Gordon Regan

Peacefully after a brief illness, at the Kingston General Hospital, on January 23, 2013 in his 88th year.

Beloved husband for 54 years of the late Shirley Regan (2006). Loving father of Gary (Francine), Brian (Lianne), Jim (Sally), Dan (Joan), Mary (Randy) and Gord (Laura). Cherished by his grandchildren; Michelle, Rob, Steven, Michael, Jennifer, Jim, Kelly, Kimberley, and Nick. Dear brother of Frances (late Murray) Harding, Mildred (Pat) Walsh, Theresa (Lloyd) Parent, Irene (Hank) Vandenberg, Michel (Anita) and predeceased by William (Mary Paul), Marion (Thurston) March, Eleanor (Jack) Tyni and Bernice Regan. Fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews.

Linda Pollock

Linda Gail Pollock, 71 years old, passed away suddenly at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on February 1, 2013.

Mary Marlene Narvie

Passed away at the Palliative care unit in Dalhousie on January 30, 2013 at the age of 54, Mrs. Marlene Narvie of Eel River Bar, wife of Clarence Narvie.

She was the daughter of Mrs. Maria Murray and the late John Murray.

She is survived by her mother Mrs. Maria Murray, hewr husband of 36 wonderful years Clarence Narvie, son Jeremy (Natasha) daughter Kayla (Stephane) brother Michael Murray (Carol) anbd her grandchildren Savannah, Marshall, Wakiza and Brandon. Also several aunts , uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Robert Lagace

Tuesday, February 5th, 2013 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital, at the age of 82, passed away Mr. Robert Lagace of Atholville, husband of Jacqueline (Poirier) Lagace. He was the son of the late Lucie (Audet) and the late Pierre Lagace.

Beside his wife he will be sadly missed by his children: Rejean (Helene Paquet) of Dieppe, Pierrette (Robert ‘Baba’ Savoie) of Atholville, Jacques (Jocelyne Doucet) of Atholville, Françoise (Duane Woods) of Campbellton and Celine (Normand Poirier) of Cross Point; his 13 grandchildren ; 7 great-grandchildren; his brothers: Germain (Fernande) of Rang Lagace, Rheal (Majorica) of Rang Lagace, Raymond (Gisele) of Matapedia and Armand (Suzanne) of Matapedia also by many nieces, nephews, friends and members of the Poirier family.

He was predeceased by his parents and his brothers: Leon, Paul-Emile and Maurice.

Nolan Hickey

The death of Nolan Hickey of Campbellton and formerly of Lorne occured at his residence in Campbellton Wednesday Jan.30,2013 at the age of 47.Born in Lorne,he was the son of the late Norman & Rita (Godin) Hickey.

Nolan is survived by his son Kevin; sisters Della Estey (Eddie) of Durham Bridge,Ellen Hickey (Robbin Daley) of Bathurst; brothers Weldon of Harvey Station & Chester (Michele) of Fredericton.He was predeceased by his parents and grandmother Mama Ellie Godin.

Albert Robichaud

It is with great sorrow that we wish to inform you of the death of Mr. Albert Robichaud on February 3, 2013, at the age 88 following a short illness, at the Veterans Unit of the Campbellton Regional Hospital, surrounded by his family.

Beloved husband and devoted father, Albert leaves behind his wife of more than sixty years, Thérèse (nee Downing), his daughter Ginette (Gary White, deceased.) and his son Réjean (Sarah Dedam). Predeceased by his daughter Monique (Luc Frenette), his parents (Urbain and Mélanie), brothers Alyre (Elaine), Adelard (Alphonsine), Arthur (Thelma), Alfred (Lilianne) and sisters Doris (Frank Sutherland) and Sister Thérèse (Filles de Jésus). Albert is survived by two sisters Delia (Normand Fairbairn from Sarnia, Ont.), and Dorina (Lionel Poirier) and a brother Paul (Barbara).

Albert was a loving grandfather to his six grandchildren Mylène (Paul Bossé) and Chantal White (Clint Bruce), Samuel (Diana Dubreuil) and Dominique Frenette (Amélie Caron) and Curtis and Jonathan Robichaud, and his four great granddaughters Élise and Justine Bossé and the twins Daphnée and Noémie Frenette. Albert lived his entire life in Dalhousie where he worked for NBIP for over forty years. Like his father before him, he was a talented carpenter who built a few houses, including his own, and even a schooner in the 1950s and a trimaran with his brother in the 1970s. He was a regular at the Récréaplex where he enjoyed swimming with his buddies. A generous, affable, and cheerful man, Albert was well-loved by his community and will be sorely missed and lovingly remembered by all those who knew him.

Douglas Joseph Legacy

Douglas Legacy, loving husband of Lena (Page) passed away on January 28, 2013, at the Campbellton Regional Hospital at the age of 92. Douglas was the son of the late Harry and Ida Legacy of Richardville.

Douglas had been retired for the last 27 years. He worked at Harquail's Factory and R. R. McKenzies for many years before becoming a Fire Truck Driver. He loved his golf, he was a member of the Restigouche Golf and Country Club for 30 years and in that time he received awards for shootin 3 Hole-In-One's, he also bowled til he was 88.

Douglas was also a member of the Knights of Columbus for many years. Doug and his wife Lena left their family home 2 yars ago and moved into Wisdom Manor on George Street in Campbellton where they spent their last couple of years together.

Douglas is survived by his wife Lena of 69 1/2 years., his son John (Pauline) Legacy of Tide Head, and his daughter Anne-Marie (Gary) Shewan of Brockville, ONt., Douglas also leaves behind three grandchildren Kelly-Anne (Bill) Renshaw of Brockville, Ont., Katina (Scott) Legacy of Dieppe and Gino (Jennifer) Legacy of Dieppe, seven great grandchildren Riley, Amanda, Caleb, Madison, Hailey, Carter and Aly, five brothers William (Geneva), Bennett (Stella), Leonard (Andrea), Ernest (Yvelle) and Edward (Geraldine), a sister Theresa, many nieces and nephews.

Douglas is predeceased by his mother and father Harry and Ida Legacy of Richardsille, his brothers George, Henry, Adelard and one sister Jeannine.

Reginald Frenette

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Reginald Frenette on Sunday January 27, 2013 at the Palliative Care Unit in Dalhousie at the age of 78.

He was the son of the late Edgar Frenette and Alice Leclerc. Predeceaswed by his wife Marie Ann Maltais and brother Wilbrod.

He will be sadly missed by his six children Susan (Wilfred), Gary (Charlene) , Lisa, Ian (Kim), Mark and Shawn, his seven grand children Jeny, Melodie, Ashley, Tyler, Gillian, Cassidy and Bailey and five siblings Germain, Doris, Lydia, Florence and Isabelle.

Mona Carrier

The death of Mona Carrier of Lorne occurred at her home on January 27, 2013 at the age of 76. Born in Lorne, she was the daughter of the late John and Gertrude (Mallaley) Carrier.

Mona is survived by her sons Louis (Nancy) of Lorne, Lionel (Cindy) of Lorne, 12 grand and 24 great grandchildren as well as her brother Leon and sisters Eva Lavigne and Shirley O'Brien.

She was predeceased by her husband Louis, longtime partner Donald Hennigar, son John, brothers Howard, Stewart, Preston, Raymond and sisters Ernestine and Carmella.
