Albert Audette

Friday, October 18th, 2013 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital, passed away at the age of 81, Mr. Albert Audette of Dawsonville, husband of Marguerite Audette. He was the son of the late Marie Luce (Girard) and the late Pierre Audette.

He will be sadly missed by his wife Marguerite, his children : Lorraine (Charles Caissie) of Campbellton, Germaine (William Firth) of Milton, Ont., Hector (Jennifer Young) of Sarnia, Ont., Fernand (Cindy Harris) of St-Stephen, Suzanne (Allison Dunn) of Dawsonville, Michel (Dawn McKinnon) of Val d’Amour, Serge of Dawsonville and Francine (Craig Murray) of Robinsonville; his 15 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; his brothers and sisters : Gerald, Claude, Gerard, Paul, Charles-Pierre, Aurelie, Annette, Jeanne, Bertha, Rosa, Hermine, Laurette and Beatrice and their spouses; the Parker family : Everett, Adrien, Amedee, Edouard, Charles, Hectorine, Marie-Anne and Emerilda and their spouses also by many nieces, nephews and friends

He was predeceased by his parents, his grandson Andrew and his brother-in-law Ernest Parker.

Donald Carrier

The death of Donald Carrier occurred suddenly in London Ontario on Monday October 21st, 2013 at the age of 81. Born in Lorne NB, he was the son of the late Francis (Frank) & Laura (Francoeur) Carrier. He was predeceased by his wife, Cora (Levesque). Donald is survived by his sons, Dean of Montreal QC; Blaine (Connie) of London Ontario, Terrance (Ofelia) of Montreal QC; and his daughter, Brenda Carrier (Peter Marenghi) of Kapuskasing Ontario; numerous grandchildren; great grandchildren; his brothers Joe (Florence), Murray (Dorothy); and his sister, Eva Gallen (Herman); as well as by numerous nieces and nephews. Donald was predeceased by his siblings: Elric, Elias, Abraham, Nora, Edgar, Stanley, Ethel, Allison, Kenneth, Leo and Eldon.

Donald worked for over thirty years as a miner with Noranda Mines. He began working for Gaspé Copper Mines at a young age, and stayed with the company when it became Mines Gaspé. He worked as a heavy equipment operator and frequently referred to his job as having been one of the best jobs a man could have. He raised his family in the town of Murdochville QC, and kept fond memories of the town and his life there. Upon his retirement he relocated to Belledune NB and in more recent times he lived with his son, Blaine, in London.

Jimmy Smearer

The death of Jimmy Smearer of Black Point occured suddenly Thursday at the age of 49. He worked for WD Smearers Sales and Service. Jimmy loved being on the water and fishing.

He is survived by his partner Gaynna; sons Jason (Ashley) of Eel River, Nathan (Alannah) of Archibald, Matthew (Cori) of Calgary, Riley of Black Point; grandaughters Emma, Abigail & Addison; mother Cora Mealey (Teddy); sisters Cathy & Susie as well as his in laws Monica & Tony.
