David Doyle

The death of David Doyle of Jacquet River occurred May 12, 2015 in Jacquet River at the age of 66. Born in Armstrong Brook, he was the son of the late Alban John (Jack) Doyle and Eileen Frances Culligan Doyle.

David is survived by his wife Patsy (Flanagan); children Leah Murphy (Corey) of Fredericton, Alyssa Doyle (John) of Newport Beach, California, Conor (Sheri) of Edmonton; grandchildren Quinn and Ronan Murphy; sisters Verna Truman, Monica Grant, Elaine Fontaine, Carole Roberts(Dave), Sandra Curwin as well as his brother Kevin.

Joseph Edward "Eddy" Poirier

Joseph Edward "Eddy" Poirier, 80, from Dalhousie NB, passed away on Tuesday, May 13, 2015 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital. He was born on February 9, 1935 in Dalhousie, NB to Irene and Diane (Ward) Poirier.

Eddy grew up in Dalhousie on his family's small farm. As a youth, Edward enjoyed sports, hunting, fishing, and they remained his passions in life. Edward joined the New Brunswick North Shore Regiment in 1949 and served in the Canadian Military Service for 16 years before leaving and returning home to Dalhousie.

Eddy married Colleen (Moore) Poirier in 1961 in St. John. They were happily married for 51 years.

Eddy always enjoyed giving back to his community. He was very active with the local Search and Rescue Division, RCMP dog training, Restigouche Gun club, 866 Air Cadet Sqn, Legion, a volunteer speaker in local schools regarding Military History, and another program for Wilderness Survival for students in Eel River Crossing and Balmoral. He was recognized and received the Queens Diamond Jubilee Medal honoring his community services. He was also recognized for his service to Veterans and received the Minister of Veterans Affairs medal and Commendation.

Eddy is survived by his 3 children, Mitchell (Jackie) Poirier, Bathurst, Monica (Shawn) de Moss, Dalhousie, and Angela (Steve) Tadema, Cold Harbour, NS, 5 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his loving sister Juliette Poirier Fortin, Montreal and his brother Adelard Poirier of Cobourg, Ontario. He was predeceased by his wife Colleen Moore.

Eileen Gallant

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on April 14, 2015, at the age of 79, Eileen Mary Gallant of Campbellton, wife of Augustin "Gus" Gallant.

She is survived by her husband "Gus" Gallant, a daughter Kim Lavallee of Montreal, a son, Kevin Lavallee of Dalhousie, five grandchildren of Montreal and one sister-in-law Gerry Legacy.

She was predeceased by her brothers Donald, Eddie and Glenford and one sister Melinda.

Joan MacKenzie

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on May 14, 2015 at the age of 77, Joan Charlotte Menzies MacKenzie of Dalhousie, wife of the late Ronald Thomas MacKenzie.

She is survived by four children, Judy, Ruth, Glenn, and Ellen, eleven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, brother Perley Menzies of Dalhousie Jct., one niece and several nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Ronald MacKenzie, son Wade and sister dorothy Brown of Bathurst.

She will be missed immensely by all who loved her.

Gary Edwards

Passed away at his residence on April 15, 2015 at the age of 66, Gary Edwards of Point La Nim, husband of Florence Metallic.

Gary was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was always gardening and cooking.

He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Florence, two sons, Jason and Colin, brother Terry (Halifaax), sister Shirley (Dalhousie), grandchildren Shannon, Brianna, Savannah, Yasmine, adopted granddaughter Emma and Goddaughter Mandy Metallic, brothers-in-law Frank (Mary Ann), Percy (Shirley), Stanley (Sandra), Joe (Leona), John (Tina), Henry (Leila), and sister-in-law Annie (Paul), also many cousins, nephews, nieces and many friends.

He was predeceased by his parents Bill and Orpah, brother David and sister Sheila.

Pallbearers were Mark, Aubrey, Jason, Colin Edwards and John Henry Metallic. Honorary Pallbearers were Mark Hengst and Ranny Rankin.
