Town Seal Campbellton Lady Suggested Town "Seal" Design Many colorful stories may be connected with the official Seal of the Town of Campbellton, but there is at least one, which is not generally known. Back in the year 1888, when incorporation was being advocated and bitterly opposed, the late Thomas Kerr, who became the Town's first Clerk, had the task of selecting a suitable seal or coat-of-arms for the new Town. What Mr. Kerr had in mind is not definitely known, but the Two Books and Crown which adorns the crest of today was the suggestion of his daughter, Miss Clara Kerr, who resides here on Queen Street, with her brother, F. G. Kerr. No change in the original design of the Campbellton crest has yet been contemplated.
