Colleen moved to Dalhousie in 1964 after several brief visits. She loved this community and appreciated the simple things in life. Colleen was happiest enjoying all outdoor activities including snomobiling, snowshoeing and walking. She derived great pleasure in watching the playful antics of the numerous birds at her feeders. She loved the beach and in her younger years, would be one of the first to jump up and go fishing when conditions were right. Colleen was also one of the first to run away upon any bear sightings and she ws fond of relating stories from these and other excursions with her dear husband.

She loved to play TV Bingo and would sit most evenings and curse the bingo callers and anyone who didnt know better than to call between 6;15 and 8;00 pm. Colleen loved life and certainly did everything she could to live it to the fullest. In the words of her youngest daughter "God help the poor angel that tries to tell her that Heaven is a smoke-free environment". She was a down to earth woman who knew how to laugh at herself. She enjoyed life to the fullest and was very proud of her family, Colleen will be deeply missed.
