Alexandre Carrier
It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of Alexandre Carrier on November 18th at 82 years of age. He was the husband of the late Rose Smith. Born in Lorne on November 16 1931, he was the son of Alexandre (Sandy) Carrier and Lucie Lapointe.
He is survived by his children Guy (Georgette Cleveland), Carmelle Joncas, Germaine Madsen (Kris), Claudette Carrier, Rose Marie Carrier, Pauline (Guy Hachey, Andre (Ghislaine Brideau), Louise Goupil (Gilles) and Charles (Rejeanne). Also survived by his brothers Celestin Carrier and David Hickey, one sister Lucie Waters. He had 19 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
Predeceased by his son Michel and his daughter Suzanne.
Alfred Gould
Alfred Jeremiah Gould of Campbellton passed away on November 13, 2013 at the Georges Dumont Hospital in Moncton, following a short battle with cancer. Born May 25, 1938 in Dalhousie, he was the son of the late John Henry Gould and Elisabeth Elsliger. Alfred came from a family of three brothers and three sisters.
He is survived by his sister Lillian, his brother Allan, his loving wife Jacqueline and his five sons David (Gisele), Brian (Marie Jose), Robert (Jodi), Alfred, Patrick (Lynne) and 10 grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his brothers John Leonard and Billy and by his two sisters Elizabeth and Patsy.
Edmonde Drapeau Lepage
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Edmonde Drapeau Lepage at the Westside Regional Medical Center Plantation Florida on October 14, 2013 at the age of 72.
Born in Balmoral she was the daughter of the late Yvon Drapeau and the late Yvonne Leclerc.
She is survived by a son Michel and his two children MacKenzie and Gabriel from Davie, Florida, a daughter Liette (Alex Douceet) of Campbelllton and their daughters Samantha and Talya of Moncton, one brother Harvey (Jeanine) of Charlo, seven sisters Eveline Auclair, Therese (Jim Bush), and Noella (Gilles McIntyre) of Charlo, Marcella (Jean-Eudes Pelletier), Claudine (Marcellin Lagace), Jacinthe (Roger Savoie) of Balmoral, Carmen (Robert Dumas) of McLeods, two aunts Beatrice (Eddy Ward) of St David QC, Jeanne (Howard Laviolette) of Charlo and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents, a brother Louis Hebert, a sister Marie Paule (Rheal Diotte), a brother-in-law Patrice Auclair and a nephew Herve Yvon Bernard.
Karl Chalmers Irvine
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Karl Chalmers Irvine who passed away at the age of 73 at the Hamilton General Hospital on November 9, 2013 surrounded by his loved ones. Karl was born in Campbellton on August 7, 1940 to the late Ronald A. Irvine and Alma Jane (Thompson) Irvine.
He is survived by his wife, Glenna Lois (Noble) Irvine, his children, John (Glenda), Ken (Tom), and Brian (Laurie), Karl was a devoted grandfather to 6 wonderful grandsons, Scott, Cody, Kyle, McKenzie, Mitchell and Travis. Missed greatly by his mom, Alma, his brother, Kerry (Brigette), sisters, Ona Irvine, Gail Chesser and Susan Caron (Jean Guy) sisters-in-law, Leta Thompson (Walter), Isabel Jenkins (Gerald), Norma Courty (Eugene) and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
He was predeceased by his father Ronald A. Irvine.
Marie Theresa (Renault) McKinnon
Theresa passed away at her home on November 17, 2013 at the age of 94. She was born in Campbellton on October 10, 1919. Theresa lived in Tide Head with her husband Everett who predeceased her on February 27, 2013.
She leaves to mourn daughters Darla (Owen) Firth, Judy Pickering, Sandra (Ron) Kuwabara, Debbie (Arnold), Germain and son Brian (Holly) McKinnon, nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren and two brothers Paul Renault and Jack (Charlotte) Renault.
She was predeceased by her daughter Brenda, grandson Adam Germain and sisters Alma Graham, Germain Adams and Frances Turnbull.
Theresa was Past Matron of Lady Alexander Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star. She was also a member of the Scotish Association of New Brunswick.
Mildred Dempsey
It is with broken hearts and great sadness we announce the passing of our dear mother Mildred May Dempsey of Jacquet River, Belledune which occurred on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst at the age of 89.
Born in Mitchell Settlement she was the daughter of James & Elizabeth Doyle. She is survived by her daughters Josephine Sally Snyder (Lawrence), Viola Roussy, Lois Dempsey (Leo), Darlene Goodine (Eugene), Marsha Godin (Albert), Heather Guitard (Mark), sons Robert (Theresa), Patrick (Shirley), Melford (Joyce), Reginald (Karen), Ronald (Marilyn), Donald (Brenda), Brent (Tanya), sons in-law Charles Snyder & Paul Roussy, daughter in-law Edwina Dempsey, 30 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren, brother William and sister Frances.
As heartbroken as it is to realize she is gone we now know she is at rest. Her suffering has come to an end. Today she will be reunited with her husband Malcolm, her son Reginald, Great Grandchildren Joshua & Landen, brothers Jock, Richard & Nicholas, sisters Viola Kennedy, & Irene Furlotte, daughter in-law Stella, sons in-law Donald Kent & Emile Cormier, along with other family members. Gathered together for eternal life in that great circle of love watching over us.
Mildred gave freely of her time and her fortune to her children. Although she came across as a serious person she was one of the most hilarious people one could have known. Over a lifetime she shared this great sense of humor with family and close friends. Throughout her life she endured many health upsets never once giving up the fight to live. She was always happy to see her children and proud of their achievements. Always ready with a smile and something to joke about.
Mildred loved to go shopping and was more interested in purchasing something for whomever accompanied her than for herself. She was always a giver---never a taker.
Her love of children run deep as did the love for family and friends.
Joyce Kierstead
Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on November 18 2013 at the age of 77, Mrs. Joyce Kierstead of Tide Head.
She leaves to mourn her brother Robert of Tide Head, her sisters Lois Crozier (Donald) of Moncton, Grace Fitzgerald (Milton) of Hamilton, Dawn Gallie of Glencoe and Brenda McKenna (Terry) of Fredericton. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her daughter Cynthia Kierstead her brothers Art Kierstead and Randy Mann, her sister Bonnie Banks, her mother Christine Irvine and her father Gordon Kierstead.
Georges Levesque
On the 16th of November 2013 at the age of 80, Georges Levesque passed away in San Diego California. He was the son of the late Anie Landry and the late Treffle Levesque from Charlo.
He leaves to mourn his two sons, Derek (Veronica) and Jonh both from San Diego. His sisters Lidwina from Ottawa Marie Ange (Polydore) from Balmoral. Bernadette (Yvon) from Charlo and Alvina (Marie Claire) from Pointe-a-la Croix. He is also survived by his sister in law Reina, Rollande and Ella Mae as well as may nephews and nieces.
He was predeceased by his brothers Marcel, Gerard-Guy and Arthur.
Sherran Margaret Craswell
Sherran Margaret Craswell, 67, passed away on September 30, 2013 at Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga, ON. She was born on January 18 1946 in Flatlands to Freeman and Isobel (Firth ) Thompson.
Sherran was predeceded in death by her husband Peter (1980) her father Freeman (1955), her mother Isobel (1974), her brother Keith (1970) and her brother Terrance (1978). She also lost a baby sister Reba (1941).
Sherran is survived by her partner of 25 years Paul Walsh of Missisauga ON, her son Kris (Lucille) of Brantford ON, and daughter Laurie (John) Martin of Winnipeg, Man; her brothers Walter (Leta) of Campbellton, Richard (Lita) of Glenlevit, Donald (Sandra) of Flatlands, Malcolm (Francine) of Campbellton Gordon (Bell) of Miramichi, and one sister Sandra Thompson of Mann's Mountain. She is also survived by two grandchildren (Matthew, Victoria) and several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren
Romeo Pelletier
November 9, 2013 at the Ontario Orillia Hospital at the age of 58, passed away Mr. Romeo Pelletier of Barrie, ON and formerly of Campbellton. He was the son of the late Diana (Ouellette) and the late Gordon W. Pelletier.
He will be sadly missed by his sisters and brothers Angela of Moncton, Ivan of Calgary, Jacqueline (Paul Thomas) of Moncton, Rhona of Campbellton, Diane (Danny Extell) of St John, Maxine (Gilles Selesse) of Glenwood, Darlene (Wayne Charlong) of Campbellton, Allan (Monique Levesque) of Cross Point and Charleen (Lucien Doiron) of Rimouski also by many nieces nephews and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, sisters, Rolla and Eileen.
Scotty "Billy" Hennigar
It is with deep sadness that the Hennigar family has to announce the death of their brother Scott (Billy) Hennigar.
Scott "Billy" Hennigar, 73, of Campbellton, passed away at his residence on November 18th, 2013 after a lengthy illness. Born on October 14th, 1940 in Squaw Cap to Vital and Lydia (Connors) Hennigar.
He is survived by his aunt Delia Rich of Bellville, ON, his six sisters: Peggy Lee Theriault (Gerard) of St Jean Baptiste, Shirley Lehto of Sudbury, ON, Betty Hennigar of Lorne, Frances Carrier of Campbellton, Elizabeth Tooher of Dalhousie and Dorothy Weedon of Keswick, ON and by many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his mother & father and only brother Donald.
Billy was a laborer at Chums and Co. for 20 years.
Billy will be sadly missed by his family and also by his friends at Savoie Care Home.
Donation can be given to the Dawsonville Cemetery fund or to a Charity of the donor’s choice.
