John Hamilton

The death of John Hamilton of Charlo occurred suddenly at his residence on Monday March 7, 2011 at the age of 70. Born in Blackland, he was the son of the late Ion Hamilton and the late Grace (Alexander)

He was employed at the mill in Dalhousie for 36 years and was also a volunteer fireman with the Charlo Fire Department.

John is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years Theresa (Goulette) , children David (Jo) of Vancouver, Michael (Suzie) of Moncton, Rachel Hamilton (David) of Ottawa, Shawn of Moncton granddaughter Gaby, grandsons Ryan and Cole as well as two great granddaughters. He is also survived by his brother Ian, and sisters Muriel Blake, Annie Black Isabelle DesRochers and Faye Warr.

Patrick Bujold

Mr Patrick Bujold of St-Arthur, 89, passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital, on Friday, March 4, 2011. He was the husband of late Eva Gallant and the son of the late Pamela (Nee; Bourdages) and the late Raymond Bujold.

He will also be sadly missed by his children: Johnny Gallant (Karen) of Caledon, Ontario and Allan Gallant (Margaret Leblanc) of Paris France, a exceptional grandfather to Natalie and Blaise; his sister: Corinne Chouinard of Kapuskasing, ON and Celine Thomas of Campbellton; his brothers; Lucien (Annette) and Xavier (Louisette) of St Arthur and several nieces and many friends.

He was predeceased by his wife Eva, his parents, his sister Clarisse and brothers; Romeo, Ernest, Elide and Maurice.

Mary Bertin

The death of Mary Bertin occurred at the Dalhousie Nursing Home Friday March 4, 2011 at the age of 93. Born in Nash Creek, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Hickey and the late Elizabeth (Carrier)

She is survived by her daughters Frances Duplessis of Sunnyside, Joan Bertin of Toronto: son Norman (Alice) of Bathurst; 14 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren as well as her sisters Helen, Olive, Betty and brother Thomas.

She was predeceased by her husband Arthur and son Thomas.

Pallbearers were Wallace LaPointe, Roger, Eugene and Alfred Duplessis.

Joseph Leo "Shiner" Thompson

The death of Joseph Leo "Shiner" Thompson formerly of Campbellton, occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on February 27, 2011 after a brief illness.

He was 79 years of age and until recently resided in Sault-Saint-Marie, ON. He waws a retired lineman and construction worker.

He was the son of David and Isabel Firth Thompson also of Campbellton. He was also preceded by his brothers William, James, Michael, Thomas, David and Jack and by his sisters Mildred , Ann, Grace and Joan.

He is survived by his brother George of Toronto, sisters Coleen and Queenie also of Toronto and Patricia of Fredericton.

Pallbearers were Albert, Isabelle, Jessica and Joshua Cleveland, Donna Thompson and Lynn Bailey.

Margaret Ann Fontaine

Passed away at the Palliative care unit in Dalhousie on March 4, 2011 at the age of 73, Mrs. Margaret Ann Fontaine. Born in Dalhousie on July 25, 1937, she was the daughter of late John Audfroid and the late Margaret Gould. She worked as a teacher for 25 years.

She leaves to mourn her sons Edward Fontaine from Dalhousie and Mike Fontaine (Danie), her brother Joseph (Googsie) Audfroid (Cora), her sister Ruby Fournier, sister-in-law Yvette Lapointe and Kay Audfroid. Also survived by two grandchildren Keegan and Keston, many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her husband Lionel Fontaine, brother Ronald (Tuddy) Audfroid.

Mary Granger (Murray) Harris

The death of Mary Granger (Murray) Harris, age 94, occurred on Tuesday, March 1, 2011, at the Campbellton Village Nursing Home surrounded by her family. Born in Robinsonville, NB, on March 9, 1916 she was the daughter of the late Donald Murray and the late Jemina (Murray) Thomas.

She is survived by her brother Lyman (Vivian) Murray of Robinsonville, sister-in-law Elizabeth (late John) Murray of Robinsonville and Verna (late Harvey) Murray of Tide Head. She leaves to mourn her children Elaine (late Wendell) Sharpe of Robinsonville, Donald (Lois) Harris of Campbellton, Rita (late Terry) Hilts of New Market, ON, Murray Harris of Toronto, ON, Lois (Lorne) Mann of Campbellton and Irma (Raymond) MacNair of Charlo, Grammie will be lovingly remembered by sixteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandhildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She will also be missed by all her friends and the staff at the Campbellton Village Nursing Home.

She was predeceased by her husband James Alexander Harris, by her brothers Austin Murray, Chester Murray, Harvey Murray, Robert Murray and her two sisters Hattie Firth and Roberta Firth.

Pallbearers were Wade Sharpe, Dale MacNair, Ken Murray, Maxwell Firth, Benjamin Murray and David Boudreau.

Honorary Pallbearers were her granddaughters Judy Turgeon, Gail Thompson, Beverly Hamilton, Donna Fugere, Susan Mann, Brenda parker and Jill Parker.
