Armand LeCouffe Jr.

The death of Armand LeCouffe Jr. occurred on February 12, 2014 at the Dalhousie Nursing Home at the ae of 87. He was the son of the late Armand LeCouffe Sr. and Blanche Lavigne.

He is survived by his wife Kathleen Latulippe, his children Christine (Doug) Peterson, Bruno (Sandra) LeCouffe, Bernard (Sharon) LeCouffe and Patricia (John) LeCouffe, nine grandchildren, seven great Grandchildren and sister Celina Knox (Henry) Of Arizona.

Armand worked most of his life for Social Services as an administrator, was on the board of the Dalhousie Nursing Home, served as president of the local Golden Age Club. He served a\s president of the Provincial Federation of Senior Citizens, was a school board superintendent in the mid-60's and recipient of the Paul Harris Award (Rotary).

Most of all it was his family, especially Kathleen, his love of dancing and gardening that made up his life. He will be greatly missed.

At this time the family would like to thank staff at the Dalhousie Nursing Home for making Armand's life comfortable these past two years.

Jean Dugas

At the Campbellton Regional Hospital on Tuesday, February 11th, 2014, at the age of 86, passed away Mr. Jean Dugas of Campbellton and formally of Dalhousie, husband of Mabel (Hynes). He was the son of the late Emilia (Arseneault) and the late Albert Dugas.

He will be sadly missed by his wife Mabel, his children: Rita (late Greg Gillis) of Brampton, Richard (Linda) of Brampton, Ronald (Marguerite) of Campbellton and Karen (Laurie Cyr) of Cross Point; 4 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchildren; his sisters: Therese (Cyrus Arseneault) of Balmoral, Adelina Bridges of Balmoral and Jeanne LeBlanc of Campbellton also by many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents and his brothers and sister: Lionel, Raymond & Alexina

Geraldine Kaine-Carter

It is with great sadness that we announce the death at age 89 of Geraldine Dolores Kaine-Carter, wife of Kenneth Carter, on Wednesday February 19, 2014, a week after she suffered a fall at her home in Campbellton.

Geraldine was born in Flatlands, on July 5, 1924, the daughter of Ruth (McDavid) Kaine and William (Billy) Mowat. She was predeceased by her parents, her first husband Edmund Bourque, her beloved brother Thomas Kaine, and two sisters Florella Wraight and Dorothy Craswell.

She is survived by her husband Kenneth Carter of Campbellton, her daughter Carol (Tim) Savage of Miramichi, her son John (Duhy) Bourque (Sabine Harbottle) of Edmonton, Alberta, her sister-in-law Carolyn Kaine of Guelph, On. nieces and nephews.

Geraldine grew up in newarby Flatlands attending school there and in Campbellton. She was a member of the Restigouche United Baptist Church in Flatlands and after moving to Campbellton she attended the First Baptist Church in the city. She was a Registered nursin Assistant and worked for 17 years in the Infirmary at the Provincial Hospital in Campbellton where she met her husband Kenneth Carter. They were married in 1978.

Gerry Gallant

Saturday, February 22nd, 2014 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital, at the age of 70, passed away Mr. Gerry Gallant of Atholville, husband of Mrs. Francoise Gallant. He was the son of the late Catherine (Arseneault) and late J. James Gallant.

Besides his wife, he will be sadly missed by his children: Lise (Danny Brown) of Charlo and Claude of Atholville; his grandchildren: Marie-Claude, Fancis and Elodie; his brother and sister: Normand Gallant of Atholville and Irene Gallant of Moncton also by many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents, his sister Bertha and brothers: Valmont & Lionel.

Urban Ellis

The death of Urban Ellis of Jacquet River occured at the Bathurst Regional Hospital Saturday, February 15, 2014 at the age of 79. Born in Jacquet River, he was the son of the late Harry & Mary Catherine (Legacy) Ellis.

Urban is survived by several nieces & nephews. Urban was the last surviving member of his family having been predeceased by his sisters Florence, Eileen and Ella as well as his brothers Jackie and Rean.

A quiet man who will be forever remembered as 'the man on the bicycle'. He travelled the province from Jacquet River to St John, Fredericton and little trips from Bathurst and Dalhousie. He was seen daily biking through Jacquet River summer & winter until he moved to Oasis Care Home in Bathurst three years ago. Beside biking his other passion was singing and playing guitar.

Dorothy Meadows nee Teed

Dorothy Meadows at Credit valley Hospital on February 16, 2014 at the age of 97. Born in Campbellton she was the beloved wife of the late Walter Meadows (1986)

Loving mother of Madelene and her late husband Michael Bloemink (2005) of Keswick. Also loved by grandchildren Lindsay (Paul) Whitfield, Jeffrey (Janinah) and Adam as well as great grandchildren Liam and Lucas Whitfield.
