Christine Janet Sillars Gregoire

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on January 4, 2011 at the age of 85. Mrs Christina Janet Sillars Gregoire of Tide Head. Born in Campbellton on March 1, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Graham Sillars and the late Margaret Duncan.

She is survived by her daughter Eileen (Ken) Targett of Summerside, PEI, and Donna (Randy) Wysote of Listuguj, QC., her grandchildren, Matthew (Kate) Targett of Kentville, NS., Lori Anne (Jason) Denomme of Stratford, PEI, and Christopher (Mitch) Wysote of Elgin, QC., her great-grandchildren, Abbie, Lily and Charlie Targett and Jacob Denomme and her sister Jean Sillars of Campbellton. She is also survived by sisters and brothers-in-law and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her mother and father she was predeceased by her husband, Bliss Gregoire, her step-father Neil Adams and one brother Donald Sillars.

Johnny Loiselle
1946-2010

Mr John Peter Loisel (Johnny) of Campbellton, 64, passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital, on Wednesday, January 5, 2011. He was the son of the late Therese (nee; Duguay) and the late Joseph Israel Oiselle.

He will be sadly missed by his sons; Dean Loisel (Margie) and her daughters, Morgan and Sydney & Shawn Loisel (Stephanie) and their son Lucas; his sisters; Jacqueline Loisel of Montreal, Louise Thomas (Ernest) of Cross Point, Germaine Savoie of Campbellton & Corinne Boudreau (Yvon) of Dalhousie; his brothers; Ernest Loisel (Lise) of Montreal & Claude Babineau (Michelle) of Dieppe and by several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his sister Yvonne Keays Oiselle.

Rev. Donald Fairweather

The death of Reverend Donald Fairweather occurred at the Palliative Care Unit of the St Joseph Community Health Center, Dalhousie, on January 3, 2011 at the age of 60. Born in Fergus, Ontario, he was the son of the late Morley Fairweather and the late Gertrude (Glenfield) Fairweather.

After graduating from High School in Elora, Ontario. Rev. Don pursued a career in Nursing, graduating from the Owen Sound Regional School of Nursing in 1972. Later he went on to become a United Church minister graduating from Queen's Theological College in 1981 and ordained by the United Church of Canada the same year. Rev. Don ministered in various locations throughout his thirty-year ministry including Manitoba, various locations in Ontario, coming to the New Mills and Dalhousie area in northern NB in 2005.

Complementing his love of ministry, Rev. Don had a love of nature and what he referred to as all God's creatures. He grew a variety of plants and flowers that from time to time raised money for the United Church Mission and Service Fund. He was particularly fond of living near the water, which inclued his cottage area in Ontario and his adopted Bay of Chaleur. He had a life-long devotion to dogs and birds sharing his life with many over the years and leaving behind his beloved three dogs, Lincoln, Chaleur, Ringo and a parrot Jagoe.

Don is survived by his brother Ralph (Lorraine) of Elora, ON, nieces; Donna, Lorraine, Bev, Marianne, nephews, Bill, Ken and Robert as well as his great nieces and nephews.

Rodney Arseneau

The death of Rodney Arseneau of Rose's Special Care Home, Dalhousie, occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital Sunday, January 2, 2011 at the age of 67. Born in England and growing up in the Miramichi, he was the son of the late Fidele Arseneau and the late Florence (Carpenter).

Rodney is survied by his sister Brenda Gauthier (Eugene) of Jacquet River, niece Wendy and nephew Nigel as well as his cousins in the Miramichi.
