Jeanne Goulette

The death of Jeanne Goulette occurred at the Dalhousie Nursing Home on the 16th of May at the age of 88. Jeanne was born in Charlo and was the daughter of Stella and Eugene McIntyre.

She is predeceased by her husband Gerald Goulette, four brothers Gerald, Raymond, Hebert and Simon McIntyre and by two sisters Juliette Licari and Rose Marie Mazzamo.

She is survived by three sisters Laurence Levesque, Lucille McNair of Charlo and Simonne Parker of Eel River. She is also survived by two brothers Joseph McIntyre of Charlo and Leo Paul McIntyre of Boucherville, QC.

Claire Essiembre

The death of Claire Essiembre, 93, occurred on Sunday, May 15, 2010 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital. She was born to the late Marie Celesse and Auguste Nadeau and was predeceased by her husband Jean Essiembre.

Mrs. Essiembre was a former employee of the Province of NB Mental Health Services.

She is survived by two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Irene Essiembre of Campbellton, NB and Mrs Alive Lecouffe of Moncton, NB, and by several nieces and nephews.

Charlotte Devereaux

The death of Charlotte devereaux of Jacquet River occurred at her residence on Thursday May 12, 2011 at the age of 98. Born in Culligan, she was the daughhter of the late Arthur Culligan and the late Catherine (Daley)

She is survived by her daughters Joan Lourensse (Richard) of Fredericton, Judy Devereaux of Jacquet River, five grandchildren, Joan's son DAvid, Neil and John as well as Brian's sons Grant and Michael. She is also survived by her eight great-grandchildren, brother George and sister Vera Devereaux.

She was predeceased by her husband Arnold, son Brian, daughter Catherine, brothers Alvin, Theo, infant brother Arthur, sisters; infant Francie, Amelda, Isabel and Bernadette.

Sr Therese Robichaud

Sr. Therese Robichaud in religion, Sr. Marie Antoine de Jesus, f.j.. passed away on May 16, 2011, at Monarch Hall in Riverview, NB at the age of 80. She was in the 59th year of her religious profession. She was born in Dalhousie, NB, the daughter of the late Urbain Robichaud of St Ignace and of the late Melanie Comeau of St Louis de Kent, NB.

Besides her religious family, she is survived by two sisters; Rorina Poirier of Dalhousie, and Delia Fairbairn, of Corunna, ON; two brothers; Albert and Leo Paul, both of Dalhousie, as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by one sister and four brothers.

Sister Therese spent the first 16 years of her religious life as a teaqcher, in Cheticamp, Arichat, Saulnierville and Riviere Bourgeois, NS; and in Dundee and Barachois, NB. Then from 1968 to 1994, she worked as a missionary at first in Dominica, but after and mostly in Columbia where she worked for 17 years. Finally, from 1995 to 2006, she did pastoral work especially in St Stephen, NB. From 2006 on, she had to move to the infirmary. In 2010 she was transferred with her sisters to Monarch Hall, in Riverview. On Monday, May 16, she passed away during her sleep around the noon hour.

Mary Cecilia Hanley Savoy
1925-2011

The death of Mary Cecilia Hanley Savoy of Dalhousie occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital, Sunday May 15, 2011 at the age of 85. Born in Nelson Miramichyi, she was the daughter of the late Jack Hanley and the late Mildred King.

She was predeceased by her husband Walter Savoy.

Cecilia is survived by her sons Fred Savoy (Linda) of Fredericton, and Walter Savoy Jr. (Jocelyne) of Dalhousie and her daughterts - Judy Savoie of Dalhousie, Bonny Harding of Dalhousie. She was also survived by her 13 graqndchildren, her 15 great grandchildren , her six sisters and two brothers.

Cecilia was a very active beautiful woman who consumed her days with her love of bowling and bingo. She found so much happiness in her backyard through her love of flowers, birds and the children's laughter. She brought so much joy and happiness to all who had the chance to cross her path.

Theresa Hutchinson

Theresa Hutchinson, wife of the late Willard Hutchinson passed away peacefully at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on Friday May 13, 2011, following a brief illness.

Born in Campbellton, on November 8, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Gabriel Manuel and Adelia Audet. She was a lifelong resident of this City.

She is survived by her four children, sons Steven (Lise Deschenes) of Campbellton, DAvid of Montreal, and daughters Janet (Peter Wright) of Riverview and Dawn of Doaktown. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Karen and Jill Wright of Calgary, Alberta, Ken and Kelly Robinson of Doaktown and two great grandchildren, Raia Gertridge and Oliver MacLeod of Calgary. She is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and her husband she was predeceased by her two brothers Randy and Maurice and her sisters Rita and Irene Manuel, Corinne Berthelot, Eileen Caron and Olga Savoy.

She is survived by a sister-in-law, Margaret Manuel of Quebec City. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Burns (Chuck) Wallace Keirstead

OGDEN; Burns Wallace Keirstead died at home surrounded by his loved ones on May 9, 2011. Chuch was born April 20, 1939 in Campbellton, to Wallace James and Annie Erickson.

Chuch graduated from Campbellton High School. After graduation, he worked as a laborer until he moved to Niagara Falls, New York at the age of 21 and enlisted in the US Air Force. After basic training, he was schooled in electronics. Chuch was a graduate of Weber State College.

Key to his joining the Air Force, was a program where he was granted American citizenship as part of his enlistment. Serving his country was always a source of pride. Chuck became an American citizen on March 9, 1966.

Chuck had a distinguished career as a Principle Scientist with Thiokol. He was a tool designer for the Astromat Division of Thiokol and in the mid-seventies; he became a Tooling Engineer for the Space Shuttle program. His work took him from Antarctica to Alaska and parts in between. He retired in October 2009 with 45-years service.

Chuch married his eternal sweetheart on May 7, 2010. He was baptised and confirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on June 12, 2010.

Chuch is survived by his loving wife Laura, a daughter Lisa Marie Allan (Frank); three stepchildren Brian Burton, Dawna Dinsdale (Clint), and Wayne Glass, and a grandson Christopher Allen.

His parents and sisters Wynona, and Ariel, preceded him in death.

Joseph L. "Rudy" Carter

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on May 14, 2011 at the age of 78, Mr. Joseph L. "Rudy" Carter. Born in Dalhousie on April 19, 1933, he was the son of the late Allan Carter and the late Anastasie Beaudry.

He leaves to mourn his son Chris Carter (Alda) of Woodbridge ON, brother Kenneth Carter (Geraldine) Campbellton, sister Dorothy Cyr of Dalhousie. Also survived by a grandchild Kyle Carter of Victora BC, many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his wife Dawn MacGarvie.

Catherine Eva White

Catherine Eva White of Atholville and formerly of Benjamin River passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on April 26th at the age of 96. She was born in Benjamin River on December 14, 1914 and was the daughter of the late William White and Elizabeth Gagne. She was postmistress of the Benjamin River post office for several years.

She is survived by one sister Marinba of Campbellton, three brothers Eugene of Kitchener, Ont. William (Hilda) of Moncton , and Hugh (Cora) of Campbellton, several neieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by three brothers Joseph, Hubert and Louis, three sisters Lucy, Cecile & Annie.

Sylvia Babin

At the Bathurst Chaleur Regional Hospital on Thursday May 12, 2011 at the age of 81, have passed away Mrs Sylvia Babin of Eel River Crossing, wife of late Wilfred Babin.l Born in Dalhousie, she was the daughter of the late Ida McIntyre and the late Ferdinand Levesque.

She will be sadly missed by her sons; Ronald (Dorine Landry), Raymond (Gisele Parise) and Patrice (Guylaine Bouchard) all of Eel River Crossing her grandchildren; Jimmy Mylene Marie Pier, Nadia and Roch; her sister Carmen Levesque of Ile Perrot; her brothers; Armel (Sylvia Drapeau) of Eel River Crossing, florent (Diana Landry) of Dundee and Victor (Yolande Belanger) of Dundee also by many members of the Babin family, nieces, nephews and friends.

She was predeceased by her husband Wilfred anbd her parents.
