Valida Guitard

The death of Valida Guitard of Belledune occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital Sunday, December 07, 2014 at the age of 86. Born in Belledune, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Guitard.

She is survived by her children; Andre (Thelma) of Belledune, Gerald (Guylaine) of Jacquet River, Emile (Flo) of Belledune, Mary Ann Guitard (Jake) of Eel River Bar, Sylvie Gagnon of Jacquet River, Yvette LaPointe (Wallace) of Archibald, Donald (Rolande) of Green Point, Sylvain (Karen) of Bathurst, 26 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren as well as her sister Isabelle Comeau and brother Zoel.

Valida was predeceased by her husband Samuel, daughter Simonne and son Julien.

Maureen Elizabeth Landry

Maureen Elizabeth (O'Connor) Landry, of Dalhousie, passed away peacefully at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on December 10, 2014 at the age of 81. Born in Stamford, Connecticut (USA) on May 30, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Anna Marie (Brady) O'Connor.

Maureen is survived by her sister, Sister Joan O'Connor of Hartford, Connecticut; her seven children, Lisa (Maurice) Good, Brian (Natalie) Landry and Jacques Landry (Carolann O'Toole) of Charlo, Jackie (Steve) Bigelow of Montreal, Sharon (Hugh) Morrin of Ottawa, Mary Landry Reilly of Safety Harbor, Florida and Caroline of Dalhousie. She is also survived by her 12 grandchildren (Shane, Heidi, Alexandre, Gabrielle, Sophie, Patrick, Madeleine, Hugh Edmond, Morgan, Keirsten, Samantha and Christina), her 5 great-grandchildren (Nolan, Layla, Mason, Hunter and Hannah), as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family members.

A funeral mass for Maureen will be held at St. John Bosco Church, in Dalhousie, on Tuesday December 23, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be held at the Church one hour before the mass.

For those who wish to do so, donations in Maureen's memory may be made to the "Friends of Healthcare Foundation" of the Campbellton Regional Hospital in honor of her several years of service as a very caring and compassionate nurse at St. Joseph Hospital, Soldier's Memorial Hospital and the Village Nursing Home in Campbellton.

The family wishes to send heartfelt thanks to the staff of Sunrise Manor and the Palliative Care Unit at the Campbellton Regional Hospital for the excellent care and respect shown to Maureen.

Leontine Doucet

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on December 18, 2014 at the age of 91, Mrs. Léontine Doucet of Charlo, wife of the late Gerald Doucet.

She is survived by her children, Pauline of Ottawa, Michel (Michelle Levesque) of Charlo, Pierre (Michelle Desrosiers) of Charlo.

She is also survived by her two grandchildren Renée and Philippe Doucet.

Marjorie Furlotte

The death of Marjorie (Russell) Furlotte of Saint Adolphe d’ Howard, Quebec and formerly of Belledune occured Dec. 10, 2014 at her residence. Born in Belledune,she was the daughter of the late Harold and Flora (Gray) Russell.

Marjorie is survived by her daughters; Judy Furlotte (Roger Lalande) of St. Adolphe D’Howard, Lisa Furlotte (Francois Dang) of Ottawa; 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; brothers Aubrey, Roland, Bobby and Troy as well as her sisters Leola Banks, Wanda Brennan and Mary Wilson.

She was predeceased by her husband Glen and brother Clayton.

Robert "Bobby" Gagnon

The death of Bobby Gagnon of Lorne occurred at the Chaleur Regional Hospital Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2014 at the age of 58. Born in Lorne, he was the son of the late John and Ethel (Godin) Gagnon.

"Bobby was a college graduate of two trades and worked as an Electrician/Welder with I.B.E.W.

He had a wide variety of hobbies from prospecting and coin collecting, to scuba diving and woodworking. He loved the outdoors, was an avid hunter/fisherman and enjoyed boating with his wife Brenda. He always had a great ear for music, and in earlier years played in a band with friends of his.

Bobby will be greatly missed by all the lives he touched.

Bobby is survived by his wife Brenda, son Jason of Lorne and daughter Bobbie-Jo (Brad) of Moncton; granddaughters Tabitha Labillois and Gabriella Decock-Gagnon; brothers Jean Baptiste and Leo Gagnon, Gordon Mott as well as his sisters Viola LaPointe, Lila Stark, Catherine and Anabelle Mott.
