Man frozen to death on Upsalquitch road
William Jefferies ' body was found by two young men.

A sad case

William Jefferies, aged 20 years, was found frozen on the road near Upsalquitch bridge Friday morning by two young men who were returning from the woods.

Jefferies formerly lived at Metis but removed to Upsalquitch with his parents some time ago.

Coroner Doherty was notified, and examined the body,. but as no marks of violence were found on it, an inquest was deemed unnecessary.

From the position of the body when found it is thought that the young fellow fell on the road being unable to get up, froze to death.
