Bertha Normandeau

At the Campbellton Regional Hospital on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at the age of 78, have passed away Mrs Berta Normandeau of Campbellton, wife of Mr. Gerard Normandeau. She was the daughter of the late Rose Tardif and late Alexandre Thibodeau.

Besides her husband Gerard, she will be sadly missed by her children Therese (Roy Stewart) of Miramichi, Bernadette (Jacques Duquette) of Longueuil, Linda (Gaston Laplante) of Longueuil, Gisele (Clement DeLaat) of Richelieu, Claudette (Denise Grenier) of Verdun and Jacques (Nancy Ingersol) of Fredericton; by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her sister Aurelie Blaquiere of Atholville and also by many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was predeceased by her sons Jacques and Lionel and by many sisters and brothers.

Gilbert "Bébert" Arseneault

At his residence in St Arthur on Monday March 28, 2011 at the age of 53, have passed away Gilbert "Bébert" Arseneault of St Arthur, spouse of Mona Fitzgerald. He was the son of the late Romeo Arseneault and late Raymonde LeBlanc.

Besides his spouse, Mona of St Arthur, he will be sadly missed by three dogs, Rocky, Pepper, and Maya; his mother-in-law Mrs Jeanne d'Arc Fitzgerald of St Arthur, his sisters; Rosanne Arseneault of Campbellton, Micheline Whalen (Michael) of Eel River Crossing, Lise Arseneault of Eel River Crossing, Paula Arseneault (Luc Losier) of St Arthur, his brothers Michel Arseneault (Rita) of Tide Head & Robert (Suzanne) of Atholville and by many nieces, nephews, members of the Fitzgerald's family and friends.

He was predeceased by his parens and his sister Pauline.

Gabrielle Stevens

Gabrielle Stevens wife of the late Albert Stevens, passed away on March 29, 2011 at the age of 92.

She is survied by five sons Patrick (Geraldine), Hector, John (Jeannine), Marcel (Kathleen), Vincent (Yolande) and one daughter Jeannine (Rene) Albert. She also leaves to mourn 14 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Gabrielle was a member of the C.W.L. and the Dalhousie golden Age Club.

Jacques Savoie

Jacques Savoie, 61, formerly from Campbellton, passed away suddenly February 22nd while on vacation in Thailand.

He was a long time resident of Vancouver and was involved for many years with a Senior's Residence assiting patients.

He is predeceased by his parents, Wilfred Jr. (Coune) and Eva Savoie and a brother Ronald of N.S.

He leaves to mourn a sister Claudette Pickard (Robert) of Moncton, a brother Jean Marc (Albertine) of Matapedia QC and several nephews and nieces.

Ruth Adams (nee Worrell)

The death of Mrs. Ruth Adams, wife of the late Stuart (Tui) Arnold Adams occurred on March 29, 2011 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital. Born in Campbellton, NB on May 30, 1926 she was the daughter of the late Robert William Linton Worrell and Mildred Stevens Targett.

She is survived by her daughters Julie (Alexander d.) McDonald of Rusticoville, PEI, Janice (Michel) Guitard of Glencoe, and Jane of Campbellton, her sons Stuart (Margaret) Adams of Scarborough, grandchildren and great-grandchildren Robert McDonald, Grace (||kim)Hincer, Reid McDonald, Stuart (Mary) and Aedan, Taylor and Charlotte Adams, Brendan (Kelly) and Kandra Adams, Geofrey (Roxanne) and Katerie Guitard, Pamela (Jason) Byer, David Guitard and Anthony Guitard; her sisters Beatrice (Samuel d.) Douglass of Del Rio, Texas and Rachel (Robert) Fitzgerald of Lions Head ON and many nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her parents, husband Stuart, sisters Robina (Warren d.) Day, Jean (Arthur d.) Lovelace, Elsie (Jean d.) Marais, Phyllis Worrell, Muriel (Rowland d.) Fraser, brothers Gerald (Irene) Worrell and James (Ruth) Worrell.

Gerald McIntyre

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on March 25, 2011 at the age of 73, Mr Gerald "Joe" McIntyre. Born in Eel River Crossing on December 27, 1937, he was the son of the late George McIntyre and Florentine Malley.

He will be sadly missed by his wife Donna (Burris) McIntyre, his daughter Shelley (Jay), his son Kevin (Lorraine), two brothers Alfred and Ralph (Theresa) McIntyre, three sisters Adline Main, Irene Smith and Georgette (Fortin) Baker. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by one brother Wilfred.

Mary O'Keefe

Marie Bridget Isabella O'Keefe passed away peacefully in Montreal with her family by her side Sunday April 3, 2011 at the age of 90.

Predeceased by her parents Hugh and Opal (Keays) O'Keeffe, her husband Charles Mahoney, sons Ronald (Irene Geraghty) and Brian, and her five brothers Wallace, Daniel, Arthur, Hugh (Skip) and Frank.

She leaves to mourn her children Carol, Daniel, Sharon (Ralph McCully), and Tim (Teena Paynter). She will be sadly missed by her loving grandchildren: Jennifer (Alex Beauregard), Stephanie (Jacques Lurette), Sean (Daniele Vautour), Angela, Shannon, Christopher (Heather McIlroy) Kilby, Tara (Jarrod Sharman) Aaron (Roxanne Lister), Andrew (Stephanie Boutillier), Leslie (Jeffrey Nichols), Matthew, Shane (Alison McCart), Caroline (Joe Gruen), Amaya and Talia as well as her 19 great grandchildren; Olivia, Zachary, Jacob, Georgia, Megan, Kaitlin, Emma (McCully), Benjamin, Sophie, Charlotte, Riley, Aaden, Colten, Calvin, Emma (Gruen) Hunter, Evan, Nolan and Simon.

Adele Ange (Power) Chiasson

Adele Marie Ange Chiasson (Adele) of Dalhousie passed away at the Dalhousie Palliative Care Unit on Friday April 1st after a brief illness at the age of 77.

Born in St Alexis de Matapedia QC on September 1, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Adolphe Power and the late Albertine Martin of Atholville.

Adele has had a long and fruitful career in teaching at both the St Jean Bosco and the Academie Notre Dame where she also was at times principal and vice-principal.

While being a loving and devoted spouse and mother, Adele found both success and contentment in her numerous activities. She was an active member of the Association of retired teachers (ACELF) and of the UTAR (Universite du 3ieme Age) where she coached a group of seniour citizens in intellectual activities. She was also a member of the Senior Citizens Club where she particularly enjoyed a good game of bridge. Adele had numerous friends which she enjoyed visiting and receiving at her home. There was a particular group of 12, dear to her heart. They were called "Les Rigoleuses", and met once a month. She often talked about them.

She is survived by her husband Robert Chiasson and her two sons Louis (Pauline Belzile) of Memramcook, and Michel of Dalhousie; her five sisters; Marie Ange (Robert Poirier) and Daisy (John Jardine) of Moncton, Rose Ange (Marcel Aube) of Causapscal QC; Bertha Ange (Frank Morrissey) of Campbellton; Edith (Bernard Ruest) of Ottawa and by several brothers and sisters-in-law, uncles and aunts, nieces and nephews.
