Evan Firlotte

The death of Evan Firlotte of Belledune, occurred at his residence on Tuesday, April 14th, 2015 at the age of 60. Born in Campbellton, NB, he was the son of Ann Baker-Firlotte.

Besides his mother, he is survived by his brother Dale (Brenda) of St. John and many cousins & friends.

He was predeceased by his sister Lorraine and brother Glenford.

Wayne Hickey

The death of Wayne Hickey of Jacquet River occurred at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst on Thursday, April 16th, 2015 at the age of 64. Born in Lorne, he was the son of Arsene Hickey and the late Irene (Godin) Hickey.

He is survived by his common law wife Michelle Cunningham; daughter Sandra Guitard (Pierre Luc) of Bathurst; son Morris (Jen) of Quispamsis; grandchildren Ayesha, Ashton and Owen as well as his brothers Donald, Francis, Philip and sister Evelyn.

Charlotte Pettigrew

The death of Charlotte Pettigrew of Seaside, occurred at her residence on Thursday, April 16th, 2015 at the age of 87. Born in Jacquet River, NB, she was the daughter of the late Julia (Dempsey) and late William Elsliger and wife of the late Gordon Pettigrew.

She is survived by her children: Mavis (Ian) Mazerolle of Miramichi, Danny Pettigrew of Dalhousie, Sharon (Bernard) LeCouffe of Dalhousie and George (Debbie) Pettigrew of Moncton; her 10 grandchildren: Krista Pettigrew, Kerry Pollock, Keith Pettigrew, Chad Mazerolle, Leah Mazerolle, Eric LeCouffe, Jake LeCouffe, Jonathan Pettigrew, Matthew Pettigrew and Cassandra Pettigrew; her 8 great grandchildren: Ashtyn, Mackenzie, Jada, Hailey, Madison, Alex, Tessa and Grady; her sisters: Ethel Charest of Vancouver and Cynthia Allan of Montreal; her brother Donny Elsliger of Belledune and by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Besides her parents and her husband Gordon, she was predeceased by her son Bruce, her brothers: Arnold, Alfred, Gerald and Austin; her sisters: Freda, Geraldine, Helena and Viola.

Adeline Flanagan

The death of Adeline Flanagan of Jacquet River, occurred at the Foyer Notre Dame de Lourdes, Bathurst on Tuesday, April 14th, 2015 at the age of 90. Born in Nash Creek, NB, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Landry and late Albina Fournier-Landry and wife of the late Ralph Flanagan.

She is survived by her sons: Danny of Calgary, Tommy of Edmonton and John (Kelly) of Bellingham, Washington; her daughter Patsy Doyle (David) of Belledune; her grandchildren: Leah, Alyssa, Conor, Keegan and Adam; great-grandchildren: Quinn and Ronan Murphy and her sister Doris Beers. B

esides her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by son Billy and sisters: Mary Landry, Antoinette Landry, Évangeline Chiasson and Corinne Palser and brothers: Arthur, Hector and Edgar Landry.

Albert Legacy

The death of Albert Legacy of Belledune occurred suddenly at his home Saturday,April 18,2015 at the age of 71.Born in Bathurst,he was the son of Helen and the late Leo Legacy.

Albert is survived by his wife Dianne,son Lee,mother Helen,brothers Edward,Percy and Antonio as well as his sisters Dorothy Carbno,Yvette Legacy and Diane Legacy.

Malcolm Richard

The death of Malcolm Richard occurred at his home in Riverview, NB on Wednesday, April 8th, 2015 at the age of 78. Formerly of Jacquet River, he was the son of the late Arthur and Elizabeth Richard.

He is survived by his wife Donna, sons: Jeffrey (Tracy) and Jason; his grandchildren: Nicole, Kyle, Zackery, Emma & Tyler; also by his brothers: Albert & Romain; his sisters: Emelia, Dorothy & Albertine.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brothers: Emile, Alfred, Francois, Joe & Gerard; sisters: Leonie, Ozith, Rosaline, Lucienne, Adrienne & Anne-Marie.

Gemma Valdron

Passed away peacefully at the Dalhousie Nursing Home on March 17, 2015 at the age of 90, Gemma Galganie Valdron (née-Poirier) of Dalhousie, wife of Joseph Austin Valdron.

Gemma was a loving wife and mother survived by her husband Austin, her three children, Linda Currie (Ted), Harold (Dawn Marie), and Douglas (Connie), four grandchildren Tyler, Jared, Amelea, and Claire. Also survived by her three brothers David, Maurice (Germaine), and George (Rita), and numerous well loved nieces and nephews.

Arlington Stewart Mair

Arlington “Arlie” Stewart Mair, of Riverview, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, March 23, 2015 at the age of 92. Arlington was born on January 10, 1923 in Campbellton and grew up in Tide Head, New Brunswick.

He graduated from the Nova Scotia Agriculture College and then from MacDonald College (McGill University). On October 18, 1952, he married Helen Isabel Dickie. Arlington worked for Co-op Atlantic his entire career, retiring in January 1988 after 37 years of service. He was a member of Central United Church and sang in the choir for over 50 years. Arlington was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to all. He enjoyed reading, gardening, golf, playing bridge, painting and was a long-time supporter of the CBC.

Arlington is survived by his wife of 62 years Helen, daughter Jane Percy (Kevin), son David Mair, daughter Nora Lacey (Greg Potten) and his three grandchildren Dr. Jennifer Percy (Dan Clayden), Edward Percy (Alana Green) and Luke Lacey as well as sister Kathleen Bursey of Tide Head, many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Arlington was predeceased by his parents Robert and Ellis Mair, brother Robert Mair and sister Alda Currie.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Emergency Department and unit 4200 at the Moncton Hospital as well as Dr. Carole Deveau, Dr. Pamela Vardy and Dr. Mylene Despres for their kindness and compassion. Thanks also to the staff of Monarch Hall.
