Grand Jury In the absence of John McNair, Nash Creek, a regularrly constituted grand jury of 11 members was sworn as follows: John O'Neill, foreman, Culligan; Charles McNeill, Dalhousie; Harry McLaughlin, Campbellton; Vaughan Cook River Charlo; Onezime Arseneault, Shannon Vale; Victor Belliveau, Campbellton; William H. LeBlanc, McKendrick; Herbert Hickey, Charlo Station; Albert Landry, Balmoral, G. A. McIntyre, Charlo Station; Dodo Bernard, Upper Charlo. Two bills of indictment were presented to the grand jury. Case of the King vs. Alphonse Daigle, charged with indecent assault, and the case of the King vs. J. A. Leopold Roy, charged with the theft of mails on the Gaspe lines. The grand jury retired at 11;30 a.m. The case of King vs. Alphonse Daigle, witnesses are Irene Guitard, Adelard Diotte, Gerald Culligan, Edgar Pitre and Mary Guitard. The case of King vs. J. A. leopold Roy, witnesses are J. W. Bruneau, Lucien Gagnon, J.F.D. Gosselin, Roger Roy, Lucien Larochelle, Leo Theberge, E.J. St Pierre. The civil docket includes a breach of building contract case, G. Mariani plaintiff vs. Edmond Roussy. J. T. Troy for the defendant; an action for car damages, Charles Cabot, plaintiff, vs. John W. Dickie, defendant, J. L. Fenderson for the plaintiff, H. F. G. Bridges for the defendant; William A. Resengreen, plaintiff, vs. W. S. Loggie, defendant H. S. Murray, Chatham, for the defendant and J. L. Fenderson for the paintiff, vs N.B. International paper Company for water damages; J. L. Fenderson for the plaintiff, Al J. Carr for the defendant.
