Denzil Craswell
It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden death of Denzil Royce Craswell of Mann's Mountain. Denzil passed away at his residence on January 2, 2012 at the age of 66.
Denzil was the son of the late Floyd and Bessie Craswell of Mann's Mountain.
He leaes to mourn his wife of 46 years, June (Harvey) Craswell of Mann Settlement, Quebec, his son Royce (Mann's Mountain), daughters Wendy MacNaughton (Thomas), Tide Head and Darlene Sears (Patrick) Tide Head, seven grandchildren Wade, David and Mindy-Lee Craswell, Tyler and Allison MacNaughton and Emily and Joshua Sears.
He also leaves behind brothers Glen (Shirley) and Boyd (Julia) of Mann's Mountain, sisters Freida Harvey (Alfred) Mann's Mountain, Betty Adams (Jack)Flatlands, and Gladys Irvine (Murdock), Cookshire, QC, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Denzil loved the outdoors. He was a guide at several fishing camps on the Restigouche River. He worked in the woods and had a sawmill. He loed making maple syrup, gardening as well as his hobby farm. He will always be remembered for his easy going nature and his wonderful sense of humour.
Pallbearers were Wade Craswell, Tyler MacNaughton, Greg, Bobby and Kevin Law, Eric Craswell, Mark Firth and Jeff Grant.
Honorary pallbearers were Daid Craswell, Joshua Sears, Karl Craswell, Johnny Law, Don MacGillvary, Toby Fugere, Mark St. Onge, Doug Sharpe, Don Irvine, Billy Harvey, Doug Myles and Auley Craswell.
Larry Hickey
The death of Larry Hickey of St Catherines, ON occurred accidently January 4, 2012 in St Catherines at the age of 52. Born in Gravelhill, he was the son of the late Albert Hickey and the late Ida (Lapointe).
He is survived by his sisters Valerie Anne Carrier (Leonard) of ravelhill, Brenda Lee Hickey of Nash Creed, Michelle Hickey ( Breck) of Gravelhill, Rosa Hickey of Val DÀmour, Sandra Hickey (Alex) of London, ON;brothers Romeo of Moncton, John Allen of Hamilton, Lloyd of Hamilton and Calvin of Gravelhill.
Besides his parents, Larry was pre-deceased by his wife Marlene (Doucet) and brother Adam.
Paul-Emile Arseneau
It is with deep sadness that we inform you of Paul-Emile Arseneau`s peaceful passing on January 11, 2012.
A proud veteran , he shared his love of nature and life with his family and his many friends.
A dedicated man, Paul-Emile worked at the NBIP for 43 years.
He is predeceased by his wife of 59 years, Cecile Lapointe.
He will be greatly missed by Esther Cormier, his loving companion of the past eight years, his children Georges, Rachel (Paul Ferguson) Irene (Blaine Wodinsky) and Louis (Barbara Perkinson) his grandchildren who adore him Eric (Annie), Steve, David (Melanie) Jenny (PHil) and Derek, Francoise St Onge, mother of three of his grandchildren and Stephane Cormier, Esther's son, also treasured his kindness. He also leaes to mourn three sisters Roma Caron, Antoinette O'Keefe and Patricia Bernard, four sisters-in-law Rita LeBlanc, Maria Murray, Anita Lapointe and Cory Lapointe, as well as seeral nephews and nieces.
Rita Ann McDavid
Passed away at the Campbellton Village Nursing Home on January 17, 2012 at the age of 86. Mrs. Rita Ann McDavid of Tide Head. She was the daughter of the late Robert Firth and the late Martha Jane Irvine. She ran McDavid's Convenience Store in Tide Head for approximately 50 years.
She leaves to mourn her sons Peter McDavid (Gloria), Donald McDavid (Bonnie) , Curtis McDaid (Catherine) and Ian Wallis all of Tide Head, her sister Margaret amache (Raymond) of Toronto ON. Also survived by her nice grandchildren, 14 reat-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her husband Bruce Eldon McDavid, sons George McDavid, Eldon McDavid and Robert McDavid, grandson Eldon McDaid, two sisters Vivian and Bobbie, two brothers Dick and Jack.
Jackie McDavid
Jackie McDavid, 81 of Riverview, passed away on January 14, 2012 at the Moncton Hospital. Born in Matapedia, PQ, he was the son of the late Jack McDavid and Lena Mann McDavid.
Jackie was a retired conductor and brakeman with CN, having over 35 years seice, and a member of the CN pPensioner Association. He was a mason, a member of Coverdale Lodge No. 52 F&AM, and a member of the Moncton Luxor Temple Shrine Club.
He will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 55 years, Phyllis (Mann) son, Wayde (Eva) of Campbellton, sisters; Etta McDavid and Mildred MacRae both of Toronto, brothers; Stuart (Jean) of Toronto, Wallace (Anne) of Oshawa and Laird (Ellen) of Port Coquiltlam, BC, sister-in-law, Carolyn Mann of Riverview, and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.
