Mom was unique - a rare gem, caring unconditionally, loving, giving... traits we don't see enough of in today's society... Mom was strong - she was our leader, making us strong... Mom loved her children and her grandchildren. Any spare energy or time she had, she devoted it to them. Mom listened. She was always there as much as she could be for us. She always found us something cute to brighten our day or commenting on how cute we looked. She praised us for our strengths. She cared deeply for us. She played with us and the kids. Picking fossils, flowers, roasting marshmallows, collecting autumn leaves- admiring simple pleasures with us. There was not a selfish bone in her body. She lived to give and give she did - everything and anything. Nature was her playground. She loved the beauty it contained. The earth, the sky, that special sunset, the moon and the sea of stars. She just loved simple pleasures and was truly in her element when in nature. She is with us. She was loved unconditionally for who she was - special and so sincere... She left us with a lasting impression. A rare gem is what she was.
