William E. Irvine
Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on December 31, 2008 at the age of 79. Born in Mann's Settlement on October 17, 1929, he was the son of the late Albert Irvine and the late Rhena Irvine. He leaves to mourn his wife Edna Mahoney, his daughters Patti Irvine of Campbellton, Shelley Irvine of Campbellton and Bonnie (Ed Turgeon) Irvine of Tide Head, his son Richard Irvine of Mann Settlement, his brothers Daryl (Barb) Irvine of Campbellton and Arnold Lyons of Campbellton. Also survived by seven grandchildren Jayme, Brianna, Zachary, Tanner, Liam, Jared and Avery, several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by two sisters Maxine and Lorna, one brother Wayne. The funeral service was held from Maher's Funeral Chapel Campbellton on Monday January 5th at 2pm, Reverend Phillips officiating. Interment at Mann's Settlement Cemetery this spring. Pallbearers were Russie Irvine Jr., Jackie Lyons, Don Irvine, Kevin McNaughton, Gary Irvine and Jean-Guy Thériault. Honorary Pallbearers were Bertie Irvine, Graydon Irvine Sr., Graydon Irvine Jr., Arlene Thompkins, Ronald Dubé, Vimy Lyons, Carl Mann and Timmy Irvine. Wallace Guitard
The death of Wallace Guitard of Belledune occured at the Bathurst Regional Hospital Monday, December 29, 2008 at the age of 82. Born in Belledune he was the son of the late Joesph Guitard and the late Gladys (Hare). He is survived by his wife Theresa; daughters Linda Haskin (Steve) of Orillia, Susan Richards (Maurice Lavigne) of Belledune, Sally Thompson (Joseph Legacy) of Black Point; son Joseph (Krista) of Hamilton, Ontario, nine grandchilren and nine great-grand children. Wallace was also survived by his brother Ricky and sister Edna. By his request there will be no funeral service. Kathleen LaPointe
The death of Kathleen Lapointe of Jacquet River occured at the Dalhousie Nursing Home, Monday, Dec 29, 2008 at the age of 67. Born in Jacquet River, she was the daughter of the late Charles Pitre and the late Pearl Marie Daigle. She is survived by her husband Chester; sons Daren (Vera) of Jacquet River, Chester (Wanda) of Jacquet River; daughters Linda Devereaux (Bobby) of Brampton, Lisa LaPointe (Donald Hickey) of Jacquet River, seven grandchildren, as well as her brothers Manny, Gordon and Norman and sisters Genevieve Daigle and Bernadine Legacy. Kathleen was pre-deceased by a son Michael and brother Ralph Guitard. Her funeral was held from St. Gabriel'sChurch, Jacquet River, Wednesday Dec 31, 2008, officiated by Father David Ferguson. Pallbearers were Gordon Legacy, Keith Legacy, Ralph Guitard, Greg Driscoll, Mike LaPointe & Dean Guitard. Joyce Doiron
Joyce Doiron (Ward) of Dalhousie, beloved wife of the late Raymond Doiron passed away peacefully at the age of 73 on December 27, 2008 at her residence at the Dalhousie Nursing Home. She was cared for by the most loving and caring staff a family could ask for. Born in New Carlisle, QC on September 11, 1935, she was the daughter of the late William Ward and the late Mildred (Renouf) Ward. Sweet, loving mother of Michael of Nova Scotia, Jeannette (Michael) of Ottawa, Donald (Cindy) of Dalhousie, Julie of Ottawa, Darren (Stella) Sarnia, Ontario and Louise (Stephane) of East Gore, NS. Dear grandma of Shawna, Mikey, Matthew, Michelle, Kyle, Holly, Emily, Melissa and Eric. Survived by her sisters Elva, Marion, Linda and her brother Clarence, several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sisters Lillian, Olive, Willa and brother Ralph. The funeral mass was held from St. John Bosco Church Dalhousie on Tuesday December 30th at 11am, Father Bill Arseneault officiating. As expressions of sympathy, Memorial Donations to the Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated by the family in memory of Joyce. Jerry Guitard
The death of Jerry Guitard of Eel River Crossing occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Monday, Dec. 29, 2008, at the age of 70. Born in Belledune he was the son of the late Wilfrid Guitard and the late Katherine Young. He is survived by his wife Marie (Vienneau), sons Mark (Olive Doiron) of Tracadie, Guy (Bridget Oland) of Rothesay as well as his grandchildren Niko, Quincy, Amelia. His funeral was held from Holy Trinity Church, Eel River Crossing, Saturday January 3rd 2009, officiated by Father Landry, with burial to take place in the parish cemetery in the spring. Funeral arrangments were in the care of MacMillans Funeral Home, Black Point.
Guy LeClair
The death of Guy LeClair occured at his residence December 26th, 2008 at the age of 73. Born in Charlo, he was the son of the late Arthur LeClair and the late Clara (Theriault). He is survived by his wife Exilda (Mallais), his sons Claude (Edna) of Charlo, Albert of Charlo, Marc of Charlo, daughter Monique LeClair (Jean Guy Ouelette) of Eel River Crossing, nine grandchildren, one great grandchild, and a brother Denis. He was predeceased by his brothers Gerald, Jean Paul, Omer, and Raymond. His funeral was held from St. Francis Xavier Church in Charlo Tuesday, Dec 30, 2008. For those wishing to make donations in memory of Guy, the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. Francois LePage 1908 - 2008
At the Campbellton Village Nursing Home on December 20, 2008, Francois LePage passed away at age 100 years and 7 months, husband of late Marie Pamela Bernard. He was the son of the late Aurele LePage and late Elise Drapeau. He will be sadly missed by his children: Corinne (Gerard Albert) of Campbellton, Dorique (Donna) of Campbellton and Aurele (Therese) of Campbellton, his 16 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren with two more on the way; his brother Germain (Jeannette) of Ontario and his sister Florinne (Honore Levesque) of Balmoral, also by his daughters-in-law, Gisele and Geraldine. He was predeceased by his wife, his parents, his 2 sons: Armel and Jean, and by many brothers and sisters. The funeral was held on December 23, 2008 at the Our Lady of Snows Church, Campbellton, and celebrated by Father Romeo Morrison with burial in the parish cemetery in the spring. At the Campbellton Regional Hospital on Monday, December 29, 2008, passed away Donna Mihelic of Campbellton at the age of 58, wife of late Yvon Mihelic. She was the daughter of late Alma (Irvine) and late Robert MacDonald. She will be sadly missed by her son, Joseph Mihelic of Campbellton; her sisters and brothers: Roberta MacDonald of Escuminac, Bernice MacDonald (Howard) of Eel River Bar, Stafford (Heidi) of Nova Scotia, Sadie Hayes of Ontario, Jessie Dubé of Cross Point, Maxine MacDonald (Gilles) of Escuminac, Kirk (Maureen) of Charlo, Reamona MacDonald (Richard) of Cross Point and Paula MacDonald of Alberta. She will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her parents and a sister, Holly Babe. The funeral service was held on January 2, 2009 at Savoie Funeral Chapel, Campbellton and celebrated by Rev. Olive Ann Archibald with burial in the Escuminac cemetery in the spring. The death of Austin Lavigne of Bathurst, and formerly of Lorne, occured at the Bathurst Regional Hospital Monday, Dec 22, 2008, age 72. Born in Lorne, he was the son of the late Edward Lavigne & the late Regina (Carrier). He is survived by his brothers; Alphonse, Alphie and Valmond; his sisters Leona Landry, Emelia McGregor, Valerie Brimsacle, Lorraine Carrier, Yvonne Hickey, Adeline Driscoll; as well as his girlfriend Agnes Comeau. He was pre-deceased by his brothers Thomas and John. His funeral will be held from St. Maria Goretti Church, Lorne, Saturday, Jan.10, 2009 at 11am. The death of Alphee Doucet of Charlo occured at the Campbellton Regional Hospital Tuesday at the age of 84. Born in Nash Creek,he was the son of the late Hector Doucet and the late Mary(Landry). He is survived by his daughters: Marcella Young(Tom) of Shubenacadie, Shelley Aube (Clarence) of Charlo, Lynn Roy (Richard) of Charlo, Paula Doucet of Charlo, Rachel Doucet of Dalhousie; grandchildren Trevor,Michael and Sean as well as his brothers: Arthur and George; sisters Marie McNair, Eileen Shea, Ida Roy, Irma Sutton & Carmel Roy. Alphee was pre-deceased by his wife Cora (LeBlanc), brothers Pat, Adrian and Joe, as well as his sister Theresa Norton. His funeral was held from St. Joseph Church, Nash Creek, Saturday, Dec.27, 2008, officiated by Father David Ferguson.
