Edward Dickie

The death of Edward Dickie of Benjamin River occurred March 17,2015 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital at the age of 95.He was the son of the late John Robert and Emma (Pettigrew) Dickie.

He was born on Heron Island and was a lifelong resident of Benjamin River, N.B., he spent his last few years at the Darlington Manor. He was a longshoreman, woodsman, truck driver and worked for DNR and was a dedicated lobster fisherman for 52 years.

Edward is survived by his wife Marjorie (Joncas);children; Garnet (Jane) of Guelph,ON.,Lance (Tracy) of Durham,ON.Annie Lee Caissie (Oswald) of Moncton and Mitchell (Lynn) of Pennfield;6 grandchildren;8 greatgrandchildren as well as his sisters Betty Prickett and Lou Moores.He was predeceased by his brothers Lloyd and Rankin and stepmother Lena.

Rita Lavoie

It is with great sadness that the family of Rita Lavoie announces her peaceful passing on March 15, 2015 at the age of 91.

Rita is predeceased by her beloved husband John Lavoie; son Edward Lavoie; sisters Evelyn Albert, Florence Flanagan, Bridget Lanteigne and Alvina Lebreton; brothers Alvin Bacon, John Bacon, Aurele Bacon and half-brother Maurice Bacon.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Lorraine Lavoie Riadi (Hanna), sister Theresa McRae, half-brother Robert Bacon, grandchildren Stephen Arseneault, Lise Steeves, Eric Lavoie, and Joanne Betts, and great grandchildren Jessie, Jamie, Jordan, Jaden and Melanie; as well as many nieces and nephews and loving friends.

The family extends their sincere thanks to the kind and compassionate caregivers at the Campbellton Nursing Home for the wonderful care they gave our loved one Rita in her greatest time of need. Also special thanks to all family members and friends who were there for Rita.

Inez Renouf Donnelly

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on March 23, 2015 at the age of 82, Inez Renouf Donnelly of Campbellton, wife of the late Robert Donnelly.

She leaves to mourn her son Gerald (Joyce) of Upsalquitch, her brother Lloyd Renouf of Campbellton, one grandchild, many nieces and nephews

She was predeceased by one daughter Heather, sisters Linda and Ellen, brothers Edward, James (Willis) and Christian.

Albert Peter MacLean

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Albert Peter MacLean of Charlo, New Brunswick which occurred on March 11, 2015 at the Dalhousie Nursing Home.

Albert was born at the home of his Aunt Janet (Albert) Tait in Dalhousie N.B. on June 14, 1923. The second youngest of fifteen children of the late John Currie & Winifred (Dickie) McLean of Charlo N.B. Albert was predeceased by his wife of 49 years Joyce (Bolster) MacLean

Upon graduation from River Charlo Superior School Albert joined The Royal Bank at their Dalhousie N.B. branch at the age of seventeen. After 42 years with the Royal Bank he retired in 1983 after serving 27 years at the Montreal, Quebec Main Branch and returned home to live in Charlo at his ancestral home.

Albert was a Parishioner of The St John United Church in Dalhousie also serving as both Elder and Clerk of Session. He served on the Miramichi Presbytery and Maritime Conference of the United Church of Canada.

An Air Force Veteran of the Second World War he served from 1943 -1946. He was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion for over 60 years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge # 32 in Campbellton N.B. and a charter member of The Salaberry Masonic Lodge, Chateauguay, Que. Also former President of the Caledonian Society of Restigouche and a founding member of the New Brunswick Scottish-Cultural Association

Albert loved to hunt, fish, solve crossword puzzles and was a winter genealogist tracing his ancestors roots from Scotland.

Albert is survived and sadly missed by his 5 children John C MacLean of Apohaqui, N.B., Margaret (Peter) Roy of Charlo N.B., Peter (Terri) of Oakville, Ont. Aubrey (Cheryl) of Apohaqui , N.B. and David (Annette) MacLean of Ottawa, Ont., 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, one sister Margaret Fawcett of Riverview, N.B., and several nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was predeceased by his parents, wife and 13 brothers and sisters.

The Family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to Rita Perrott of Charlo, a long time companion and kindred spirit of Albert’s. His final years would not have been the same without the loving care and devotion of his dearest friend.
