Lilly Vicaire

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lilly Vicaire of Listuguj on May 28th, 2015. Lilly died of natural causes at the age of 84 surrounded by her family at the Campbellton Regional Hospital. Lilly was born Auralie Caplin on December 20th, 1930 in Listuguj to the late Daniel Caplin and Agatha Morrison.

A devoted wife and mother, she was predeceased by her husband Edward Vicaire and their two sons, Edward Jr. and Kenneth. Lilly is survived by her children: Mona (Paul), James (Carol), Lillian, and Bonnie; her siblings: Mary, James, Frank (aka Gowie), and Angie; her grandchildren: Melanie, Freeman, Clinton, Allan, Mackenzie, Drew, Robyn, Megan, and Caitlin; and eight great-grandchildren. She will be lovingly remembered for her dedication to her family, as well as for her great sense of humor. A special thank you to Bernice Martin from the Vicaire family, as well as to the staff of the medical ward at the Campbellton Regional Hospital for their compassionate care. Lilly will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Maxine Price

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on May 27, 2015 at the age of 84, Maxine Gerrard of Campbellton, wife of Murray Pric

Maxine is survived by her husband of 63 years Murray R. Price. Village Nursing Home; daughter June Aucoin, son-in-law Cecil Aucoin of Fredericton, randdaughter Karla Dawn McLean, husband Corey McLean of Saint John, grandson Steven Murray Aucoin of Calgary and most cherished great-grandson, 4 year old Seth McLean.

Hailing from Tide Head, Maxine lived her married life in Campbellton. She taught Sunday School and was a faithful choir member of First United Church. She worked in retail/clerical at Sears order office, McRae's Mens Wear office, Church secretary and Dickson & Theede Insurance. Maxine enjoyed curling, singing 27 years with the Chaleur Echos-Barbershop, swimming and shopping.

Maxine had mnay wonderful friends and her presence will be missed, especially for her never ending sense of humour.

Lorraine Allard-Mah

Est décédée à Vancouver, Lorraine Allard-Mah, le 12 mai 2015 à l'âge de 67 ans. Fille de feu Henri Allard et Marie-Louise Desrosiers.

Elle laisse dans le deuil son époux Rennie Mah, ses deux soeurs-Aline Laviolette (Rhéal), Paulette LeBlanc (Gilles) et un frère Gérald Allard (Rita), ainsi que plusieurs nièces et neveux.

George Dawson

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on May 29, 2015 at the age of 82, Mr. George Arnold "Mannie" Dawson of Campbellton, husband of the late Etta Dawson.

He is survived by his daughter Darlene Dawson of Campbellton, his son Randy Dawson of Orangeville, Ontario, his sisters Vivian MacDonald of Medicine Hat, Alberta and Cynthia MacDonald of Campbellton. He is also survived by his 4 grandchildren, Chris, Joanne, Cassandra and Connor, 4 great-grandchildren, Crystal, Jacob, Dillan, Braeden, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Etta Thomas, his mother Doris Mann and father Arnold Dawson

James Mark Diotte

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on May 25, 2015 at the age of 47, James Mark Diotte of Campbellton, son of Jean Woods and Murray Diotte.

James is survived by his mother Jean woods Diotte and his father Murray Diotte. He is also survived by his brother Dwight (Imgard), Campbellton, his son Carlos, The Netherlands, his nieces Jessie and Veronica, his aunts Joan Woods (Van Currie), Campbellton, Colleen Woods, Victoria Genevieve Diotte, Niagara Falls, Nadine Briggs, Bowden and his uncle Richard Diotte, Bowden and many cousins.

James was predeceased by his uncle Edmond Servant.

A private family service will be held at a later date.

Gertie Freeman

Gertie Freeman, 85, of Grass Nursing Home, Riverview, NB and formerly of Dieppe, NB, passed away on Saturday, May 30th, 2015, at her residence. Born in Quebec City, QC, she was the daughter of the late Michael and the late Emelia (née: Gauvin) Geraghty.

She is survived by three daughters: Cathy (Mike) St. Onge of Amherst, NS, Carole (Michel) Bertin of Dieppe and Christine (Paul) Beer of Ottawa, ON; one son, Bob (Anne Phillips) of Abbotsford, BC; 7 grandchildren: Amber, Nathan, Justin, Zachary, Danielle, Leah and Jordan; 4 great grandchildren: Ben, Will, Myra and Olive, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, W.J. "Bill" in 1996 and also by three brothers: Bill, Michael and Freddy.

Allan James MacDonald

The death of Allan J.MacDonald of Charlo occurred on May 29,2015 at the Veterans Unit at the Campbellton Regional Hospital at the age of 95. Born in Lower Newcastle, he was the son of Ernest and Annie(Rivers) MacDonald.

Allan is predeceased by his son Jimmy, brother Albert, and his grandson Lee MacDonald. He is survived by his wife Claire(Heppell), sons Wayne(Mary),Brian(Rosalie),Michael(June),Dale(Donalda),and Daughter Helen(Bob Forest), also several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Allan will be sadly missed and always remembered by his family.

Rita Blaquiere

Saturday, May 30th, 2015, at the Campbellton Village Nursing Home, at the age of 94, passed away Mrs. Rita Blaquiere, wife of the late Francois Blaquiere. She was the daughter of the late Matilda Anne (Pineault) and the late Frank Gallant.

She will be sadly missed by her children: Jean (Ghislaine) of Ste. Julie, Qc., Maurice of Bathurst, Real of Greenfield Park, Qc., Marthe Blaquiere (Marcel) of Laval, Qc., Richard (Isobel) of Fredericton, Denis (Linda) of Campbellton, Helene Purdy (Harlyn) of Africa, Vivian Cripps (Timothy) of NS, Wallace (Nicole) of Shediac, Hubert (Charline) of Baie Ste. Anne, Constance LeBrun (Daniel) of St. Canut de Mirabel, Qc. and Nancy Bachant (Mike) of Russell, Ont.; by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; her brother Raoul Gallant of Montreal, Qc. also by many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was predeceased by her husband Francois, her parents and by many sisters & brothers.

Ron & Carole DeGroot

Ron and Carole Degroot may have passed before their time but they died together doing what they loved. On May 29th, 2015 they were involved in a tragic motorcycle accident in Bathurst.

Ron and Carole are survived by their two daughters, Krista Dumville (Chad) and Amy Bysterveldt (Jeff) as well as their beloved four grandchildren, Ava, Calvin, Finn and TBD. Carole also leaves behind a brother, Mark Allain. Ron will be missed by his parents, Marinus & Hilda Degroot. He also leaves behind his five brothers, Junior (Denise), Bill, Peter (Lynn), Nick (Carol), and John Degroot and a sister Trudy Dryden (Bob) along with many, many nieces and nephews.

As per their wishes, a service to celebrate their life will take place outdoors at their home on Wednesday June 3rd at 2 pm at 218 Degroot Rd. North Shannonvale, NB. The family welcomes all those close to them to join us. Those wishing to make donations in their honor to the Restigouche Gun Club or the Restigouche Timber Trail can do so at the service.

They requested that their tombstones read "me and her riding into the heavens" and that is how we will remember them.

Our hearts go out to the young man involved in the accident and to his family.

Graydon Brian Irvine

The death of Graydon (Graydie) Brian Irvine of Mann Settlement, Quebec, occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on May 27, 2015 at the age of 59. Born in Campbellton, NB, he was the son of Graydon (Sr.) and the late Mary (Butler) Irvine.

Graydon is survived by his wife Esther (Bryant) and children Kyle (Calgary, AB), daughter Hiedi (Josh, Whitehorse, YT) and Scott (Mann Settlement, QC) as well as his father Graydon (Sr.) and five sisters, Janice (Florida), Thelma (Gordon, Cambridge, ON), Cara (Gordon, North Carolina), Charlene (Florida) and Christa (Montreal, QC) as well as aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

In lieu of of flowers, a donation to the Mann Settlement Graveyard Fund or to a charity of one's choice would be appreciated. Important: Give the gift of life, sign your organ donor card today.

Earl J. H. Maloney

Passed away at the George-Dumont Hospital, Moncton, on May 28, 2015 at the age of 84, Mr. J.H. Earl Maloney of Dalhousie, husband of Opal Maloney.

He was predeceased by his parents, Earl and Mary (Bateman) Maloney and brother, Ronnie.

He is survived by his wife, Opal (Paradis) chidren, Peter, Mary and David ; grandchildren, Brent, Stephen, Kyle, Lauren, Sarah and Kieran; as well as siblings, Lois, Connie, Theresa, Eileen, Helen, Cathy, Pat and Mickey, and many nieces and nephews.

Earl was very active in community service throughout his life and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion and the Knihts of Columbus.

Rene Martin

Tuesday, May 26th, 2015, at the Campbellton Regional Hospital, at the age of 48, passed away René Martin of Atholville, son of the late Adeline (Doiron) and late Benoit J. Martin.

He will be sadly missed by his sisters: Rachel (Régis Maltais) of Tide Head, Nathalie (David Levesque) of Atholville and Josée (Serge LeBlanc) of Dalhousie; his nephews and nieces: Patrick, Mélanie, Jean-Mathieu, Myriam-Isabel, Karine-Émilie, Maryska and Megan; his great nephews and nieces: Kaylee, Emily, Kaleb, Sophie and Colton also by his dog Bella, aunts, uncles and many friends.

Marcel Johnson

Marcel Henry Roland Johnson passed away at the Campbellton REgional Hospital on May 22, 2015 at the age of 74. He was the son of the late Herman JOhnson and the late Bernice Campbell.

Survived by his sisters Stella Johnson Keough (Toronto), Margaret Johnson Harris (Campbellton) and many niceces and nephews.

Predeceased by brother Cecil JOhnson and George Johnson. He will also be sadly missed by his caregiver and friend Lilian Charlton .

Audrey Sharp

Audrey E. Sharp, Born April 14, 1924, the daughter of the late Ralph F. Sharp and Helen E. Johnson, passed away peacefully at the age of 91 on the morning of May 27, 2015, while in the Campbellton Regional Hospital.

She is predeceased by brothers Harold and Ronald Sharp, and survived by her sister Arline MacDonald (John), nephew Cameron MacDonald, and niece Ester Dobbs.
