Myrtle Mary (Murne) Arseneault
With deep sadness, the family of Mary Myrtle (Murne) Arseneault of Jacquet River, NB, announce her passing at the age of 95. Murne’s death occurred at the Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst, NB on Thursday, March 26th, 2015 after a brief illness.
Born in Jacquet River, NB on May 10, 1919, Murne was the wife of the late Joseph Arthur Arseneault and daughter of the late Alexander and Clara Hickey. She was a kind, caring woman who enjoyed a long, fulfilled life, “ Mom” had a wide range of interests. She shared her family’s love of sports and loved spending time in the outdoors. In the warm summer months, Murne would spend hours in the berry patch perfecting her life- long passion. She was a member of the local Roman Catholic Church and a former member of the Catholic Women’s League. Murne was a wonderful, attentive mother and her sixteen grand-children, and eight great grand-children were each, individually, the apple of her eye.
Murne will be sadly missed by sons Stanton(Marjorie), Charlottetown, PEI, Allan (Muriel), Beresford, NB, Carl (Suzanne), Beresford, NB, Mark, Belledune, NB Paul, Belledune, NB and daughters, Molly Elsliger (Donald), Belledune, NB, Rita Giffin(Brian), Montreal, PQ, and Carmel Constant, (Michel), Alexandria, Ont. She will also be sadly missed by her sister Rhoda Winton (Robert). In addition to her late husband and parents, Murne is pre-deceased by her son Kenneth (1960) and daughter Mary Theresa (2012), as well as brothers Monseigneur Raymond Hickey, Father Gus Hickey, Arthur Hickey(Ada), and Delphus Hickey (Eva) and sisters Amanda Hickey, Hilda Watson(Freeman), Mildred Cyr (Phil), Beatrice Firlotte (Victor) and Gertie Macmillan (Art).
Jamie Hickey Scott
The death of Jamie Hickey Scott of Rusagonis, NB wife of Abe Scott, occurred suddenly at her residence on Friday, March 27th at the age of 37. Born in Lorne, she was the daughter of the late Mackey Hickey and Carmella Carrier.
Beside her husband Abe, she will be sadly missed by her children: Tyler and Amelia Scott, her brother Rodney Hickey, her mother Carmella and stepfather Ulric Carrier, her grandparents: Sadie and Valmond Carrier and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Clayton Charles Smith
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Clayton Charles Smith which occurred on March 28th, 2015, at the age of 69 after a lengthy illness.
Born in Campbellton, NB on March 15, 1946 to Guy P. Smith and Joyce Mackay. Clayton worked for NB Power Dalhousie Generating Station for over 25 years.
Clayton is survived by his wife Betty Ann (Lapointe), son; David (Lisa Thember) Airdire, AB, daughter; Shyanne (Jacques Bergeron) Dalhousie, NB. A brother, Preston (Betti Ann) Smith of St. Margaret's Bay, NS. Two grandsons, Shane and Keagen Bergeron of Dalhousie, NB.
He was predeceased by his parents and one nephew Kristin Smith of St. Margaret's' Bay, NS. Aunts Nina MacDougall (Fredericton) Joyce Dickie, formally of Campbellton now of Sussex, uncles William Smith and Murray Smith of Wentworth, NS. Several cousins from across Canada.
Elizabeth "Peggy" Doucet
With her family by her side, Peggy died at sunrise on Easter Sunday at the age of 64.
She is survived by her 3 children Bonnie Flanagan (Jim), Jenny-Lynn Doucet (Eric), and Troy Doucet (Cathie) and grandchildren Collin, Kohal, Vince and Elizabeth. She was predeceased by her husband Donald Doucet.
Peggy was a very special woman and will be sorely missed by her family and numerous dear friends. She had a warm heart and showed great affection to so many people. She was a devoted mother and proud Grammie who always put her family first. She loved cooking, her church, taking walks on the NB trail and working in her garden. A woman who faced many challenges throughout her life, she always persevered with great strength and determination and was a true inspiration. Highly dedicated to her community, she felt most alive when volunteering and devoting her time to helping those in need. Many considered her a second mother because they knew that her door would always be open. We will miss having tea with her, her hugs and her warm smile. Peggy was an endless source of kindness and love and we will miss her so much.

Oscar Renault
Oscar Renault peacefully passed away on March 29 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital at the age of 91. Born and raised in Campbellton, he was the son of the late Médard Renault and the late Éliane Haché. His wife Dorothy passed away in 2009.
Our Dad was a business man during 25 years, after which he retired at the young age of 48. His passions were many; he enjoyed writing, he spent time at woodworking, he built boats, he had beehives and produced honey, he raised trout, he worked at a huge vegetable garden and especially enjoyed his raspberry bushes. He built a sound system and enjoyed music, photography and devoted much time to reading throughout his life.
Oscar is survived by his 5 children : Pierre (Dale Williamson) of Campbellton, Pauline (Curt Thomas) of Naples Florida, Bernard (Edna Losier) of Naples Florida, Carmen (Maurice Durepos) of Moncton, Jeanne (Pilar Villalobos) of Moncton, 3 grandchildren Marc of Toronto, Frederic of Vancouver and Mathiew of Moncton, 3 brothers Marc of Montreal, Louis of Texas, Robert of Campbellton, 2 sisters Dina of Saint-Charles Boromée -Québec and Marcelle of Ottawa.
John Clement Vick Jr.
We are deeply saddened to announce the death of John Clement (Clem) Vick Jr., on April 6th, 2015 at the Campbellton Nursing Home at the age of 100.
Born in Campbellton, New Brunswick, August 15th, 1914, he was the son of the late Annie Horth and the late John clement Vick Sr. Predeceased by his wife, Mary Elizabeth (Shaw), son, Conrad Clement Vick, grand-daughter, Kimberly Ann Vick, brothers, Wilfred, George and sister, Mary Macenauer.
Clem is survived by his children, Allen (Florence), Carrol Chedore (Jack), David (Colleen), Linda (Jean-Claude), daughter-in-law Phyllis (Dickie), grandchildren, Cindy, Dean, Mathieu, Vanessa, Jason and Lori; great-grandchildren, Christian, Chad, Tye, Ali, Michel and many nieces and nephews. Also survived by sisters, Rita Fraser and Elizabeth Felber (Otto).
Clem retired from the CNR with 35 years' service. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. His three proudest achievements were President of the Campbellton Figure Skating club putting on a spectacular show called under the Big Top with a live orchestra, head coach of the Campbellton Midget Royals winning the 1961-62 Provincial Championship and his induction to the "2010 Campbellton Sports Hall of Fame" at 95 years of age.
He will be greatly missed by family and friends.

David Eldon Hickey
The death of Eldon Hickey of Jacquet River occurred at the Chaleur Regional Hospital Bathurst, May 2, 2015 at the age of 85.
Born in Jacquet River, he was the son of the late Holten and Julia (Guitard) Hickey.
Eldon is survived by his wife Doreen; son Barry (Lise) of Sarnia; daughter Diane Doucet of Moncton; granddaughters Krista,
Tiffany and Hannah; grandsons Nathan and Byron; great granddaughter Zoe as well as his sisters Audrey Furlong,
Charlotte Joncas and brothers Earl, Augusta and Malcolm.
He was predeceased by his brothers Clarence and Morven and sisters Myrtle, Barbara and Dorcas.
Veronica "Vera" Patterson
The death of Veronica (Vera) Patterson of Dalhousie occurred peacefully on May 9, 2015 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital. She was 95 years of age and a former teacher for many years in northern New Brunswick.
Born in Jacquet River, she was the daughter of Josephine Doyle and Matthew McDonnell.
She was predeceased by her husband Warren, her sister Kathleen and brothers Frank and Edwin.
She is survived by her sister, Alice Boyes of Montreal, nephews Bernard McDonnell (Judy) of Belledune and Robert Boyes of Montreal, nieces Carmel Pilon (Barry) of Ottawa and Maureen McDonnell (Danny) of Toronto as well as grandnieces Emilie and Kady McDonnell, Sarah and Christine Boyes.
