Dennis Gerald Parker

Passed away at his residence on April 21, 2014 at the age of 63, Dennis Gerald Parker of Campbellton and formerly of Robinsonville. Born in Campbellton on September 6, 1950, he was the son of Melissa Thompson and the late Ivan Parker.

Dennis lived life his way. He had a reat sense of humor and could always put a smile on your face with the stories that he woule tell. He will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.

He leaves to mourn his daughter Tanya Lynn of Pembroke, ON, his son Jason Dennis of Bradford, ON, his stepson Jason, his brothers Kenneth (Shyaron) of Whitby, ON, Fred (Carol) of Brampton, ON, his sisters Merdena (Wendell of Etobicoke, ON, Sara of Robinsonville, his granddaughter Caitlin and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

He was predeceased by his father Ivan Parker and his grandparents.

Hazel Mary Elizabeth Russell

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Hazel Mary Elizabeth Russel on February 25, 2014 at the Palliative Care in Dalhousie after a short illness.

Born in Durham Parish, Hazel was the daughter of Edward and Ernestine Russell.

She is survived by a brother Reggie, sister Janice Gauvin, sister-in-law Winnie and many nieces and nephews.

Beside her parents she was predeceased by brothers Truman, Allan and sister Irene.

Wayne Myles

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on April 22, 2014 at the age of 79, Mr. Wayne Myles of Tide Head.

He leaves to mourn his wife Georgina Pollock Myles, his sons Lanson (Debbie) of Campbellton, Errol (Patti) and Tim (Susan) both of Tide Head, his brothers don (Sharon) of Saint John and Glen (Rose) of Plaster Rock. Also survived by his four grandchildren Cory, Nathan, Shannon and Caissie, many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his parents everett Myles and Vera Irvine.

Maurice Comeau

Maurice Comeau, 76, of Beresford, passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a lengthy illness.

Born in Dalhousie he was the son of the late Arthur and Palmire (Bélanger) Comeau.

He was a Chemical Lab Technician in Dalhousie for most of his life.

Besides his wife, Suzanne (LeBlanc) (Monteith) Comeau, he is survived by two sons: David and Daniel.

Two daughters: Jacqueline and Linda. Four grandchildren. One brother, Albert Comeau (Jeannine) of Quispamsis, N.B. One sister, Gloria Comeau Roy (Claude) of New Richmond, Que. One step-son, Rodney Monteith (Kerry Anne) of Calgary, Alta. Several nieces and nephews.

He was pre-deceased by five sisters.

Katherin Hayes (nee Doyle)

Katherine passed away in 104th year. Katherine, the daughter of James Doyle and Katherine MacDonald was born in Belledune NB in 1910. She was predeceased by her husband Harold in 1957; and by her sisters Marion and Eileen and brother Jack. She attended the local one room public school at Armstrong Brooke and finished high school at Saint Mary's Academy in Miramichi. She graduated from New Brunswick Normal School in 1928. She began teaching that same year; a teaching career that spanned twenty five years; the first half in New Brunswick and the second half in Montreal.

Following the death of her husband Harold, Katherine and her young family moved from Nash Creek NB to Montreal where she taught at Daniel O'Connell school from 1959 until her retirement in 1972. Katherine continued to live in Montreal until 1996 then returned to her original home in Nash Creek.

She is survived by all of her six children: George (Sylvia) of Calgary, Edith Brent of San Jose California, James (Lynn) of Ottawa, Kevin (Catherine) of Ottawa, Kathleen of Nash Creek NB, Allan (Theresa) of Nash Creek; eleven grandchildren; Carolyn, Stephanie, Marc, Matthew, Laurie, Michaella, Carmen, Sarah, Emilie, Angela, Suzanne, and; ten great grandchildren.

On the occasion of Katherine's centenary in 2010, her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews gathered to celebrate an extraordinary life. Katherine was warmly honoured for exceptional love, devotion and generous spirit as a mother, grandmother, wife, daughter, sister and aunt.

Kathleen Hayes, her sister and brothers wish to thank the the staff of Palliative Care Unit of the St. Joseph Community Health Centre in Dalhousie NB for the warm and professional care of their mother.

John (Jack) J. Fracker

John (Jack ) Joseph Fracker, husband of Claire Fracker of Miramichi Bay and formerly of Miramichi, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Thursday, April 24, 2014, at the age of 66.

Born in Chatham, on May 3rd 1947, he was the son of the late William and Eleanor (Leona Hebert) Fracker. He was a plumber /pipefitter by trade and a retired employee of U.P.M. Ltd., Miramichi; he was a member of St. Mary's Anglican Church, Miramichi; a former member of Vestry and member of the choir; a volunteer with the Community Kitchen, the Salvation Army, the Kidney Foundation, local volunteer with the Billy Graham Ministries, a member of a worship band ministry, a member with N.B. Christian Ashram committee.

Jack loved people and was passionate about sharing God's love with others. He loved to travel and he had a great joy in building , especially the new home on Horton's Creek, where he enjoyed many family get togethers. He recently bought a motorcycle and enjoyed riding with family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife, the former Claire Nichol; one daughter, Lori Fracker, of Ottawa, Ont.; three sons, Douglas Fracker, of Calgary, AB, Bill Fracker (Kimbra), of Ottawa, Tony Fracker (Cheryl), of Ottawa; two sisters, Eleanor Cosman, of Quispamsis and Florence Dickson (Herbie), of Miramichi; one brother, Archie Fracker, of Trumbull, Conn., USA; six grandchildren, Brittany Fracker, Kieran Fracker, Isaac Barton, Elissa Fracker, Ella Fracker, Addy Fracker.

The honorary pallbearers were Pete McGregor, Bill Skerry, Fred Fillier, Geo. Ross, Paul Murphy, Eric Cameron, Herb Dickson, Gerald Jenkins, John Ross, Al Fraser. Active pallbearers were Ron Reid, Mel Martin, Donnie Martin, Gordon Legg, Joe Cable, Laurie Baldwin. Interment will be in St. Michaels R.C. Cemetery, later in the spring.

Neil John Audit

With great sadness, the family of Neil John Audit announces his passing on April 21st in Saskatoon, SK. Neil, 58, was the son of Monica Bourque (Harold) and the late Gerald Audit. Neil is survived by his mom; his sisters Jean Short (Wade), Maureen Pascal (Linn), and Clare Archibald (Wayne); brothers Jon and Bruce; daughters Monica and Alisha and son Bruce; granddaughter Caira and grandson Daniel; and several nieces and nephews.

Neil was a painter and took great pride in his work. He enjoyed spending time with his sister, Jean and her husband, Wade in Saskatoon, playing pool, discussing world issues, reading, and being generous.

Yvonne Stevens

The death of Yvonne Stevens of Dalhousie occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital Tuesday, April 22, 2014. Born in Lorne, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Mary Jane (Francoeur) Carrier.

She is survived by her son Morris (Anne) of Belledune; grandson Timmy; brothers Richard & Benoit as well as her sisters Gloria Legacy, Marcia McDonald and Alice Carrier. She was predeceased by her husband Ralph and grandson Deejay.

Harmon McCormick

The death of Harmon McCormick of Blackland N.B. occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital, May 5th, 2014 at the age of 89. Born in Blackland, New Brunswick, Harmon was the son of the late Duncan McCormack and Elizabeth (Bessie) (Hamilton) and was predeceased by his wife Irene, his partner in life, who passed away April 16th, 2013.

Harmon had a tremendous passion for life and family. He had many joys which included working in the woods, gardening, growing trees, reading, teaching, learning, Philosophy, caring for his dogs and driving his tractor. A retired WWll RCAF member who saw service with 442 SQN during the war, Harmon retired from the RCAF in 1969 with 20 years’ service while stationed at Moncton N.B. He subsequently moved back to the area where he had grown up and became a teacher at LER in Dalhousie. He always loved meeting his former students and received great enjoyment from their stories. After his retirement from LER he became a fulltime woodsman in Blackland, where tractor and chainsaw were his constant companions. He had a great love for the people of the North Shore and a special connection with you if your last name was Hamilton. He was a Boston Bruins fan who also enjoyed watching a good Ball game. He will be greatly missed by his loving family. He now holds hands with his beloved Irene.

Harmon is survived by his; son Charles (Joanne) of Blackland, son John (Leanne) of Pembroke Ont, daughter Stephanie (Brett) of Montreal; son William (Ann) of Burton N.B, 6 grandchildren & 9 great grandchildren. He is survived by his Brother Irven of Ilderton Ontario, and many nieces and nephews.

Norvel Hachey

At the Campbellton Regional Hospital on Thursday, May 1st, 2014 at the age of 92, has passed away Mr. Norvel Hachey of Atholville, husband of the late Rose Alice Hachey. He was the son of the late Lawrence Hachey and the late Agnes Jane "Memory"(Leboeuf).

He will be sadly missed by his children: Michelle (Michel Garneau) of PEI, Suzanne (Larry Lunney) of Salisbury, William "Billy" (Alice Deschenes) of Campbellton, Tim (Joanne Belanger) of Petit-Rocher and Paul (Jel Fernandez) of Clairmont, Alberta; his grandchildren: William, Karen, Vicki, Angie, Ghislain, Vincent, Martin and Sophia Rose; his great grandchildren; Kennedy, Kayleigh, Allie, Danika, Mackenzie, Aliyah, Briden and Renelle and by many members of the Gallant’s family, nieces, nephews and friends.

He was predeceased by his wife Rose Alice, his parents and many brothers and sisters.

Mr. Hachey was a WWII veteran.

Esther Walker

The death of Esther Walker of Lorne occured at the Campbellton Regional Hospital Thursday,May 01,2014 at the age of 84.Born in Lorne,she was the daughter of the late John & Ellen (Francoeur) Carrier.

She is survived by her husband John (Billy);daughter Irene Godin (Glen) of Jacquet River;son Paul of Toronto;grandaughters Stephanie and MarieAngele;greatgrandson Mackenzie as well as her brothers Telesphore and Valmond and sisters May Mallaley and Rose Godin.

Esther was predeceased by her brothers Eugene and Lionel and sister Cecile Godin.

Alma Jane Irvine

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on May 5, 2014 at the age of 95. Alma Jane (nee Thompson)Irvine, a long time resident of Flatlands but most recently of the Village Nursing Home in Campbellton.

She leaves to mourn her son Kerry Irvine (Brigitte) of Lindsay, ON, daughters Gayle Chesser of Moncton, Ona Irvine and Susan (Jean-Guy Caron) of Campbellton. Survived by brother George Alymer (Patsy) Thompson, sisters Verna Bulmer and Iris (Robert) Montomery.

Predeceased by her husband Ronald Alexander Irvine: her son Karl (Glenna) Irvine, her parents Augustus and Lottie Thompson; her brothers Austin Freeman and Gussie, her sisters Bessie Letourneau, Muriel Barton, Vivian Murray, and Etta Murray, her granddaughter Kelly (Nee Chesser) Pettipas.

Alma was well loved in the community and known for her kind gentle manner as well as her beautiful smile.

Betty Amanda Adams

Betty Amanda Adams of Mann's Mountain passed away peacefully at the Campbellton Regional Hospital, May 5, 2014 at the age of 69.

Born in Dawsonville on January 27, 1945, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Beatrice Adams.

She is survived by her life partner Denzil Downs, her daughter Donna (late David), her three sons; Dennis (Danielle), Douglous (Sheila), Danny (Cindy), ten grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Betty will be remembered for her sense of humour, her love of cooking for others and knitting for family and friends.
