Badly bitten about head when he fell near animal.

Ronald Alexander the four year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Alexander, was quite badly bitten by a large Newfoundland dog Sunday afternoon and we are glad to state, is now improving favorably toward recovery.

It appears that Ronald was visiting his cousin, Master Walter Alexander at the home of Mrs. A. E. Alexander Sunday afternoon. The two with the dog were on the verandah with no one else. They were running about when Ronald fell and the dog, which had never previously shown any disposition other than the most gentle towards children, violently attacked him, severely biting him about the head. Fortunately his face was down and was not injured.

The children's cries brought the family to the rescue, when the dog was taken away and later killed.

Dr. Price was summoned and dressed the wounds, and today the little fellow is resting comfortably and no serious results are anticipated.
