Major Robert Bruce Firlotte EM, CD

Age 97, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at the Scarborough General Hospital.

He was born August 30, 1917 in Campbellton, NB, to the late Violet and Stanley Firlotte.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years Doris Firlotte (Mooers), daughter Catherine Johnson, son-in-law John Johnson, granddaughter Jessica Johnson, grandson Christopher Firlotte and partner Stefanie Vernuccio and predeceased by his son Lorne Firlotte and his sisters Vera Reith, Ila McRae and Joyce St. Jean.

He joined the North Shore NB Regt in 1937 and went overseas with Carlton York Regt, returning to Canada in 1942 for his commission. He joined the 1st Canadian Para in 1943 and went overseas again in 1944 to take part in the invasion of Germany.

Raoul Levesque

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on November 13, 2014 at the age of 91, Mr. Raoul Levesque of Charlo, husband of May Roy. Born in Charlo on October 10, 1923, son of the late Mathias Levesque and the late Blanche Loubert.

He is survived by his wife, May (Roy); his children, Germaine (Claude Levesque), Simonne (Roger Lepage) all of Balmoral, Dianne (Jacques McIntyre), Claudette (Richard McIntyre), Roland (Gail Mullin), Martine (Gerard Bernard) all of Charlo and Anne (Clarence Landry) of Dalhousie and his son-in-law, Jean-Guy Drapeau. Also surviving are 17 granchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; his brothers, Erard Levesque and Paul Levesque and his sisters, Ella DesRosier, Almee Smith, Marielle Drapeau and Jeannine Drapeau.

He was predeceased by his parents and his daughter, Jacqueline.

The funeral mass will be held at St. Francois Xavier Church Charlo on Monday at 11:00 am.

Visitation at Maher's Funeral Home, 517 Avenue des Pionniers Balmoral, Sunday from 2pm to 4pm, 7pm to 9pm and Monday from 10:00am until time of funeral.

Raymond Charles Kean

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital Sunday November 9th 2014, at the age of 80. Born March 30, 1934 in Campbellton, N.B. to the late Geneva Rogers and the late Evan Kean, he was 'adopted' by the late Chip and Vera Kean, his aunt and uncle.

He is survived by his children, Debra Kean of Campbellton, Barbara Kean of Campbellton, Jerry(Wendy) Kean of Halifax, Evan(Wendy) Kean of Dartmouth, Bruce (Roberta) Kean of Moncton and Colleen(Richard) Holton of Oromocto. He is also survived by his 8 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Georgina (Bujold) Kean.

At his request there will be no visitation or mass. Burial will be at a later date.

'The Old Night Owl' has signed off for the last time.

Donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appriciatred by the family.

Richard Goudreau

It is with great sadness that the family of Richard Goudreau, 77, announces his passing on Sunday, November 16th, 2014.

Born in Campbellton New Brunswick, Richard was a business owner, with long-time partner and friend Bill Doiron. In 2004, Richard and his wife Mary moved to Moncton to enjoy their retirement years closer to family. Richard loved, among other things, a good game of cards, a good laugh, curling and golf, and the company of friends and family.

Richard will be sadly missed by his wife of 54 years Mary (Imhoff); daughters Carol Lévesque (Léo-James), Joanne Thomas (Allan), Janet Cormier (Gerard), and Natalie Cann (Brian); grandchildren André (Micheline), Julie, Jeremy, Jacob, Isabelle, Brigitte, Nikki, Gabby, Alex and Jennifer; great-grandson Simon; brothers and sisters Charleen Goudreau, Carolyn Goudreau, Roslyn Dumont, Diane Mercier (Claude), Paul (Mary), Louise Roherty (Arnie), Philip (Debbie), Raymond (Patty), Mark, Carmen Robinson (Don), and Ronald; many nieces and nephews, and extended family members. Pre-deceased by his parents Daisy (Jamieson) and Guy, brothers Gerald and Ernest, and sister Gloria McIlveen.

Family and friends are invited to share memories at the visitation on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Fair Haven Funeral Home. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held in the chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at 3:00pm.

If desired, memorial donations to The Canadian Cancer Society or Friends of The Moncton Hospital would be appreciated by the family.

He will live on in our hearts through the smiles of his children, grand-children, and great grand-children.

Gerard Raymond Bernard

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on November 18, 2014 at the age of 56, Mr. Gérard Bernard of Charlo, husband of Martine Levesque.

Gerard is survived by his spouse Martine, daughters Nathalie (Catlin Cavanaugh). He is also survived by his mother Patricia Bernard and six siblings: Michel, Helene, Etienne, Luc, Charles and Lise.

Gerard was a hard-working person who never gave up. After a motorcycle accident left him paralysed, he wasted no time in modifying everything around him from a lawnmower to a motorcycle so that he could function as much as possible. He had a passion for nature and went on many hunting expeditions. He will be remembered for his love of Harleys and the love he had for his family.

Graydon Whalen

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on November 24, 2014 at the age of 80, Mr. Graydon Whalen of Eel River Crossing, husband of Fernande (LeBlanc) Whalen. Born on November 5,1934 in Eel River Crossing, son of the late Reginald Whalen and the late Clarissa Perrott. He was the former Fire Chief of the ERCFD & former Mayor of the Village.

He is survived by his children, Michael (Micheline), Mark (Réa), Dean (Nathalie), Gerry (Nicole) & Julie Whalen (Rick) and his only remaining sister, Twila Whalen of Prince Edward Island. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren & 5 great grandchildren with 2 more expected. He leaves behind several brothers & sisters -in-laws.

Jacques Michel "Jack" Renault

Jacques Michel "Jack" Renault passed away peacefully at the Campbellton Nursing Home on November 19, 2014 at the age of 87. He was born in Campbellton and lived his entier life there.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Charlotte (Steiner), granddaughter Erin, and great0grandson Jake.

He was predeceased by his son Fred Steiner, his parens, a brother and four sisters. He will be missed by several nieces and nephews.

He was a member of several organizations and always a willing volunteer. He will be sadly missed in the community.

John Nolan

It is with sadness the family of John NOlan announce his passing at the age of 83 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on November 17, 2014.

Jack will be greatly missed by his wife of 56 years Edith Nolan (McGrath), daughter Margaret, son-in-law Arthur Taughter, and granddaughters Elizabeth and Kathlean, Jack also leaves behind his brother Roderick Nolan, sister Patricia Edwars (Rex) sisters-in0law Dorothy Stewart (William), Anne Walker and brothers-in-law Patrick McGrath (Gertrude)and Nelson McGrath, along with many nieces and nephews.

Jack was predeceased by his sister-in-law Dorina Nolan and brother-in-law Tommy Walker.

Jack was a 45 year employee of the former NBIP. He was an avid horseman who also enjoyed his time playing bridge, golfind and curling.

Lorraine Hamilton

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on November 11, 2014 at the age of 89, Mrs. Lorraine Hamilton née Parent of Campbellton, wife of the late Norman Hamilton.

She is survived by her daughter Peggy Buchanan (Glenn) of Queensland, NS, her son Richard Hamilton (Sharon) of Kelowna BC, her sisters Jan Hamilton (Bobby) of Whitby, ON., Rose Bujold of Campbellton and her sister-in-law Irene Parent of Richardsville. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Tanya, Ryan, Monique, Jimmy, Matthew, Jeremy, two great-grandchildren: Chloe and Rachel as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Norman Hamilton

Ramona McGrath

Tuesday, November 18th at the Campbellton Nursing Home at the age of 85, passed away Mrs. Ramona McGrath of Campbellton, wife of Mr. Arthur McGrath. She was the daughter of the late Cecile (Arseneault) and the late Herbert Foster.

Besides her husband, she will be sadly missed by her children : Diane Grenier of Campbellton, Susan (Jean-Luc Landry) of Tide Head, Robert (Barbara Landry) of Pointe-à-la-Garde and Jo-ann (George McGraw) of Alberta; her grandchildren: Carol-Anne, George, Shanel, Brittany, James, Julie, Justin and Adam; great grandchildren : Kayla, Evan and Alivia; her sisters : Lila (Scott) of Arizona and Gloria (Gildor Blanchard) of Dalhousie also by many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents, her brothers: Mark and Allan; her sister Theresa.

Valerie Lloyd

The passing of Valerie Marion Lloyd (nee Doucett) in her 88th year formerly of Jacquet River, NB occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on November 24, 2014.

Valerie was the eldest child of the late Honourable Raymond Doucett and Ila Doucett. She is survived by her sister Janet Lutz and her brother Rayburn Doucett. She was predeceased by her sisters Margaret Rae Doucett, Betty Beebe and Debbie Doucett.

Valerie was an amazing mother to daughters Peggy Huffman (Don), Nancy Shaver (Mike) and Jinell Sherry (Tom). She so loved her 8 grandchildren Valerie, Dan, Ben, Ryan, Steven, Joshua, Trevor, and Shane and was very involved in their lives. She also leaves behind 6 great-grandchildren Payton, Dean, Natalie, Jackson, Molly and Isla.

Valerie was an RN graduate from Mount Allison and was head nurse of the neonatal unit at The Moncton Hospital before her retirement. She then provided loving care to her mother and many others over a number of years.

Valerie was greatly loved by all and will be truly missed!!!

The family would like to thank all of the staff at Terraces on Cliffe who cared for Valerie over the past 3 years as well as the Staff at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital ward 4NW for their kindness and compassion towards Valerie in the past few days.
