Thursday, June 18, 2015 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital, at the age of 71, passed away Mrs. Gwendolyn Ironside of Flatlands, daughter of Mrs. Beulah Craswell and the late Fred Firth.
She will be sadly missed by her sons: Glenford Montgomery of Flatlands and Jason Ironside of Ontario; her grandchildren: Jessica, Ashley, Brittany, Daniel, Andrew and Cathy; her great grandchildren: Nicolas, Emelie and Maverick; her mother; her brother Fred Firth of Flatlands; her sister Kim Black (Richard) of Vancouver also by many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband Joseph, her children: Todd and Howie and her father.
William Pollock
William "Bill" Pollock, 81, of Cocagne, and formerly of Campbellton, NB, passed away on Friday, July 3rd, 2015, at the Moncton Hospital, Moncton, NB.
Born in Campbellton, NB, he was the son of the late Harold and the late Elizabeth (née: Parisé) Pollock.
Prior to retirement Mr. Pollock was an electrical contractor; he was the owner/operator of ABC Electric and D & L Electric. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Campbellton; the Rotary; the UCT and the Electrical Contractors Association.
He is survived by his wife, Thérèse (née: Leger); two daughters: Debbie (Ron Head) of Dieppe and Lynn (Jim Calvert) of Campbellton; one sister: Marilyn (Ron) MacCallum of Miramichi; one brother-in-law, Bernard Sharpe of Fredericton; one sister-in-law, Margaret Pollock of Fredericton; three grandchildren: Michael, Amy and Aiden; the extended Leger family from the Moncton, NB and Connecticut area, as well as several nieces and nephews throughout NB, Conn and Florida, who held a special place in their heart for Uncle Bill (M’oncle Bill).
He was predeceased by one sister, Marjorie and also by one brother, Harold Jr.
Alphonse Lavigne
The death of Alphonse Lavigne of Lorne occurred Sunday, June 28, 2015 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital at the age of 85. Born in Lorne,he was the son of the late Edward and Regina (Carrier) Lavigne. At the tender age of eight, he then went to live with his grandparents Jack and Mary (LaPointe) Carrier.
Alphonse is survived by his wife of ten years Rachel (Chamberlain); daughter Darlene (Robert Houston) of Belledune; granddaughters Leanne and Amber-Lynn; brothers Alphie and Valmond; sisters Amelia McGregor, Valerie Brimsacle, Lorraine Carrier, Yvonne Hickey; brothers in law Merlyn Driscoll and Albin Landry and last but not least his dog CHUM who he called daddy's dog who he loved more than life itself. He was predeceased by his brothers John, Thomas and Angus as well as his sisters Leona Doucet Landry and Adeline Lavigne Driscoll.
