Michael McNaughton

Passed away accidently in Alberta on June 12, 2011 at the age of 25, Mr. Michael McNaughton.

He leaves to mourn his mother Monette McNaughton (Bourque), father Raymond McNaughton, one sister Melissa, one brother Kevin, wife Lacey McNaughton and three nieces Brooke, Hayley and Ethan, also several aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends from all over.

He also leaves to behind his maternal grandmother Carmeline Bourque.

He is predeceased by his paternal grandmother Eva McNauhton and paternal grandfather Aquilla Bourque.

Hazel Firth

Passed awy at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on June 12, 2011 at the age of 82, Mrs Hazel Ramona Firth of Flatlands. Born in Montreal on March 5, 1929, she was the eldest daughter of the late James and Jean (MacDonald) Alford.

She leaves to mourn her children John (Joy), Rick (Shirlee), eight grandchildren Aaron, Daniel, Ricky, Laura, Samantha, Christopher, Katie, Michaela and three sisters Jacqueline, Janey and Louie.

She is predeceased by her husband Donald Richard, her parents, three daughters Shirley, Vera Ellen and Marilyn.

Michel Arsenault

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Mike Arsenault, age 58, on Sunday June 19th at the Campbellton Regional Hospital. Mike leaves behind his beloved wife Debby (Née Surette) and his adored "girls" Michelle, Danielle, Lise and Josée.

He is the youngest of six children of the late Edmond Arsenault and the late Lilianne Cormier. Survived by his siblings: Father Yvon, Yvette (Jim Garland) Louise (Bob Beers), Donald (Renée née Normandeau) and Maurice, he leaves to grieve many nieces, nephews and family friends.

Mike completed his undergraduate degree in Physical Education at the University of Moncton in 1975. He went on to move to Dalhousie NB to embark on a career as a teacher and coach at LER school and Dalhousie Middle school. Being himself an athelete and a sports enthusiast, he shared his love of games and sports with his students. M. Arsenault, dubbed "cool teacher" was greatly admired and much loved by coworkers, students and the community at large. Since 2007, Mike had been enjoying a well deserved retirement and daily walks with Debby and their dog Mica.

Mike will be fondly remembered as a fun loving joker and family man. Although a private man, Mike would gather close friends and family to his infamous DJ contests and dance parties. He loved to share his passion for music with his wonderful sense of humor with the people lucky enough to have known him. Mike was at his happiest at home surrounded by his family.

Charles "Lindy" Prickett

The death of Charles (Lindy) Prickett occurred at the St John Regional Hospital Sunday, June 12, 2011 at the age of 84. Born in Lindenhurst, Long Island, he was the son of the late Frederick Prickett & the late Mary Philemon (LaPierre)

Lindy was a member of Zion United Church, New Mills serving as a lifetime Elder in the church. He was also a member of the Chaleur LSD serving as past chairman as well as a member of the solid waste committee. He loved building and flying remote control planes, boating, fishing and was a Mr. Fix it. He enjoyed his gravel truck and gave free rides to anyone interested in tagging along and perhaps the greatest of his enjoyments was taking part in the day to day operations of his son Eric's forestry operations.

Lindy is survived by his wife Betty: son Eric (Paula) of Archibald; grand-daughters Laura Gauvin (Maurice) of Blacklands and Cathy Prickett (Ryan Pettigrew) of Janeville as well as his grandaughter Marissa. He is also survived by his sisters frederica, Philemone, Jean and Mae. He was pre-deceased by his brother Bobby.

Jean Paul Landry
1938-2011

Jean Paul Landry passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L-Dumont University Centre on Sunday, June 19, 2011. Born in Campbellton, son of the late Valmond and Germaine (Lagace) Landry.

He will be sadly missed by his wife of 50 years, Joan (Vermette) , two daughters Michelle Landry of Moncton, Johanne Landry (Paul Boudreau) of Moncton, son Marc Landry (Shannon Walker) of St Stephen, eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He is lso survived by three brothers; Yvon (Cecile), Rheal (Pauline), Jean Eudes (Charlotte) one half brother, Robert, live sisters; Solange Thibodeau, Ginette (Gerry) Allary, Diane Clarke, Carole Landry (Richard), Lise (Milton) as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Jean Paul was predeceased by his brother Carol.

Jean Paul was an avid Gardner Horticulturist having grown many varieties of plants especially the meatiest greenhouse tomatoes and crunchiest cucumbers that you dould find in all of Kent County.

Donald L. McLean
1914-2011

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Lionel McLean of Bath, NB., which occurred at the upper River Valley Hospital, Waterville, NB., on Sunday April 28, 1914 in Charlo the son of the late John and Winifred (Dickie) McLean, Donald was predeceased by his wife of 62 years Irene (Swinnard) McLean.

As a member of the 4th division of the Algonquin Regiment, Donald served in World War11 from 1942-1946. He served as a clerk in England before going to the front lines on the European Continent. He saw action in France, Belgium and Holland and after being wounded in Bergin Op Zoom Holland, returned to England for recuperation and further training as a clerk. Donald was a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion and past president of the Florenceville branch and poppy campaign chairman for over 25 years. Donald was a United Church elder and trustee and a member of the Masons and Elks.

Donald took great pride in his ability to raise healthy trout and salmon while he was employed by the Department of Fisheries (1946-1978) as Superintendant at several fish hatcheries in NB and NS. His ability to remember the details of his long life and extraordinary experiences, along with his extensive reading, made his story telling very memorable.

Donald's family was his pride and joy and he was happiest at large family gatherings which often included four generations. He enjoyed the company of his good friends and neighbours. Other interests included curling, gardening and fishing.

Donald is survived by his six children M. Joan Smith (Wayne) of Hines Creek, AB, Marilyn Tompkins (Raymond) of Mount Pleasant NB, Marjory Hume (Roger Kitchen ) of Airdrie AB, Donald McLean (Maria) of Bathurst, Pam McLean-Veysey (Sidney) of Bedford NS and Carolyn Fox (Dwight Lucas) of Porter's Lake, NS, 16 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, a sister, Margaret Fawcett of Riverview NB , two brothers, Norman McLean (Edythe) of Ottawa. ON, and Albert McLean of Charlo, and several nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was predeceased by his parents, wife, Irene and 11 brothers and sisters.

Emilia Rioux

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on June 16th, 2011 at the age of 86. Mrs. Emilia Rioux (LeBlanc) of McLeod's.

She leaves to mourn her children Raymond (Lori Durette) and Roderick (Krista), dauhter in law Mariane, brother Lionel (Nick) LeBlanc, grandchldren; Andy, Sheena, Brittany, Kaylie, Erin, great grandchildren Amelia and Lilly, several nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her parents Joseph and Alberta LeBlanc, husband Wilfred, daughter Joanne, son Marc, sister Roberta, brothers Jules, Denis and Maurice Trepanier.
