Mike Cyr

Passed away at his residence on September 26, 2016 at the age of 59. Mike (Michel) Eugène Cyr. Born in Campbellton on April 8, 1957, son of Claudette (Parent) and the Adrien Cyr.

He is survived by his parents Claudette (Parent) and Adrien (Cyr), his two sisters Gisele (Peter Germain) of Campbellton, Ginette (Réjean Duclos) of Kedgwick, his brother Luc (Anick) of Fort McMurray, Alberta; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his paternal grandpare

Reginald Russell

It is with great sadness that the family of Reginald (Reg) Russell, husband of the late Marie Lea Surette, announce his passing at the Campbellton Regional Hospital October 1, 2016 at the age of 93. Reg was born on November 12, 1922 to Edward and Ernestine (Côté).

Reg leaves to mourn one son Barry (Joane) of Eel River, four daughters, Bonnie Hamilton, Anne Whalen (Peter), both of Riverview, Barbara Nolan (Terry) of Moncton, and Joyce Letourneau (Chris) of Dalhousie, one sister, Janice Gauvin of Dalhousie, eleven grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren. In addition to his wife Marie, Reg was predeceased by two sons, Bernard and Evan, two brothers, Allan and Trueman, and two sisters, Irene (Albert) Winchester and Hazel Russell.

Douglas James Doucet

Jim Doucet peacefully passed away on September 19, 2016. Born July 23, 1943, in Campbellton, New Brunswick, Jim retired to Madeira Park, British Columbia.

He is survived by his sons Ricky and Colin, sisters Judy, Jill (Dewar), and Johann, brothers Jerry, Jeffrey, and Corey.

Predeceased by his dad John Doucet, mother Cora (Irvine) Doucet and sister Paula Kerr.

Jim went west in 1969 to work in the Yukon at Clinton Creek. He was transferred to Casiar in northern British Columbia to work at the mine where he eventually became the Mine Manager. Jim Doucet was a man of many trades, a volunteer fireman, ambulance medic, and was very active in the Lions. He loved fishing, hunting, boating, trapping, snowmobiling, and gardening. Helping people was his first concern. His motto was "Live life like there is no tomorrow". And he did!

Gerald McNaughton

Gerald McNaughton of Campbellton, NB, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on October 3, 2016, at the Campbellton Regional Hospital.

Born in Cross Point, Quebec, on November 10, 1928, he was the son of the late Sinclair and Irene (Adams) McNaughton.

Gerald is survived by his loving wife, Carmel (Ahier) and his children Coleen (Stephen Carson), of Saint John, NB, Kathy (David MacLeod), Cole Harbour, NS, Ken (Brigitte Boudreau), of Atholville, NB, Kim (Mark Guitard) of Campbellton, NB, Gretchen (Luke Caissy) of Campbellton, NB, and Lissa (Michael Dickie) of Rothesay, NB. He was predeceased by his brother, Beverly, his sisters Geraldine Fraser and Carol Greene.

Grampy was adored by his eight grandchildren, Michael and Andrew MacLeod, Ross Guitard (Amanda Barnaby), Alexandra and Christopher Caissy, Laura Carson, Jack and Ian Dickie.

Gerald was a man who loved his family dearly. His greatest joy was being surrounded by his children and grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father, father-in-law and grandfather. Gerald was a man of unconditional love, unwavering faith and he will be greatly missed.

Gerald was a businessman who took great pride in serving delicious Dixie Lee chicken for over forty years. He served as a Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus and was a long-standing member of the UCT.

Our heartfelt appreciation goes to the nurses, doctors and staff of the Campbellton Regional Hospital for the genuine and compassionate care provided to him and his family.
