My Restigouche River Run part Three
by: Irene Doyle

Photos of some of the abuse that the Restigouche River and its environment has had to endure in past years. I wish I could say "in the past" and not have to add, and unfortunately some of it is still happening today.

This truckload of garbage was found on Cross Point Island one weekend of partying is included by people with little less brains than the animals who live there at least they burry what they leave behind.

Does anyone recognise this ? Did it belong to you or a neighbour? It was found in the river.

More garbage found in and near the river.

More garbage found on one site.

Why break the beer bottles anyways? Are these children or grown-ups who are old enough to drink?

More garbage found on one site.

Now do you want to see damages to trees? WHY? And of course more garbage left behind on Cross Point Island.

Now this is not the work of a beaver but that of brainless humans. That tree will eventually die and this picture is only one of many who met the same faith.
