Ralph Mallaley
The death of Ralph Mallaley of Lorne occurred at ST Joseph's Hospital, Dalhousie, on October 17, 2001 at the age of 73.

He was born in Lorne to Joseph Mallaley and the late Evangeline LaPointe and worked as a woodsman.

Besides his father, he is survived by Shirley (LaPointe), Lillian (Dempsey), daughters Lucy Dempsey Mallaley, Dawn Mallaley (Lance) Lori Mallaley, Carol Ann Mallaley (Gerald), Rhonda Mallaley (Stephen) all of Lorne and Susan Kaloustian of Hamilton, Ontario. Step-daughters Cindy and Nicole, sons Ralph Jr. (Ruby), Gary (Dola), Gene, Mark (Charlene), Martin, Michael and Keith, all of Lorne, step-son Rickey, sisters Ernestine, Anna, Jacqueline and Darlene, brothers Angus, Allan, Andrew and Evans, 21 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his mother, son Christopher, brother Ernest and sister Cecile.



Mrs. Lois Moran

The death of Mrs. Lois Moran of 477 Montgomery Street, Dalhousie, occurred at Dr. George Dumont Hospital, Moncton, on October 17, 2001.

She was born in Ottawa to the late Edwin Jarmin and Alice Williams and was active with the Catholic Women's League and the Duplicate Bridge Clubs in Dalhousie and Campbellton.

She is survived by her husband, Jack Moran of Dalhousie, daughters Phyllis Lewis (Roger) of Albany, Oregon, Debbie Reinsborough (Tom) of Riverview, Ann Mescheder (Horst) of Beaconsfield, Qc., and Cathy Moran (Andrew Hamer) of Christ Church, New Zealand, son Owen Moran of Oshawa, brothers Edwin Jarman of Ontario and Jerry Jarman of Washington, D.C., grandchildren Tanya Moran, Michelle Moran, Kelly Reinsborough, John Reinsborough, Heather Reinsborough, Andrew Mescheder, Alannah Mescheder and Michael Mescheder.

She was predeceased by daughter-in-law Karen Murray.



Roger Chassé

The death of Roger Chassé of Campbellton occurred October 16 at Campbellton Regional Hospital.

He was born in Kedgwick on March 29, 1927 to the late Octave Chassé and Annette Girard and had worked as a taxi driver.

He is survived by his wife Gertrude Arseneault of Campbellton, daughter Jacqueline Pollock of Tide Head, sons Claude of Montreal, Denis of Victoriaville and Gilles, Maurice, Camille and Daniel, all of Campbellton, sister Madeleine Parent of Montreal, and grandchildren Scott, Chad and Claudette.



Stella M. Burris
The death of Stella M. Burris of New Jersey, U.S.A. and formerly of Eel River Crossing, occurred October 18, 2001 at the JFK Medical center in Edison, New Jersey.

She was born in Eel River Crossing on January 30, 1922 and is survived by sisters Simonne (Walter) Stensch of Montreal, Irma (Chester) MacNair and Irene (Wilfred) Poirier both of Charlo and Carol (Art) Burden of St. John's Newfoundland and by brother ARnold (Elsie ) Burris of Eel River Crossing.



Marvin Hickey
The death of Marvin Hickey of Jacquet River, husband of Flora Gallen occurred at Bathurst Regional Hospital on October 17, 2001 at the age of 79.

He was born in Jacquet River to the late Holten Hickey and Julia Guitard both of Jacquet River and had worked as a miner.

He is survived by his wife Flora, daughters Angela Hickey (Rae) and Darlene McGregor (Michael) both of Jacquet River, grandchildren Todd, Darla, Chris, Ryan, Helen and Candace, brothers Eldon, Gus, Earl and Mackie, and sisters Audrey Furlong, Barbara Brophy, Dorcas Arsenault and Charlotte Joncas.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sister Myrtle Delaney and brother Clarance.
