Shirley Elizabeth Dickson

The death of Shirley Elizabeth Dickson of Tide Head occurred on July 10th, 2014, at home. Born in Center Napan, NB on September 11th, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Milton and the late Elizabeth (McEwen) Galloway, and predeceased by Marcus, her husband of 49 years. Active in church and community for her whole life, she was a member of St Andrews United Church Tide Head, serving as member of Session, choir, U.C.W., and church school teacher. She belonged to Lady Alexander Chapter No. 24 Order of Eastern Star, Tide Head Senior Citizens Club, and Caledonian Society. She was a long time member of the Board of the Village Nursing Home, and was also a former Boy Scout Leader. She was honoured by the Village of Tide Head for her volunteer efforts. She is survived by her three sons, Robin (Cathy), Reg (Pam), and Terry, all of Tide Head, and six grandchildren, Harley, Carey, Cory, Sarah, Ryan, and Nolan. She was predeceased by brothers, Jim, Max, and Wilbur, and sister Ella.

Gisele L. Pinette

Passed away at the Dr. Georges Dumont Hospital, Moncton on July 11, at the age of 74, Mrs. Gisèle Martin Pinette of Campbellton, husband of the late Fernand Pinette. Born in Sainte-Anne-de-Madawaska, NB., on October 4, 1939, daughter of the late Albert Martin and the late Dorilla Martin.

She is survived by her daughter, Annick Pinette (Scott) of Moncton; her brothers, Fernand "Jos" Martin (Léola) of Edmundston, Gérald Martin (Irma) of Windsor, CT, Conrad "Noir" Martin (Delina) of Sainte-Anne-de-Madawaska, NB; her sisters, Marie-Mai Bérubé of Bristol, CT, Jacqueline Ruest of Sainte-Anne-de-Madawaska, NB, Rolande Bourgault (Ronny) of Biddeford, ME, Anne Whitney (Eric) of Springfield, MA and Yvette Ruest (Marcel) of Sainte-Anne-de-Madawaska, NB; 2 grandchildren, Alex Matthews (12yrs) and Jacob Matthews (8yrs) and Many nieces and nephews.

Pierre Lavoie

Pierre "Pops" Lavoie, son of René Lavoie and Marie Roy, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 7, 2014, surrounded by his loved ones at the young age of eighty-three. Formerly of Campbellton, NB, Pierre resided in Pincourt, Quebec for the last 50 years.

Predeceased by brothers Rudy and Roland "Rollie", he leaves to mourn his beloved wife Ruth Anslow, his precious children Randy (Roslyn), Rob (Mary-Jane), Keith (Eleanor), Karen and Margo (Glenn), who were so proud of his strength throughout his struggle, his cherished grandchildren Mike, Tina, Joey, Kevin and Jason, who will remember him as

"The Coach" since he never missed a chance to watch a game they were playing and loved giving tips. Also survived by brothers Maurice (Lyne) and Jacques (Norma), brothers-in-law Ian and John Anslow and mother-in-law Margaret Anslow. "Pops" inspired us daily and loved us proudly. "Pops" will be missed by many and the family would like to thank Jennifer, Dr. Anctil and all the caring people who fell in love with him at the Palliative Care in Hudson.

Albert Doucet

The death of Albert Doucet of Jacquet River occurred at the Bathurst Regional Hospital July 01, 2014 at the age of 78.

Born in Campbellton, he was the son of the late Jim Doucet and Georgina (Gillis). Albert is survived by Florence Duplacey and his extended family.
