Marjorie Noel (Knowles)

The death of Marjorie Noel of Mitchell occurred Monday, Oct. 20, 2014 at the age of 92. Born in Mitchell, she was the daughter of the late James and Bridget (Guitard) Donnelly.

She was well known for her fishing capabilities for many years and was proud to have ‘out fished’ many of the men in the community. She was also very proud to have been able to drive and keep her car in tip top shape moving it from shady spot to shady spot during hot weather to keep her paint from fading. Well known at the card parties as well as for her home made bread and cooking she will certainly be missed at all the functions where goodies will be served.

Anyone who would stop in for a visit would be told the story of how she traveled from coast to coast and if you had stopped to simply say good bye as you were leaving on a trip, you had better been able to out run her to the car because she seemed to always have a bag packed and ready to go with who ever wanted to take her on the next adventure.

Marjorie is survived by her children; Reggie of Brampton, Garnet (Linda) of Jacquet River, Timmy of Fredericton, Karen Scott (Keith) of Belledune, Beverly Noel (Dean) of Cochrane, Alberta, Brice (Kim) of Mitchell, 15 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, as well as her sisters Geraldine Glover and Lillian Cavanaugh. She was predeceased by her husband Delphus, children Lynus and Loddy; grandson Collin; brothers Jimmy, Robert, Dow and Hubert.
