune, he was the son of the late Rosario and Mathilda (Charest) Aube.

Raymond is survived by the mother of his 6 children Margaret Corrier; his children Paul of Bathurst, Linda of Fredericton, Alan (Marilyn) of Fredericton, Susan of Gravelhill, Trina of Listigouche, Aron (Jeannie) of Gravel Hill; 9 grandchildren as well as his brothers Clifford, Clarence and Ed and sisters Cathy and Jeanette. He was predeceased by his brothers Emery, Valmont and Yvon.

Murdock Cameron Mann

Murdock Cameron Mann: It is with great sadness, the family of Murdock Mann announces his passing, at his home on May 11, 2017 with the love of his life by his side. Survived by his wife of 51 years, Joan, his son Terry (Michelle), his daughter Debbie (Scott), grandchildren Danielle & Coulton Mann, MacKenzie, Brooke & Kyle Brum and Blake & Cooper Russell and his brothers Jack, Mac and Kirk. His life was defined by the love of his family and the way he gave back to the community he was born, raised and lived in. Murdock's life, as it was lived, and his accomplishments were his eulogy. There are no words to describe this Mann. We love you.

Henry (Duke) Gene Aubie

Henry (Duke) Gene Aubie, beloved husband of Gilberte, his wife of 52 years, passed peacefully on May 9th 2017 in Moncton NB at the age of 75 surrounded by his loved ones.

Henry will be sadly missed by his children: Doreen Verkley (Phil), Emily Tait (Troy), Duke Aubie (Jennifer), April Binder (Kirk) and Dean Aubie; his grandchildren: Sarah, Samantha, Cody, Kiana, Penny, Aidan and Kennedy and his great grandchildren: Hunter, Arabellah and Deacon. Henry was predeceased by siblings, Oscar Miller (Mavas), Marion Kelly (Fred) and Lisa Richardson (Burl).

Henry was born in Campbellton, NB April 16th 1942, and lived most of his life there, the place he loved. He was baptised at the Anglican Church of Canada, was a career Ironworker (Local 842) and lived a full life as father, grandfather and great grandfather. Henry will be sadly missed by his many family and friends.

The family would also like to thank the many doctors and nurses for their great service.

Opal (Judy) McKiel

Opal (Judy) McKiel 76, of Riverview, New Brunswick (formerly Tide Head, N.B.) passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Sunday, May 7, 2017. Beloved wife of the late Bruce McKiel (2015).

Judy will be sadly missed by her sons Michael (Cindy), Brampton, ON and Rodney (Janet), Riverview, NB and her cherished grandchildren, Melissa, Steven, Andrew and Branden. Judy is survived by her sister Jean Dimock and brother David Cooper. Predeceased by her brother's Jack and Glen.

Judy always encouraged an open house and loved when friends and family would drop in for a visit. A special thank you to the staff at Lakeview Manor (Riverview) and The Village (Campbellton) nursing homes for their compassionate care.

Thérèse Boudreau

At the Campbellton Regional Hospital on Saturday, May 20th, 2017 at the age of 88, has passed away Mrs. Thérèse Boudreau of Campbellton, wife of the late Réginald Boudreau. Born in Balmoral, she was the daughter of the late Christianne (born Landry) and the late Louis Laliberté.

She will be sadly missed by her children: Huguette (Gilles Gallant) of Point La Nim, Patrick of Campbellton, and Robert (Sue Nason) of Saint John, NB; her grandchildren: Elizabeth & Louise; great grandchildren: Collin & Carissa also by many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was predeceased by her husband Réginald, her parents, her sisters: Alma, Esther, Marie, Blanche, Alice, Obéline & Fernande.

Gail Neilson

"Dragon Lady/Silver Fox"

Surrounded by her family after a brief, but courageous battle with Cancer, Gail Neilson entered into rest at the Fredericton Hospice on Thursday May 18th, 2017 at the age of 76 years. Beloved wife of Ian Neilson. Loving mother of Randy Neilson and his wife Marjorie as well as Shelley Laviolette and her husband Shayne. Cherished grandmother of Alysha and Jessica Laviolette. Sister of Ronald Keirstead and his wife Ruth.

She was predeceased by her parents, Wesley and Greta Kierstead of Atholville, NB.

Gail raised her family in Campbellton, NB where they were active skiers at Sugarloaf Park. She was employed at the Soldiers Memorial hospital and later moved to Saint John. She enjoyed her later years in the Village of Gagetown.

At the age of 50, Gail starting riding a motorcycle and travelled around North America on her Harley Davidson.

In 2015 she received her Silver life award signifying her 25 year membership of Motor Maids Inc. Motorcycle Club.
