Rita Fournier-Bain (nee Gignac)

Died on 27 January 2014, in her 84th year, following a heart attack while on holiday in Fort Lauderdale.

She is survived by her husband William Bain. Mother of Lise Fournier Ausman and Monique Fournier-Redding; stepmother of Allison Haskins and James Bain. Grandmother of Christine and Paul Ausman, Talisa and Eric Haskins, and Bryn and Kaie Bain.

Predeceased by her husbands Edgar Fournier and Reynold McBrearty (of Campbellton NB) and her stepson Thomas McBrearty.

She led a full life and travelled the world. She will always be remembered for her generosity, kindness and insatiable curiosity about life. In 1964, she became the first female manager of Crescent Finance Co. (Avco) in Canada at their Dalhousie NB branch. In 1980 she accepted an Ottawa executive position with the RCMP then transferred to CSIS. She retired in 1992 and enjoyed many years of happy retirement.

Aleta Mae Firth

The death of Aleta "Mae" Firth occurred on February 2, 2014 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital at the age of 93.

Mae was born in Robinsonville on April 8, 1920 and was the daughter of the late Russel Murray and Margaret MacNaughton.

Left to mourn is her only son Russel (Irene) of Robinsonville two grandsons Dwayne (Kerry) of Shediac and Darrin of Oromocto, four reat randchildren Molly Mae, Shawn, Alexander, Jacob, one remaining sister Sarah Mann of Tide Head, also many nieces, nephews and friends.

Mae was predeceased by her loving husband Alvin and two infant children Murray and Arlene, one brother James Murray of Robinsonville and one sister Edith Murray also of Robinsonville.

Mae was a\ quiet friend to ll, she loved visits from everyone. She was an active member of the St. andrews church in Robinsonville, enjoyed watching birds and her reatest joy of all was her grandsons and great grandchildren.

Alinda Annie White nee Doucet

It is with great sadness that we announce the passin of Alinda White born May 29 1932 in Campbellton and who died February 6, 2014 at the Hamilton General Hospital in her 82nd year. Loving daughter of the late Arthur and Opal (Flowers) Doucet.

Beloved wife of the late John White. Loving mother of Bonnie Beliveau (Terrance) Of Hamilton, and Donald Hayward (Cindy) of Middleton, NS. Dear grandmother of nice grandchildrenand nine great grandchildren. Survived by several nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her sisters Marion Mueller and audrey Galivan.

Alinda was a member of the RCL Branch #163.

Barry LaPointe

The death of Barry (Tudor) LaPointe of New Mills occured at the St. John Regional Hospital Wednesday, February 05, 2014 at the age of 50. Born in New Mills, he was the son of Cora and the late Lazore LaPointe.

Barry was a lifelong lobster fisherman and was happiest when on the water behind the island and with his wife Lisa, son Kyle and joking with his brothers, sister and many friends.

Barry is survived by his wife Lisa, son Kyle, mother Cora, sister Karen and brothers Wade, Wayne, Michael, Blair, Jarvis and Carl.

John Kierstead

At the Campbellton Regional Hospital on February 6, 2014, John Kierstead of Campbellton, in his 96th year.

As a lifelong resident of Campbellton Johnny was a devoted husband and father raising his three children, Terry, Nancy and Ricky, with his wife Wanda.

He "rode the rails" between New Brunswick and Quebec as a CNR engineer from 1942 to 1979 and saw chanbges from coal fired engines to diesel.

Johnny enjoyed music, travellin and outdoor sports. For 32 years, Johnny was an enthusiastic participant of the Terry Fox Run. He especially loved visits from family and friends, a comfortable ride in a good car, and a "hot cup of tea".

Later in life nothing gave Johnny more pleasure than watching his grandchildren and great grandchildren row.

After his wife passed away, Johnny was blessed with the care and friendship of Barb Snow and her family to hilp him in his twilight years.

Johnny is survived by his daughter Nancy (Kevin) MacIsaac, of Bear River PEI, and a daughter-in-law Brenda Kierstead (Jay Casey) of Campbellton . Grandfather of Erica MacDonald (Norman), Ryan MacIsaac (BethEllen), Sarah MacIsaac (Pat), Megan MacIsaac( Travis), Brian Kierstead (Debbie), Laura Steeves (Ryan), and David Kierstead (Nathalie). Also survived by five great grandchildren and a sister, Joyce Bullied, Peterborough, Ont.

Predeceased by his wife, Wanda, sons Terry and Ricky and a sister Dorothy.
