Edwidge Boulay

Madame Edwidge Boulay (Després) est décédée, entourée de sa famille, à l'Hôpital Régional de Campbellton le jeudi 24 septembre 2015, à l'âge de 85 ans. Fille d'Éric Després et Yvonne Cormier, elle est née le 22 septembre 1930 à Cocagne (Breau-Village).

Elle laisse dans le deuil ses enfants : Michel (Céleste) de Bouctouche, Raymonde (Bertin) de Dieppe, Gisèle (Pierre) de Boucherville, François (Nicole) de Restigouche Sud-Est, Nathalie (Perry) de Tide Head; ses petits-enfants : Josée, Éric, Amélie, Maryse, Alexandre, Meaghan, Camille, Abigail, Nicoleta et Ion.

Outre ses parents, elle s'en va rejoindre son époux Dr Raymond Boulay (1987), sa fille Diane (1980) et sa sœur Mildred (1991).

Andrew Valdron

Andrew Valdron of Dalhousie, New Brunswick, passed away on Friday, October 3, 2015, at the age of 79, following a 12 year battle with Cancer.

He is survived by his children, Dennis in Winnipeg, John in Dalhousie and Kyla in Australia, and by his grandchildren, Jared, Shannon and Ryan, and by his partner, Susan Mallaley. He is predeceased by his wife, Mary, his siblings Donald and Marjorie, and by his parents, Arthur and Maria.

He was a retired papermaker at the Dalhousie Mill prior to its closure, he was also the owner and operator of the Bar Drive In Theatre in Darlington, owner of Valdron's motels, inventor of a hydraulic woodsplitter, raised raccoons as pets, and restored antique cars. A Master Mechanic and garage owner for sixty years, he was the oldest licensed mechanic in New Brunswick, and worked continuously at his garage until shortly before his death. Because of his unique experience and skills, his customers came from across New Brunswick and Quebec to seek his services. He lived his life the way he wished.

Margaret Lefurgey

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on October 3, 2015 at the age of 91, Margaret Lefurgey of Campbellton. Born on May 22nd, 1924, daughter of the late Sherman and Edna (Boudreau) Lefurgey.

Margaret is survived by her brother Lorne Lefurgey. She was predeceased by her sisters Hilda (Perley) MacDonald, Ruth (Walter) Blaikie, Helen (Sandy) Taylor, Mabel (Bill) Vienneau, one brother Murray Lefurgey, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Kenneth Godin

The death of Kenneth Godin of Lorne occurred at the Bathurst Regional Hospital October 3, 2015 at the age of 77. Born in Lorne, he was the son of the late Raymond and late Eleonore (LaPointe) Godin. He spent 32 years in the Royal Canadian Air Force before retiring in his hometown, Lorne, NB. He will be remembrered for his great love of his family, his log cabin, hunting with his brothers, fishing with his grandchildren. Calabogle visits, tapping syrup in the spring and last but not least his beloved Habs. Kenneth is survived by his spouse Doreen, children Deborah McKinley of Miramichi, Brian of Miramichi, Marc (Teresa) of Lawrencetown, Lisa Godin of Miramichi, Dannie (Tabitha) of Fredericton; 13 grandchildren; two great grandchildren as well as his sisters Antoinette, Simonne, Sheila, Adrienne, Rhonda and brothers Alphonse, Valmont, Maurice, Urbain, Audel, Raymond, Desmond, Glen and Christopher. He was predeceased by his wife Connie 9Murchie) and brothers Herman and Osmond and sister Adeline.

Shirley Engstrom

Monday, October 5th, 2015 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital, at the age of 66, passed away Mrs. Shirley Engstrom of Campbellton. She was the daughter of Mrs Margaret (Bradburn) and the late Joseph Engstrom.

She will be sadly missed by her children: Allura "Kate" (Merv McLay) of Thunder Bay, Ont. and Maximilian (Jessica Brents) of Moncton; her mother Mrs Margaret Engstrom of Warren, Ont.; her adoptive son Joël Dazé of Kanata, Ont.; her ex-husband Réjean Dazé (Mariette Laporte) of Atholville also by many cousins and friends.

She was predeceased by her father and her sister Ellen.

Marie Blanche Sullivan

BLANCHE SULLIVAN MARIE BLANCHE SULLIVAN passed away on July 13, 2015 at Hastings Manor. Born to Major Doucet and Emilie Ferland on December 15, 1920 in Lorne, New Brunswick.

Predeceased by her husband, Albert Joseph Sullivan in 1972 and predeceased by all of her brothers and sisters: Emma Day, Adeline Lapointe, Antonia (Tena) Furlotte, Wilfred Doucet, Alex Doucet, Matte Doucet and Leo Doucet.

Blanche is survived by her sons, Ian (Paula) of Belleville, Kenneth of Toronto and Brian (Joanne) of Poland, Ohio, U.S.A., her six grandchildren, Kelly (Robin), Sean, Adam (Rachel), Mackenzie (Mike), Jamie and Kevin and her five great-grandchildren, Sydney, Ava, Zachary, Micah and Adeline. Upon leaving school in New Brunswick, Blanche traveled to and worked in Hamilton, Ontario and later Toronto, where she met her future husband, Albert.

After their marriage and two (2) children, she went back to school to become a professional hairdresser. Following the birth of their third child she established a successful business in her home, first in Perth and later in Brampton. The family moved frequently as her husband's career progressed, from Toronto to Perth, to Cheltenham, to Brampton, to Belleville and to Richmond Hill. While in Belleville, she was the hairdresser for the old Hastings Manor. Following her family's return to the Toronto area and the death of her husband at age 46, she purchased Richard's of London, a hairdressing salon in the Beaches area of Toronto. She eventually sold this business but continued to work in a number of nursing homes in the Toronto area as an independent hairdresser until well into her 70's. Blessed with abundant energy and a fierce independence, she was the life of the party. She was unfailingly kind and compassionate - always trying to help others. She will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her boys and their children and fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews, especially Rita Bennett, Norma Arsenault and Loney Day

Constance Bolton Gray

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Constance Bolton Gray. At the age of 72, her battle with cancer ended sadly on October 13, 2015 at CHSLD in Matapedia, QC.

She leaves to mourn her loving husband of 56 years, Lawrence Gray and her children Carol (Charles) Gray of Alberta, Roxanne (Paul) Wagner of Ontario, Richard Gray of Matapedia, QC and Rodney Gray of Matapedia, QC.

Dearest Grammy, you will be forever in our hearts; Cole, Blake, Crystal, Christopher, Trevor, Chad, Joel, Zachary, Brooke, Taliah and Asher. She is survived by her brother Billy (Yvette) Bolton and her sisters Muriel (Hartley) Patenaude, Helen (John) Goode, Maureen (Peter) Mihailescu and Ramona (Kenneth) Downs. She was predeceased by her parents Edward Bolton & Flora Gregoire, as well as her brother Todd Bolton.

Her kindness, love & generosity will be sadly missed by all of her dear family & friends.

Georgette Doiron

Passed away on October 19th at the Campbellton Regional Hospital at the age of 87, Georgette (Parker) Poirier Doiron, wife of the late Aimé Poirier of Charlo and the late Leo Doiron of Windsor, ON. Born in Campbellton, she was the daughter of the late Richard Parker and the late Alma (Levesque) Parker.

She is survived by her sons: George (Mary-Anne) Poirier of Windsor, ON and Roger (Jocelyne) Poirier of Bathurst, NB, her six grand-children: Amiee, Richard, Phillippe (Darla and great grand-child to be born in January 2016), Claire, Tracy and Terry and two great-grand-children, Amaya and Natalie. She is also survived by her twin George Parker of Atholville, her brothers, Clarence (Leona) of Moncton and Maurice (Anne) of Campbellton, her sisters Shirley (Ivan) Bois of Windsor, ON and Dorothy-Ann (Nick) Turnoski of Orelia, ON., her sister-in-law, Rina (late Eldon Parker) of Campbellton , her in-laws in the Poirier family and her in-laws in the Doiron family. She will be greatly missed by several nieces and nephews and their spouses that were close to her heart.

She will be joining her twin sister, Georgina, sisters Eileen and Estherine, brothers Eldon, James, Henry and in their final resting place.

Everett John Allan MacCurdy

Everett John Allan MacCurdy, 1927-2015 died Monday, October 19th,2015 at his home at the age of 88 years. Everett was the son of the late Daniel and Barbara (Murchie) MacCurdy, Dalhousie Junction.

Everett worked for the NBIP Co. for over 40 years as a carpenter and foreman. He loved creating and building his ideas ranging form homes, sleds, household furniture and whatever new design he could create.

His pass times included hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, gardening and taking care of his wife and daughters. Everett enjoyed talking to the young people in his community always encouraging them to do their best at whatever their passion.. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Joyce (Linton) and daughters Dorothy (Halifax) and Karen (Richard) Thompson of Moncton. He was predeceased by his seven sisters and one brother.

Mildred Roherty

The death of Mildred Roherty of Belledune occurred October 17, 2015 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital at the age of 87. Born Belledune, she was daughter of the late Albert and Elizabeth Pitre. Mildred is survived by her children; Richard of Moncton, Jane of Brampton, Charlotte of Dartmouth and Mark of Belledune; 10 grandchildren as well as nine great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Alton; daughter Judy and son Al.

Marcelle Allard

Sunday, October 25th, 2015 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital, at the age of 91, passed away Mrs Marcelle Allard from the Soldiers Memorial Villa of Campbellton, wife of Mr. Léonard " Alfie" Allard. She was the daughter of the late Marianne (Levesque) and late Alcide Lavoie. Besides her husband Léonard "Alfie", she will be sadly missed by her sons: Richard of Campbellton and Gilles (Trinda) of Riverview; her grandchildren : Serge, Madeleine and Joshua; her great-grandchildren : Jack, Ben and William; her brother Raymond Lavoie of Montreal also by many members of the Allard family, nieces, nephew and friends. She was predeceased by her parents.

Michael Kenny Haley

It is with regret we announce the passing of Michael Kenny Haley on October 20, 2015. He was born in Campbellton on September 29, 1937.

He is survived by his loving wife Barbara (Letourneau) and 5 children; Frank (Jane) Haley; Sally Salgado; Eileen (Tom) George; Terry (Arlene) Haley; Cindy (Scott) Stakiw; 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Surviving him is his sister Eileen Crosthwait; brother Wallace Haley, sister-in-law Ola Brown and many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his parents, Frank and Christine; brothers Frank Jr, Owen and Gerald; son-in-law David Salgado.

After retirement from the CNR, Ken and Barb took up golf so that they could have something else to bicker about. It also afforded them an excuse to go south during the winter months. We love him and will miss him.

Isobel Margaret Wilson

Isobel Margaret Wilson (nee McDavid) of Matapedia, passed away peacefully with her loving family at her side at the Campbellton Regional Hospital, on October 25th, 2015.

Born on May 13th 1927, she was the daughter of the late Price McDavid and Doris Downs. She grew up on McDavid's Mountain where she spent her early years working on the family farm. This is where her love of horses began which continued throughout her life. She married Leonard Wilson and raised her family in the home that he built for her overlooking the beautiful Matapedia and Restigouche rivers. In that home they raised nine children and their door was always open to one and all.

Isobel was predeceased by her husband of 62 years and son David (Susan). Left behind to mourn her passing are her remaining children, Reid (Susan), Sheila (Gerry) , Ricky (Eileen), Allie (Doreen), Judy (Peter), Mike (Bob), Rod (Cindy) and Bill (Jodi). As well as her 14 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Maisy (late Dalton), Gloria (Peter) and two brothers Milton (Muriel) and Lorne (Jocelyne) and her step mother Gert.
