George "Bud" Henry Murray
On April 23,, 2013 at the age of 85, Mr. Bud Murray of Richardsville passed away at the Village Nursing Home. Born on October 19, 1927 in Campbellton, he was the son of the late Sarah (Gallon) and the late Harry Murray.
He leaves to mourn his wife Bessie and children Marlene (Mark), Bruce (Nancy), Brian (Arlene), Brenda and Jennifer (George). Predeceased by his son John. Survived by sisters Irene Jenkins, Joan Henderson and Marion Mills. Also survived by his eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were his two sons Bruce and Brian, daughters Marlene and Jennifer and two sons-in-law George and Mark.
Marie Jeanne Durette
April 26, 2013 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital, passed away at the age of 85, Mrs Marie Jeanne Durette of Campbellton Village Nursing Home, wife of the late Amedee Durette. She was the daughter of the late Bertha (Benwell) and the late Antoine Babin.
She will be sadly missed by her soul mate Benny Delange, her children Jacques of Burlington, Ont, Irene (Raymond Croteau) of Granby, Roland (Donna Powerll) of Milton ONt, Yvette (Gerald Cormier) of Montreal, Molly (Roger Savoie) of Moncton, Gerald (Diane Castonguay) of Burlington ON., Helene (Gordon Daye) of Fredericton, Rejeanne (Jacques Comeau) of Dalhousie anbd Yvon (Chris Chabot ) of Hamilton ON; her sisters Rolande Leblanc, Therese Mercier, Yolande Perron and Adeline Pelletier, her brothers: Raoul (Joan), Marcel (Shirley), Raymond, Leo-Paul (Francine), Gerald (Ghislane) and Yvon (Jeannette); her 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren also by many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband Amedee, her son Richard, her parents and her brothers; Roland, Roger and Gilles.
Maureen Tehrani
It is with great sadness that the family of Maureen Tehrani (nee Parker) of Richmond Hill, ON, announce her passing on March 2, 2013 at Princess Margaret Hospital, Toronto, ON., after a courageous battle with cancer.
She is survived by her loving husband Hamid Tehrani and her two precious daughters Melanie and Tara Tehrani. Loving sister to Bryan Parker, Gary Parker (Judy) of Eel River Crossing, Karen Jessett (Glen), Colleen Murray of Toronto, Debbie Parker (Wayne) of Campbellton and Sandra Frenette (John) of New Mills.
She was predeceased by her parents Arnold and Doris Parker (Nee Gendron) of Eel River Crossing. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Sylvia (Basque) Elsliger
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Sylvia (Basque) Elsliger which occurred at the Dalhousie Nursing Home on Tuesday, April 30th, 2013. Born in Dalhousie, she was the daughter of the late Frederick Basque and Marguerite Roussel.
She was predeceased by her husband Alexander, her daughter Maureen Arsenault, her three brothers and four sisters.
Sylvia is survived by her daughter Roselyn St. Pierre (Terry), her sister Zerilda (Beefy) Arseneault of Dalhousie, six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, her son-in-law Guy Arsenault of Eel River Crossing many nieces and nephews and her extended family at the Dalhousie Nursing Home.
Greta Harvey
Relatives and friends throughout the area learned with deep regret the passing of Greta Harvey of Tide Head, which occurred at the Georges Dumont Hospital in Moncton, Thursday, Aril 25, after a brief illness at the age of 76.
Born on December 14, 1936 she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Elsie Mann. Greta was employed with the Fraser Pulp and Paper Mill for 29 years and was a member of the St. Andrews' United Church, Tide Head.
She is survived by her husband Glenford, son William, daughter-in-law Pam and granddaughter Alison. Also surviving are her sisters Phyllis (Dale Pozer), Ruby (Gerald Craswell), Brother Ken (Sheila) and Burton.
She was predeceased by her parents Elsie and Cecil Mann.
Active Pallbearers were nephews, Greg Law, Bobby Law, Royce Craswell, Jamie Craswell, John Law and Kevin Law.
Honory Pallbearers were, Tom Dewar, Clayton Allison, Jack Mann, Robie Bursey, Jim Babcock, Russell Irvine Jr., Harold Casey and Wayne Mann.
Gordon (Bud) Maltais
Thursday, May 2, 2013 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital at the age of 65 years, passed away, Mr. Gordon (Bud) Maltais of Glencoe, husband of Roseline (Godin) Maltais. He was the son of the late Inga (Fitzgerald) and late Percy Maltais.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Roseline, his daughters: Natalie of Campbellton and Gail (Reno Turgeon) of Campbellton; his grandchildren: Judy-Gayle, Rose-Mary and Zack-Gordon; his brother and sisters: Rita (late Eldon) of Dalhousie Junction, Bernard (late Diane) of Edmonton, Alberta and Norma Jean (late Jacques) of Rimouski also by many members of the Godin family, nieces, nephews and friends.
He was predeceased by his daughter Judy Marie May, his parents, brothers and sister: Anedaus (Beatrice), Treffle (late Marguerite), Nora (Romey) and Mary Ann (late Reginald).
Richard "Rick" Carter
Ricky was born in Dalhousie February 10, 1964, son of Mary Carter and the late Everett Carter, passed away suddenly in Toronto ON, April 6, 2013.
Survived by his loving daughters Cavell Carter and Crystal Carter both living in Ontario. Also missed by brother Wayne Carter (Linda Shea-Carter) of Newmarket, ON, sister Debbie Cooper (Gary) of Beamsville, ON, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Ricky was known for his love of music, he played the guitar and sang at many venues here in Dalhousie.
Dorothy Jean Sillars
Dorothy Jean Sillars passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital April 26, 2013 at the age of 86. Born in Campbellton, she was the daughter of the late Graham and Margaret (Duncan) Sillars Adams.
Jean is survived by her nieces Eileen (Gregoire) Targett (Ken), Summerside PEI, and Donna Jean (Gregoire) Wysote (Randy) of Listuguj, Special great aunt to Matthew Targett, Lori Anne (Targett) Denomme and Christopher Wysote.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her step-father Neil Adams, sister Christine (Sillars) Gregoire, and brother Donald Sillars.
Brent Durette
Passed away at his residence in Brampton ON on April 22, 2013 at the age of 48, Mr. Brent Durette.
He leaves to mourn his mother Jacqueline Doucet Durette and his father Jack Durette. Also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
