Arthur "Artie" Murray
Campbellton - George Robert Arthur Murray 74 of Campbellton passed away December 11th at the Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst. Born in Campbellton, he was the son of the late Wendell Alexander Murray and Willa May (Black) Murray.
He is survived by his wife Delilah May (Hardy) Murray, one daughter Shelley Wiseman (Joe) of Bathurst, two grandchildren Vanessa and Jordan Wiseman, both of Nova Scotia. He is also survived by two sisters Marge Caron (Victor ) of Campbellton and Wendy Thompson (George) of Sudbury, Ontario, as well as several nieces and a nephew.
Artie served in Germany with the 8th Canadian Hussars in the late 1950s early 1960s. Upon return to Canada, Artie was an employee of the City of Campbellton in various departmens until his retirement in 2005. He was a member of the local branch of the Royal Canadian Legion, and later served as a member of their executive.
David J. Hanley
It is with great sadness and regret that the family of David J. Hanley, 41, announce his unexpected passing on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 in Moncton. Born in Campbellton, David graduated from Sugarloaf Senior High and went on to attend St. Thomas University and Saint Mary’s University, having recently completed his Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety through the University of New Brunswick.
David is lovingly remembered by his parents, Fred and Marilyn (Nichol) Hanley of Moncton; and brothers, Bill (Heather) of Calgary, AB, and Jamie (Trish) of Riverview. David was a very special uncle to his nieces, Kaylee, Shannon and Katelyn and his nephew Judd; as well as his many aunts, uncles and cousins.
David was predeceased by his grandparents, Joe and Greta Hanley of Campbellton, Walter and Hazel Nichol of Tide Head; as well as his uncles, Boyd Nichol (Joanne) and Jimmy Nichol of Campbellton. David was respectful to the differences within us all, always there to provide support or a helping hand. He cherished beautiful summer days spent on the Restigouche River and making lasting memories with his family and friends.
His welcoming, affectionate smile and warm, soft heart will forever be remembered.
Omer Bujold
Omer Bujold passed away peacefully at the age of 89 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on Saturday, December 14, 2013. Born in Campbellton jo July 14, 1924, he was predeceased by his wife Charlotte (Lottie) Bujold and one son David Bujold.
He leaves behind one sister Bernadette Bernard, two daughters Linda Bujold, Charlotte MacDonald, son Peter Bujold, three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Marjorie T. Cabot
Falmouth, Maine & Tidehead, NB, Canada - Marjorie T. Cabot passed away peacefully December 10, 2013 at a Falmouth, Maine nursing facility surrounded by her loving family. Marjorie was born in Trenton, Nova Scotia, Canada on December 12, 1915 to Simon and Ida (Jardine) Snyder.
Marjorie always marveled at the way her husband Joseph taught her to enjoy the wonders of outdoor activities; she became an avid lover of curling and skiing well into her later years. Marjorie made walking one of her great pleasures - exploring the beautiful wonders of life. While she loved her home, she also did a fair amount of traveling all over the world. One of her hobbies was knitting; her specialties being fisherman's sweaters, afghans and others too numerous to mention. She fully enjoyed life and loved people.
Marjorie is survived by a son-in-law Eugene Putnam, three grandchildren Heather, Dean and Heidi and three great grandchildren, Kelly, Benjamin and Joseph. She is survived by two sisters, Margaret and Vivian. She was predeceased by her parents, her three brothers Brent, Walter and Carmen, her husband Joseph E. Cabot and her loving daughter, Susan C. Putnam.
In keeping with Marjorie's wishes, services will be private. Interment will be with her husband in Canada. Anne Michaud
Anne Michaud passed away peacefully on December 17, 2013 at the age of 70. She was a resident of Dorval, Quebec.
Anne was born in Edmundston, and was predeceased by her parents Denis Michaud and May Dunphy and sister Delores.
Anne is survived by her four beloved children, their spouses, and ten grandchildren, of whom she was very proud; Lynn Fitzpatrick (Clyde) and their children Liam and Lara; Lisa Choiniere-Harding and son James; Nancy Choiniere-Margi and her shiclren Jeremy, Isabella and Emily; and Mitchell Choiniere, his wife Lesley Everest, and their children Kayleigh, Misha, Oona and Finn.
Anne is also survived by her 11 brothers and sisters Robert Dunphy, Patricia Bresolin, Charlene Degrace, Doris Michaud, Denis Michaud, John Michaud, Henry Michaud, Patrick Michaud and James Michaud.
The family would like to extend their gratitude for the compassionate care provided by the Palliative Care Unit of the Lachine Hospital.
James Douglas Barron
It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our precious son and brother James douglas Barron (62) of Kamloops BC on December 12th 2013. Douglas was the eldest son of Elizabeth (Betty) Barron and the late Munro J. Barron of Riverview.
Born in Campbellton, Douglas attended schools there and in Riverview. After graduating he joined the RCMP where he proudly served his country for 32 1/2 years before retiring.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years Barbara Ann (Morse) daughter , Heather Lynn of Victoria BC, son, James Carter of Dawson Creek , BC, his mother Elizabeth (Betty) Barron, of Riverview, sister, Brenda Maxwell (David) of Barrington, NS, David of Parkindale, NB, William (Pamela) of Rothesay and Robert (Melodie) of Upper Coverdale and several nieces and nephews.
