Charlotte Guitard
The death of Charlotte Guitard of Bathurst and formerly of Belledune occurred at the Bathurst Regional Hospital Wednesday, December 23, 2010 at the age of 81. Born in Jacquet River she was the daughter of the late Henry Doyle and the late Philomene (Binet)
Charlotte loved family, music and making people smile.
She is survived by her sons Maxwell (Line) of Bathurst, Robert (Darlene) of Bathurst, and daughter Janette Guitard of Bathurst, eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Charlotte was also survied by her sisters Edna Russell, Theresa Guitard, Sally Hickey, Anne Guitard, Betty Arseneault, Patricia Doucet as well as her brothers Patrick, Myles, Leslie, Gabriel and Paul. She was predeceased by her husband Dennis and her daughter Diane.
Pallbearers were Danny LaPointe, Rick Doucet, Rick Guitard, Gabriel, Paul and Pat Doyle.
Gary William MacKay
1946-2010
It is with profound sadness the family announces the passing of Gary William MacKay. Gary passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2010, at approximately 11;45 p.m. at the 100 Mile District and General Hospital, at the age of 64 years, following a long battle with cancer.
Gary will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by his wife Avis, sisters Judy MacKay, Sandra MacKay (Allan), and niece Stephanie MacKay, Uncle Jack, Aunt Dina (Kathy and Khristopher), aunt Gayle (Stephen, Terri and Nicole) (Gary, Debbie and Katherine), Aunt Audrey (Carol Anne, Marvin, Margaret and David); cousins Carol (Heather) Wayne (Mary) (Tommy, Mackenzie and Brittany) and by his many relatives and friends in NB, ON, and BC.
He was predeceased by his mother Margaret (Lordon) father Frank Mackay, grandparents, (Danny and Ina Lordon) uncle Bill, Aunt Helen, Uncle Jim, Uncle Marvin, Uncle Erb and Uncle Wayne.
Gary was born in Toronto on September 6, 1946; he later moved to and was raised in NB by his beloved grandmother Ina Faye Lordon, and Danny Lordon. He left NB after graduation to work as an elextrician in Toronto and remained there for a few years, and then moved to Vancouver, BC where he and Avis lived and worked. Gary and Avis left Vancouver to retire in the Caribou, at 70 Miles House and they remained there until his passing.
He had a great sense of humor; he loved to tease people, especially his sister Sandra, and he was always ready to help out those in need. Gary was the happiest hwn eh surrouned by nature, fishing and hunting. Gary and Avis especially enjoyed exploring northern BC., and they shared many wonderful trips together.
The family would like to thank the staff and medial team for their support and kindness, and a special thank you to his family physician Dr. Lapin. Gary's last wishes were to be remember as he was , that he be cremated and be no funeral.
Sister Marie Cloake
Sister Marie Cloake, in religion, Sr., Marie Immaculata , f.j., passed away on Friday December 31, 2010 at Monarch Hall, Riverview, NB at the age of 94. She was in the 76th year of her religious profession. She was born in Lower River Inhabitant, NS, the daughter of the late John William Cloake, of River Hebert, NS and of the late Annie Susan McNamara Malden, Mass., USA.
Besides her religious family, she is survived by one sister-in-law, Helen Cloake, of Port Hawkesbury, NS. She is also survived by one nephew, Gillis Cloake, and by one niece Francis Warner.
Sister Marie Cloake spent most of her life as a teacher. In fact she spent 39 years in the classroom. She taught in Dalhousie and Belledune. New Brunswick and in Arichat, Cheticamp and L'Ardoise in Nova Scotia. She also worked for several years as a secretary in the parishes of Fredericton, Arichat and D'Escousse, NS. Finally, she did volunteer work at MacGillivray Guest Home, in Sydney, NS, and in the parish of Collette, NB.
William McGregor
The death of William McGregor of Jacquet River occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital Sunday, December 19th, 2010, at the age of 87. Born in Jacquet River, he was the son of the late Charles McGregor and Harriet (Hickey)
He is survived by his sons Michael (Darlene) of Jacquet River and Keven of Jacquet River. Daughters Karen Roy (Daniel) of Belledune, and Susan McGregor (Ron Hickey) of Doyleville. He is also survived by his six grandchildren, Christopher, Candice, Robyn, Curtis, Cadie, and Cody. William was predeceased by his wife Patricia (Firlotte), brothers Donald, Malcom, Austin, Alfred, and Jim as well as his sisters Mary and Barbara.
