Born on February 24th, 1933 and passed away on Friday October 28th, 2016 at The Village Nursing Home.
He is survived by his sister Betty Woodworth and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Orville & Catherine Good, sisters Dorothy, Florence and Lila.
George “Bud” Appleby
George “Bud” Appleby, 86, beloved husband of Lois (Sherar) Appleby, died Sunday November 13, 2016 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital. Born April 13, 1930 he was the son of the late Lloyd and Hazel (Smith) Appleby.
Bud, as he was known to family and friends lived his entire life in Dalhousie and Point La Nim and was a graduate of Dalhousie High School. He joined the regular army in 1947 served 4 years with the Royal Canadian Regiment which included training with the United States Marine Corp in West Virginia. Bud was also the owner of the beautiful and historic Chaleur Inn from the mid-sixties to the late seventies. He later established and operated Century21 Maritime Realty in the eighties and nineties. During that time, he served as President of the Northern N.B. Real Estate Board and also a Director of the New Brunswick Real Estate Board. For many years Bud was also a dedicated warden at St. Mary’s Anglican Church in Dalhousie NB.
Besides his loving wife Lois, Bud is survived by his children and their families. His daughter Caryl Overing, her husband John and their children Andrew, Chelsea and Liam of Montreal PQ. His son John Appleby, his wife Jennifer and their son Keegan of Colchester CT. He is also survived by his brother Alden Appleby, his wife Noella of Dalhousie NB and their daughters Luce and Lucie of Halifax N.S, and his brother in law Michael Sherar, his wife Elizabeth of Halifax and his son Brent of Houston TX. Bud’s passionate and embracing personality forged lifelong friendships that he cherished each day. The family would like to thank all those that were part of the fabric of his life. He loved you all.

Shirley Ellen (Mann) MacDougall
The death of Shirley Ellen (Mann) MacDougall of Robinsonville occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on November 7, 2016 at the age of 91. Born in Mann’s Mountain on April 18, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Richard Mann and the late Margaret Ann (Moores) Mann.
She leaves to mourn her son Richard (Heather), sister Hope Jones Farrer (late Clifford) grandson Chris MacDougall (Sherrie), granddaughter Kiela MacDougall, two great–grandsons: Jackson and Evan, she also leaves behind many caring nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her husband Reginald MacDougall, son Randolph MacDougall, granddaughter Jenny MacDougall, brother Farren and sisters: Jean, Myrea, Bertie and Peggy.
Shirley was loved by everyone that knew her. She was employed for many summers at Noye’s Snack Bar and noted for her famous doughnuts.
The funeral service was held from St–Andrew’s Anglican Church in Robinsonville on November 12, 2016 and celebrated by Rev. Ann Fairweather with interment at the Interdenominational Cemetery in Robinsonville.

George Thompson
Passed away at the Edmundston Regional Hospital on November 9, 2016 at the age of 86, Mr. George Thompson of Kedgwick River, husband of the late Maxine Irvine, companion of Patsy Gallant. He was born in Glen Levit on June 3, 1930, son of the late Augustus Thomas and the late Lottie Adams.
George will be greatly missed by his loving family, sons David (Kristine Prendergast) of Vancouver, BC, Kerry of Dalhousie, NB and daughter Brenda (Brian Bessey) of Riverview, NB as well as grandchildren, Bonnie, Meredith, Cameron and Graeme. He was a loving and thoughtful brother to both of his surviving sisters, Iris Montgomery and Verna Bulmer, both of Flatlands, NB. He was loved by all and will be dearly missed.

Donald Adrian Knowles passed suddenly at home in Chateauguay, Quebec on October 31st.
