Donald "Donnie" Mercier

Tuesday, September 2nd, 2014 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital, at the age of 73, passed away Mr. Donald "Donnie" Mercier of Campbellton, husband of Mrs. Therese (Doiron) Mercier. He was the son of the late Georgina (Teed) and late James Mercier.

He will be sadly missed by his wife Therese, his daughters: Betty-Ann (Serge Fortin) of Dalhousie and Nancy (Raymond Savoie) of Atholville; his grandson Shawn Levesque (Jessica Maltais) and his great-grandchildren: Francis & Blake; his brothers: William "Billy" of Halifax, Melville "Mel" (Joan Hicks) of Saint John, NB and Robert "Bobby" (Mireille Beaudoin) of Atholville; members of the Doiron & Mercier families, also many nieces, nephews and numerous friends.

He was predeceased by his parents.

Errol Beckingham

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on September 3, 2014 at the age of 74, Mr. Errol Beckingham of Dalhousie, husband of Alcida Allard Beckingham.

Errol was a papermaker and a longtime passionate farmer. He was known by his co-workers as "Big Bake" and to be a hardworking man of few words.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Alcida (Allard) Beckingham and his four daughters: Judy (Sylvain Berube), Sandra (James Legacy), Dawn, and Genny (Lewis LaBillois). Errol was the proud grandfather of seven grandchildren and one great grandson (Sebastien, Mathieu, Tyler, Trevor, Emilie, Sophie, Jacob and Theo). He is also survived by his brother, John and sisters, Mona Lee and Donna.

Eunice Martha Thomas

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on September 5, 2014 at the age of 87, Mrs. Eunice Thomas of the Manoir Antoinette in Atholville and formerly of Robinsonville.

She is survived by her sister, Alma (William) MacInnis of Kingston, ON; her brother-in-law George Dawson; her sister-in-law Ada Thompson of Campbellton. Cherished memories will remain in the hearts of numerous nieces and nephews. Fondly thought of by many great nieces and nephews and her abundance of friends she made as she travelled along life's highways. You will live in our hearts forever, rest in peace.

Evelyn Bernard

Passed away at the Moncton City Hospital on September 4, 2014 at the age of 79, Mrs. Evelyn Mary Doucet of Moncton, formerly of Campbellton, wife of the late Roger Bernard. Born July 20, 1935 in Campbellton, daughter of the late Aurele Doucet and the late Marie Gillis.

She is survived by her common-law husband Ernest Ramsay; her four children, Raymond, Ronald, Bob and Elise; her siblings, Doreen Lavoie, Yvonne Walkie, Jacqueline Durette and Gerry Doucet. Also survived by five grandchildren; edris, Craig, Catherine, Adam and Kaylee and six great grandchildren. Evelyn will be greatly missed by her former daughter-in-law Martha Cheney.

She was predeceased by her husband Roger Bernard

Lloyd Oscar Targett

It is with great sadness that the family of Lloyd Oscan Targett announces his peaceful passing with his loving wife Doris of 66 years by his side, on September 3, 2014 at the Veterans Unit of the Campbellton regional Hospital.

He leaves behind to celebrate his memory, wife Doris (Dealy), daughter Karen Branch(Frank), sons Douglas (Linda Lapointe), Timothey (Marina Guitard) and daughter Kimberley Targett (Gary Luce). Siblings Connie Ahier, Betty and Arnold Targett. He also leaves behind grandchildren: Richard, Ashley, and Mehan Branch, Jamie, Krista, Troy and Trevor Targett and Whitney Good. 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a son Donald and sisters Robina nd Ilene Cyr.

Sylvia Rushton

It is with much regret and sorrow that the family of Sylvia Rushton of Tide Head announces her death. Sylvia passed away peacefully on September 5 at the Campbellton Village Nursing HOme, at the age of 85, with her family at her side.

She leaves to mourn her husband of 58 years, Roy, their children Eric (Cynthia) and Joanne (Trevor), grandchildren, Courtney (Derek) Katelyn (Dustin), Sarah, and Mark (Kim) and great-grandson Wyatt.

Sylvia was a dedicated wife and mother who supported Roy in his rise through the ranks of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. In this capacity she was one of only a handful of women to be recognized by the RCMP in September 2013 with the Unpaid Second Man award. Sylvia was a private, quiet woman, who devoted her early life to raising her two children until they reached adulthood.

Kathleen Bernin Adams (nee Traer)

It is with deep sadness that the family of Kathleen Bernin Adams announces her peaceful passing on September 7, 2014 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital at the ae of 94 following a brief illness.

Kathleen was born in Chatham on September 30, 1919 the fourth child of the late Charles and Alice (Dick) Traer. She is survived by her two sons, Bruce of Campbellton and ronald of Gaspe, four grandchildren, Cara of Toronto, Aaron of Halifax, Keely of Perth Aust. and Chad of Vancouver, one great granddaughter Asha of Perth Australia, two sisters-in-law Jean Traer of Campbellton and Gradys Traer of Calgary as well as many nieces and nephews.

Kathleey was predeceased by her husband, Allister (Allie) Adams, her parents and siblings, Fred, Dorothy, Lucy, Guy, Charles and Jeanine.

Adele Hodgson

Adele Hodgson, widow of Blair passed away on July 5 2014 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital.

She was born in Montreal, daughter of John and Victoria Omawka, sister of Tom Omawka, and Jane Nowakowski, both of Montrea. Her children are David of Moncton, Joan Craig of Pennfield Ridge NB, Deborah Youngg, Grand Bay NB and Susan Hodgson of Victoria BC., and ten beloved grandchildren.

Education/ careers included fashion and design, teaching school, and cooking. She loved the beach, dancing, gardening, friends , movies, and drives with Blair. She was a great cook. She loved animals. She will be dearly missed.

Mom if I could give you one thing, it would be the ability to see yourself through my eyes, only then would you realize hos wpecial you are to me. All my love Joan.

William A. Payne

William A. Payne, 74 , of Moncton, passed away after a lengthy illness with family by his side at The Moncton Hospital, on Friday, September 5, 2014. Born in Campbellton, NB he was the son of the late Austin and Lillian (Anderson) Payne. William retired after many years working in Sales and Service with Lounsbury's Co. Ltd in Moncton. In earlier years Bill was an active sportsmen. He played minor hockey in Campbellton and was inducted into the Sports Hall of Fame in 1953-1954 playing with the Campbellton Tigers; he was one of the first referee's to wear a helmet and soon after was made law within the Hockey Association. He was a referee in the North Shore League for a number of years. After Bill moved to Moncton he was involved with the NB Hawkes Team, he officiated in the AHL; He also played with the Amherst Ramblers where was inducted into the Sports Hall of Fame.

He is survived by his wife Margaret "Marg" (Goodall); daughters Erin Brenner, Kelly Hawkes, Cindy Resendes all of ON; sons Bill Jr. and Thomas both of ON; Step daughter Shelley Arsenault of Moncton; Step sons Marc London of Moncton and Jay London of Halifax; sisters Peggy Huibers of ON, Patsy Girard of Campbellton; brothers James "Jim" of Riverview, Herb of Moncton and Gerald of PEI; 9 grandchildren; also by several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents he was predeceased by his sister Helen Maher.

At his request there will be no public services held.

Francis Madore

Died peacefully at the Campbellton Regional Hospital Palliative Unit on Sept. 8, 2014, at the age of 89, Francis (Frank) M. Madore of Campbellton,NB. Born in Souris, PEI, son of the late Hilda Madore,

Frank leaves to mourn daughters: Denise(Roger)Gallant of Tide Head,and Donna Madore(Gord Lunn)of Fergus, ON; his grandson, Matthew Gallant of Tide Head; his brothers-in-law, Gerald Guitard of Campbellton, and Arthur Ferron, Souris PEI; his nieces and Nephews, Trina, Troy, Jenna, Janine, Kent, Danette, Claudette, Natalie, Jennifer, Joy, Nancy, Barbara, Brian and Daryl; sisters-in-law, Sheila Duncan-Clark of New Richmond, QC, Mary Lou Clark of Miramichi and Ruby Clark of Bathurst, NB. He was predeceased by his wife, Margaret(Clark) and his sister, Bernice Ferron.

He was a WWII Veteran and a long time member of the Campbellton Legion Branch 19.

Diana Leona Beaty

Peacefully at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket on September 10, 2014 at the ae of 51 years, Diane Beaty (nee Maltais) beloved wife of Paul Beaty of Jackson's Point, Diane will be fondly remembered by her family and friends.
