Ernie (Ernest) Goudreau

Ernie Goudreau, 67, of Moncton passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on July 23 2014. Born in Campbellton, he was the son of the late Guy and Daisy (Jamieson) Goudreau.

Ernie was a retired Millwright with Castrol Canada with over 30 years service.

Ernie will be sadly missed by his wife of 48 years Linda (LeBlanc); sons, James Goudreau (Bobby-Jo) of Bradford, ON and Adam Goudreau (Carla) of Moncton; beloved grandchildren, Elyse, Ava, Logan and Eric; brothers and sisters Charleen Goudreau-Leduc, Richard Goudreau (Mary) Carolyn Goudreau, Roslyn Dumont, Diane Mercier (Claude) Paul Goudreau (Mary), Louise Roherty (Arnie), Philip Goudreau (Debbie) , Raymond (Patty), Mark, Carmen Robinson (Don) and Ronald, many nieces, nephews, extended family members and his canine companion Buddy.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by brother, Gerry and sister Gloria McIlveen.

Gwen Legacy

The death of Gwen Legacy of Dalhousie occurred at her home July 26,2014 at the age of 73.Born in Dalhousie,she was the daughter of the late Sydney and Florine (Malcolm) Fields.

Gwen was such a wonderful woman. She loved her husband William Legacy and family with all her heart and soul. She always did for others, and was a friend to everyone she met in life. She always saw the best in people. She was a great fishing partner to our father, and they spent countless hours doing that in the past years. I guess you could say it was one of her biggest passions. We feel it was the peace and tranquility of the lake and nature that drew her so strongly to this. She was such a special person, and we all miss her deeply. Her memory will never leave our hearts, and we feel her presence in everything we do each day. She will be our guide in life now. Our Mom, our heart, and our soul.

She is survived by her husband Bill, daughters Carrie Roy (John) of Dalhousie, Shelly Legacy of Dalhousie; son Kevin of Dalhousie ,grandchildren Candace Roy, Benjamin Warren, great-grandson Keaton as well as her sister Sylvia Basque. She was predeceased by her brother Douglas.

Joan Craig

Joan Mary (West) Craig age 88 of Dartmouth. Joan passed away suddenly and peacefully after a brief illness at Dartmouth General Hospital on July 21, 2014.

Joan was born in Burin, Newfoundland on July 4, 1926, the daughter of Martin and Mary (Shea) West.

Throughout her life she lived in several other Canadian communities, including Toronto, ON; Lunenburg, NS; Souris, PEI; Campbellton, N.B.; Summerside, PEI; and Dartmouth, NS.

Joan graduated from Prince of Wales College in Charlottetown PEI in 1945. She then worked for 12 years as a teller at the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce in Campbellton, N.B. before her marriage to David Craig. She was a member of St. Clements and then St. Vincent de Paul parishes in Dartmouth. Joan loved dancing and swimming, and continued to swim into her 70s.

Joan is survived by her husband David; son Brian(Kathy) Craig, Cole Harbour, NS; daughter Julia(Steven) Skipper, Wittenburg, NS; grandchildren Stuart, Paul, Joe, and Laura Craig, Cole Harbour, NS; Mark(Stephanie) Skipper, Halifax, NS, Sarah (Derek) Rose, Moncton, NB.

She will be lovingly remembered for her wit, style and zest for life. A special thanks to doctors, nurses and staff of 3East at DGH for their compassionate care of Joan while she was there.

Joseph Hermenegilde Boulay

It is with heavy hearts and sadness that the family announces the passing of Joseph Hermenegilde Boulay at the age of 96 in Belleville Ontario. Born in Bathurst on November 18 , 1917 he was the eldest of 13 childrean and the son of the late Arcade and Derilda (Arseneault) Boulay.

Joe worked a long career at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft in Longueuil, QC, retiring in 1980 with his wife in New Mills, NB. He always enjoyed takin family on long walks on the farm.

He will be greatly missed by his sons Ronald (Fran) of Florida, David (Janice) of Nelson BC, and Grant (Laurna) of Belleville ON; daughters Jacqueline (Peter) of Dalhousie, Susan (Harry) of Nelson BC and Joanne (Joe) of Antigonish NS, 17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; brothers; John, Lionel, Roderick and Raymond; sisters Yvonne, Anita, Fernande and Claire.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife Ida (DeGrace) siblings Fred, Terry, Fernand and Adeline.

Ralph C. Good

Ralph passed away peacefully on July 30th, 2014 at the age of 85 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital. Family and friends will miss his kind soul, great heart and loving gestures.

He leaves behind his wife of 67 years, Betty (Coul) Good, his three sons, Gary (Mary Lou) Good, Russell (Theresa) Good, Randall (Debbie) Good, his four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren

Robert Rae

The death of Robert J. Rae of Dalhousie occurred at the Dalhousie Nursing Home on August 5th, 2014 at the age of 83. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Howard and Ethel Rae.

Bob was a longtime employee of N.B.I.P. in the finishing and shipping department. He came to Dalhousie in 1952 and was very active in hockey and baseball. He was a member of the Dieppe Junior Cardinals who in 1949 won the Maritime Junior Hockey Championships. He was the president of the NB Amateur Hockey Association from 1981-1984, was a member of the Moncton Sports Wall of Fame, also inducted into Dalhousie Hall of Fame.

He is survived by his wife Anita (Coughlan), his children: Jeff (Carmella) of Woodbridge, ON, John of Chilliwack, B.C., James of Halifax, Jayson of Dalhousie, Jennifer of Dartmouth, NS; his grandchildren: Logan & Jordan of Woodbridge and many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brother Howard and sister Mary.
