Adelia Poirier

The death of Adelia Poirier of Dalhousie occurred at her residence Thursday, January 14, 2010 at the age of 65. Born in Bertrand, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred Landry and the late Jeannine (Noel).

She is survived by her daughter Gisele (Etienne Roussel) of Shippegan, son Marcel of Dalhousie, granddaughter Kelly & grandson Kevin Pierre as well as her brothers Raymond and Rheal, sisters Anita Landry and Sylvia Landry.

Adelia was pre-deceased by her husband David and infant daughter Gisele.

Her funeral was held from St Jean Baptiste Church Dalhousie.

Anita Maisey

Family and friends are grieving the loss of a beautiful lady. Anita Maisey passed away on January 19, 2010 at the age of 88. The daughter of the late Lawrence and Stephenie (Roy) Doiron.

Mom is survived by her children Mavis (Maisey) Pollock of Nackawic, and Mitch (Gail) Maisey of Grande Cache, Alberta, six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, three sisters Berthe Leblanc (Montreal) Jeanne Doiron (Campbellton, NB) and Dorthy O'Neill (Calgary, Alberta).

In addition to her parents Anita was predeceased by a son Andrew, her late husband Joe, her sister Alma, and brothers Frank, John and Leo.

Visitation was held on Friday at Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.

Cecil J. Parker

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on January 6, 2010 at the age of 77, Mr. Cecil J. Parker of Robinsonville. Born in Upsalquitch, on December 2, 1932, he was the son of the late Frederick Parker and the late Elizabeth Chambers. He was a tractor Operator for 42 years.

He leaves to mourn his wife Mary Firth, his sisters Goldie Sutton of Aurora ON, Lydia (Bill) McLean of Auraora and Georgina (Jack) Powell of Peterborough, ON. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by infant son Nevin, 8 brothers Ivan, Hilton, Leonard, Vernon, Alton, Neil, Hedley and Leo.

The funeral service was held from Mahers' Funeral Chapel Campbellton, on Saturday January 9th at 2 p.m.

Henry Lyons Jr.

Henry Lyons Jr., WW11 Veteran, Royal Rifles of Canada, Hong Kong POW, died peacefully just shy of his 90e birthday and 70th wedding anniversary.

Henry was known as a great story-teller and had many passions. He loved the river and was a renowned fishing guide on the Matapedia. Henry loved the 5 C's - children, cars, cards, Canadians (Mtl) and chocolates. He enjoyed "discussing" politics and having family and friends around him but his greatest passion and love was for Isabel who he always referred to as "the sweetest girl in the world".

He is surived by his wife, Isabel, three sons, Vimy (Vera), Vaughn (Elizabeth), Conrad (Annette), three daughters, Elanor (Bernie) Mahoney, Heather (Bob) Gauvin, Debrah (Rick) Watling, a brother, Lance; 13 grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Henry was predeceased by his parents, Henry and Lou (Haley); his son, Kenneth/ his brothers Jack Norman (Helena), Merle (Joan), and his sister, Wanda (Russell) Irvine.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Palliative Care Unit, Campbellton Regional Hospital for their exellent care and kindness.

Funeral service was held at Maher's Funeral Chapel, Campbellton on Saturday January 23rd at 11 a.m.

Lyma Margaret Hachey

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on Januray 23, 2010 at the age of 83. Mrs Lyma Margaret Hachey, wife of the late Paul-Emile Messier. Born in Atholville in September 23, 1926, daughter of the late Agnes "Memory" Jane Leboeuf Hachey and the late Laurence "Larry" Hachey.

She was in the CWL Ladies auxiliary, was a Legion member and a War Veteran.

She leaves to mourn her son Michel (Liette) Ouellette of Moncton; her sister; Beverly (Omer ) Ouellette of Atholville; her brothers Carl (Sheila) Hachey; Norvel (Rose) Hachey of Atholville. Also survived by her grand-daughters; Samantha and Jennifer of Campbellton and her grandson; Justin of Bathurst.

The funeral service was held at the Our Lady of Lourdes Church Atholville on January 25th at 11 am.

Robert Poirier

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on January 18, 2010 at the age of 57. Mr Robert (Bobby) Poirier of Atholville. Born in Campbellton on December 19, 1952, he was the son of Gerard Poirier and the late Helene Hachey.

He leaves to mourn his father Gerard Poirier, his brothers and sisters Leona, Leonard (Jeanne D'Arc), Jacques (Mildred), Anita Malenfant (Aurele ), Rachel Pitre (Ghislain), Richard (Gisele), Denis (Karen), Lisa Diotte (George), Carole Gibbs (Roger) and Pierre (Elly). Also survived by 14 nieces and 11 nephews.

Predeceased by his mother Helene Poirier, brother Roger and sister Pauline.

The funeral mass was held from Our Lady of Lourdes Church Atholville on Wednesday January 20th at 2 p.m.

Robert Isaac Arseneault

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on January 17, 2010 at the age of 22. Mr Robert Isaac Arseneault of Listuguj. Born in Campbellton on June 3, 1987, he was the son of Robert Arseneault Sr., and Elizabeth Isaac.

He leaves to mourn his mother Elizabeth Isaac, his father Robert Arseneault Sr , his sister Cassandra Isaac, his brothers Jeffrey Isaac Arseneault of Montreal, Ryan Nicholas Isaac Arseneault from Montreal and Bradley Peter Isaac from Montreal.

The funeral mass was held from Ste Anne Church Listuguj on Wednesday January 20th at 11 a.m.

Yves Babin

At his residence at the age of 47, has passed away Yves Babin of Fredericton and formerly of Campbellton, on Thursday, January 14, 2010, husband of Teri Lynn Babin. He was the son of the late Roger Babin and the late Marie-Ange Martel.

He will be sadly missed by his wife Teri Lynn of Fredericton, his sisters and brothers; Jean-Guy (Kerry) of Campbellton, Lauza Babin of Montreal, Jocelyne Babin (Guy) of Richardville, Natasha (Mark) of St Basile and Rene (Lydia) of Cape Breton. He will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brotherss-in-law and friends.

Funeral service was held on Sunday, January 17, 2010 in Fredericton.
